With the release of Digimon Story Time Stranger's demo last week, dataminers have done their thing and delved into the game's code.
The big reveal? The upcoming RPG really does feature over 450 playable Digimon — a number that Bandai Namco had previously teased in the title's marketing materials.
To be more precise, the base game's roster hits a total of 452 'mons, which is undeniably impressive. From what we can gather, this is the biggest roster in Digimon game history — although we'll wait for one of you Digimon experts to correct us in the comments section before fully committing!

For comparison, 2016's Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth featured 249 Digimon, including a handful of DLC critters. Its semi-sequel, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory, added 92 Digimon to that previous roster, resulting in a total of 341 Digimon.
So yeah, that's a lot of Digimon to experiment with, and suggests that, once again, Time Stranger is going to be a cut above past titles in terms of scope and ambition.
