I kind of miss "old times" when I just bought a game and played:no cheeky microtransactions(pay to win, or other cosmeticnonsense), creating accounts for nothing, no linking everything to everywhere, no paying for multiplayer etc.

But then I remind myself it's a choice, so I don't make "excuses". I try my best to choose games which are in line with my opinions.

A little off topic from the subject:
I am just at the beginning of the game( no online gaming). Is the game getting more exciting after a certain hours of gaming? Does it give more to my gaming other than driving around, collecting cars and learn driving segments?

I have mixed feeling about PS5.
One hand, it is a great console, I tried ps extra for a year and I had a good time catching up a little bit with gaming.
It bothers me all the next gen speculations and rumours. I try ignoring them but I constantly bombarded with those 'articles '.

I don't feel PS5 got its full potential. I start to think it won't deliver its potential.
For my casual gaming, I would be better off with a ps4 and some extra accessories for less.
Right now I doubt I want to invest to the next gen console. I refuse to buy 2-3 more gaming console/platform to 'cover' the gaming market.
I think I am just getting older 😀 and seeing pc world as the best option for me ( since it gave me a little bit of everything on one machine: gaming, work related, entertainment).

I wonder how others feel about this. Certainly you have different opinion if you had many past consoles. But I would love to hear it.
Deep down I would like to change my attitude to something positive 😀 I just can't turt my mood around.

I agree. As someone who came back gaming after a decade of break, and I still play only occasionally, those ps6 articles makes me mad.
I would virtually punch anyone spreading those nonsense without a break. Development is a key element of any kind of business. But can we focus and live in present for a while, please? Always this rushing in life, no fun, full potential etc.

I enjoy my first ever playstation, but I have a little bad taste since most of my games I could play on ps4 too and again, I am not a big gamer.
I guess I am just mad at myself because I think I would enjoy more a ps4 with accessories(and more money in my pocket). And a bit disappointed.

I am playing God of War Ragnarok. I am exploring a lot between main missions. So far so good. Sometimes I spend significantly more time figure out some puzzles.
Before that I played Gran Turismo, but I got bored playing only a few hours. GoW is more entertaining so far.

I have 3 games from Christmas, and most likely I won't have much time to play anything else.
I saw the preorder price for Rise of the Ronin. So, I guess I will be happy playing my other games till I see some reviews and discount on it. I guess it will take for a while 😀

After Ghost of Tsushima I am looking for next game like that.
I have no idea what is this souls like influence. I searched on Google, still no clue 😅

I am following this game news since I heard about it this summer. Surprised I barely can find anything... Sony recently added pre order price for £69.99 and £79.99. I guess I will just wait till any rock solid information comes out.

I am off from work till January, I already bought God of War Ragnarok on Black Friday, I downloaded DLC too.

Finger crossed, I will have s good time like the previous game storyline was. Or better😀

It's a nice Christmas present in my case.
I am planning to play Ragnarok during Christmas. Dlc is a bonus.

I am playing Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island Expansion. I enjoyed the main game,so I thought, why not check Iki Island. 🙂

I played a little bit with Gran Turismo 7 yesterday. Well, I am not sure I will enjoy this game, I guess I need to spend a bit more time... or it will unlock more options later in the game ?

Anyway I switched to Ghost of tsushima for the weekend, and I love it.

I tried a few games on Android in the past few years and I can't imagine going back again try some new games.
Don't take me wrong, I have two games on my phone. Those are only 5-15 minutes long per game, no advert, no microtransactions/ no pay to win bs. Similar logic, I can't truly enjoy any games like those on ps or pc either.
But I know it's a huge success model for many developers.

Oh, hang on.. I actually have two games on a tablet too. I do enjoy them and they are port from PC. Was strange the navigation first , but it was easy to get used to.

Don't forget: as long as you enjoy your gaming, doesn't matter what platform you are using.

GoW Ragnarok is between £28-30 for ps4. I don't think it will go any further till New Year.

There is a cheeky way to see discount on the app. But I almost got heart attack because it showed £100 charge first..
It doesn't show any discount until you reactivate your membership in the app and then select "subscription settings", then "change plan".

If you are interested nfs:unbound, 'Palace version ' is on sale over a week or two for £15.99.
I was tempted to buy it. I was able to try it for a month for 79p. I saved up and buying GT7 instead

I can buy Gran Turismo 7 for £30 at Argos/Curry's/smyths toys. And others sell it between £33-35 .

Just check which one is good for you as some cost more ( because of the delivery).
I can pick it up from Argos today without extra cost, and I can have 6% off with cashback.

So, you are from UK... you can get some Switch bank bonus, so in theory you could have it for less.

I can see Gran Turismo 7 ps5 for £29.99 (physical). Which is much better deal than the previous £45-50.

Ghost of tsushima ps5 £30 from argos. I can only see full price in ps store now.

I can have further 7% discount from argos having physical disks. Or ps wallet top up discount.

If you are from the UK and have disk version of ps5, just spend extra 10 mins to see all the deals out there. You might find a better deal than digital only.

I hesitated between ps5 and (for a ps5 price) a ps4 with wheel last year. Ps5 is a great console, no doubt.

But as a casual gamer (and the fact many games made both ps4/ps5), I would be better off with a ps4 and some accessories.

