Re: Blackpink's Lisa Is the New Global Face of PlayStation

@PushSquare you are actually quite late on the news. The collab started a few months back. There was a "YouTube + Playstation Music Night with Lisa back in February, and a PS5 Pro ad was featured in her "FUTW" music video a day after.

Not to much success as I might add, since PS5 Pro is barely selling in Asia, compared to any Nintendo system.

But K-Pop collaboration is not surprising for Sony. With the ever growing popularity of the genre each year, Sony just has to dip in the K-Pop industry (which from concert ads and performances they seem to very HEAVILY be investing in recently). Also their animation studio just released KPop Demon Hunters movie on Netflix, which turned out to be a huge success as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see even more expanding K-Pop collabs from Sony in the future.

EDIT: For those unaware, IDOLs do tend to affect sales on pretty much anything they promote in South Korea, China or Japan especially.

Re: Ghost of Yotei's PS5 Price Provokes Fresh Switch 2 Fury

Guess which one will sell more in the end lol

To be fair, if Mario Kart World wasn't in a bundle, I wouldn't spend £75 separately. BUT at the same time I don't understand the hate specifically towards Nintendo. I mean Sony increased the price of PS5 multiple times, at the same time they had way more $70 games in the past 5 years than Nintendo had since the release of Switch back in 2017. Back when games generally got the the $60 and $70 price point there wasn't such backlash. And deep down we knew eventually $80 was coming sooner or later. Guess we didn't expect Nintendo to be the first one to implement it (considering how "affordable" they've been in the pat couple of decades).

As a consumer I just hope we don't see THAT many £75 games in the near future on Switch 2. I am looking at you upcoming Zelda and especially Gen10 Pokemon

Re: PS5 Pro Announced, Costs $700 and Out in November

No disc and the graphical and fps improvements don't justify the £700.

Thanks Sony, you just made the decision for me. I was looking forward to PS5 Pro, but now I am definitely sticking to my PS5 and instead buying the new Nintendo Switch successor.

@Logonogo Absolutely agree, the characters (including the player character) just don't look as good as we've seen in other games recently like Horizon, God of War or even FFXVI. For such a "huge" project the game just doesn't feel polished enough and it's not just the characters either - as we've seen with some of the spell integration animations.

Nevertheless I am sure I will enjoy the game, even though I am not a big fan of Harry Potter, but I would like to see how they will expand the lore of Merlin, Morgana and the house of Black.

Already pre-ordered with the hope of it improving in the graphical department and for the slim possibility of adding wizards chess in a future update or DLC. You never know, might actually turn out to be a decent game

Re: Forspoken Continues to Divide Opinion Following PS5 Demo

To be honest i quite enjoyed the demo. And yes, it had it flows and most like the final game will retain some of them too.

But this is one of the very few games that I am not as much interested in the story, but rather the combat. At the beginning the magic-swap-wheel annoyed me so very much, but after couple of hours when I got used to the spells provided I found myself swapping between melee, ranged and support abilities so freaking fast that the combat started to feel extremely satisfying. And this made me pre-order the game. I am really looking forward to the post-game where I would have the full magic arsenal and set my own combos to devastate end game bosses with style.

Re: Persona-Inspired Action RPG Eternights Announced for PS5, PS4

Visual novel dating sim meets anime arpg.

For an indie game looks quite good, but doesn't seem to be offering anything new or innovative. Generic character design, from the trailer the world seems kind of "empty". And I don't expect much of the narrative, but you never know. Will still give it a go

Re: Horizon Forbidden West (PS5) - Excellent Sequel Is a PS5 Essential

nikolai131

So hyped for it. GOTY material!!!

But I noticed from all the reviews I've watched, so many QUITE BIG and some minor popping issues. Some places while they walk into settlements the game freezes for 1-2 frames. Not so fluid animations when you switch from normal combat hits to surge animations and much much more. Hope they patch all this eventually, so I can replay it on New Game+ in all it's intended glory!