But then I hear people have more that 2 consoles, pc and other entertainment which I feel is a bit too much personally.

If you already have a Switch handheld... why do you want another one? Switch is good enough for those times when tv is on..?

Last time I checked on an Android tablet, I didn't have adaptive triggers.

However, I read on forums that you have it on Windows/Mac.

To be fair I understand why people divided about Ps portal. But it is not as easy to call it expensive or cheap, because the price relative in situation.

If I look at it as just for remote play fun, it is expensive. There are cheaper options if you already own a good phone/tablet/pc.

If I would hesitate between a tablet or this for playing, I would use Portal. It supposed to have better visuals on screen than a cheap tablet.

If I want a handheld for gaming, most likely I would buy Stream Desk etc instead of this because I need to buy a Ps5 as well to play on Portal.

If I would be hard-core gamer with million free time ( meaning being teenager again), I would have it with my ps5, sure. Another thing, would I really need it?!

If any household has one tv, this Portal could work just fine. I wouldn't buy second, third tv anyway in my situation.

I am curious however, people who already ordered one of these:
Why did you decide to have one? Any special circumstances?

You can't play on PS portal while your wife plays on console. I just watched a video about this product in more details.

You don't even need a Backbone controller if somebody in your household has a e.g. tablet.

A few months ago I checked the remote gameplay with my tablet and ps controller.

I can see EA offers £0.79 for a month every now and then.
I think that is a good deal just to try a couple of games. Or if you have a lot of free time(now I think mainly youngsters) complete 1-2 games easily.

I wanted to buy a racing game and I couldn't decide nfs or Gran turismo 7. With EA play trial, I have the best option:) I play a month with nfs, and probably buy GT7.

I don't intend to buy any "gamer" phone or whatsoever. But there are some impressive phone performer out there already. Just shame how many "million" of scam/crap/rubbish games are out there. I didn't see any real good game for long time.

Only enjoyable game I had (eg. on android tablet) is Rome:total war. No micro transactions, no cheating way by buying benefits etc, only buy the game and it's done.

I don't play much (almost none) with monthly games. But I do like trying games from PS extra.
Civilization VI is definitely on my list for a while.
£5 is almost nothing for the game anyway.
I can't wait to see this game.

Both editions of nfs are cheaper right now. But the standard edition is £20. You looked at the bundle version.

I think about this game: Sekiro™: Shadows Die Twice .

Not a big fan for this kind of games, but I enjoyed Ghost of tsushima, so I thought this could be a good game too.

That's more likely a discount. Not like the other day when amazon or gamer sites announced amazon prime deals in a month advance. .. which ended up like £55 for a controller 🤔 what a "deal" it was 😂

@danzoEX wanted to say, I had good time with underground 1 and 2. Even Carbon was an interesting look back in time on pc.
I would be interested for any of these remakes.

But, I would like to watch it, once it's made.

I enjoyed the game, the second part of it was so dramatic compared to the first part. Or maybe I just needed time to live my character's life.

Mobile gaming is a much bigger market than you think.
I tried dozens of games myself and I particularly don't want to do anything with most games.

There are many scams/pay-to-win/ "free" games which ruined my experience.
But I also found a few (and it is rare) which are great. (both free and paid versions).

I was checking some of my childhood games era: Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Mafia, and Counter-Strike.
Interestingly, many games development took 2-4 years of those times already.

Also, many games storylines started before 1995.
Generally, strategy games had a good storyline, still, most of the youngsters preferred custom( or called Skirmish) gameplay more.

I think the difference between recent development and the past that players were not rushing to finish the games and expecting the next round as soon as possible. Don't take me wrong, who doesn't want to continue a great storyline?! But with my friends we had so much fun time with only a few games for years. It was a bonus when the next version came out.

Edit: I've got a little nostalgic feeling. I have to boot up at least one game now:)

I am impressed with the game and I am not even into open world games
I rescued the uncle, I am doing side stories and I've got some surprises in the story. I should know it better but still surprised me with some missions. I can't wait to receive those final side stories later on.

My younger brother likes Chivalry 2 on pc.
I was considering to buy on ps, and happy that it includes on ps plus now.
I have ps plus for the Extra collection instead of these monthly games, but good to see something interesting game since Mafia. 👍

I just finished storyline. Wow, I had a good time.
I completed the original on pc, back in time and I have to realise that I couldn't remember the story or how it ended.
But I do remember a few things like race mission or bank roberry. And definitely it had a great collection of music on pc.

Since it is on ps extra, it's a good game to pick it up. 🙂

I can't be excited about these games. They are not my type I guess.
But the good news is that I have an Ssd installed, so I can easily install even 50 games from PS extra and start to explore them 😀

I bought a 2TB ssd for £150 yesterday.
If your PS shared between family then you are better having a 2TB than 1TB.

I saw 4TB for £250 on another day. Just saying.

It's crazy that I have an external hdd 4tb for less than £80, and for that money you can get only 1tb ssd.

I watched one of the Ghost of tsushima gameplay and I was amazed by watching others playing it. I already felt I am watching a "movie" instead of a gamethrough.

I can't decide I am excited about a movie or just need to continue playing the game 🤔😅

I find it funny that this wrap up thing estimates playing time correctly but on my PS I can see games with 1 or 3 hours played instead of 20+ hours.
