Re: Talking Point: Would You Buy a Virtual Reality Headset for Your PS4?

mibtar

Just great. They should have had a poll before they started making a device that no one's gonna buy. Seriously though this is gonna be a tough one for them. Feels more like a novelty than a necessity. Not a fan of FPS but it would be interesting to see it work with motion and the camera. For other games though? Moving the right stick is a lot easier than moving your neck.

Re: Gran Turismo 6 Tough to Put into Gear on PlayStation Vita

Ugh, same thing with revengeance. The Vita's already showing signs of obsolete horsepower. Specially compared to today's phones. I thought I had one hell of a machine when I bought the Vita, now just a year later it's lagging way behind my phone (at least in processor and memory). Vita's in such a bad spot, if they'd jacked up the power they'd have to jack up the price. And people would just the same be complaining. Talk about a rock and a hard place.

@get2sammyb you got me there. Seriously, do you have to mention PS4 and (lack of) Japanese centric games? Now I'm depressed. It makes sense though that they'll hold it off till TGS, but it 's still kinda strange cause there still a western market for these kind of games so why so tight lipped? Unless there really isn't anything significant coming this year. Or maybe I'm just too impatient?

Re: Sleep Tight in Techland's Dark Adventure Dying Light

First person free running? What? Seriously? Free running is so fun to watch because it's cool to actually see the stunts they pull. I'm not really sure how I'm going to enjoy watching flailing hands. I guess I'm just gonna have to use my imagination at what the character is actually doing while free running. That's so fun! How unbelievably pointless. No thanks.

Re: Feature: Eight PS4 Titles That Are Changing the Game

Seriously are they even planning to release any Japanese games aside from knack? This is my biggest problem with PS4, the games! I know FPSs are sellers but not everyone likes them. I have to wait till next year for FFXV and dark souls 2. And guess what? They're not even exclusive. C'mon Sony a bit more diversity at launch please.

Re: Strider Cutting PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 Next Year

@MadchesterManc I'm with you. Are there really no Japanese devs that capcom can give this project to? And why do they have to choose double helix? What's up with that? Do they seriously want this to fail? Why do I have so many questions? Great job letting clover go capcom.

I can still remember ornstein and smough. I almost broke my controller in half. Oh the frustrations! Anyway, happy as I am that I can play this on my PS3, I really think it would be much better on PS4's hardware. Faster load times, no blightown lag, 1080p, I could go on...

Re: Sony: Physical Games Will Be Around Longer Than People Think

mibtar

Definitely longer. If you think about CDs (music), a song compressed into a 5mb file will do for almost everyone. People can store hundreds or thousands of songs in a multi-gig player. But it's a lot different with games. Game size just keeps increasing. 40-gig sizes may just be the norm with next gen consoles. They're gonna fill up that HDD pretty fast. You'll end up deleting games when you run out of space. Might be a lot easier to just insert a disc.

Re: E3 2013: See the PS4 Camera in Action in the Playroom

mibtar

That's pretty much like DS3, move, and vita in one. I know a lot of people hate motion controls, but adding it to the controller wouldn't hurt. It just opens up the DS4 to a lot more possibilities. I hope some developers can really take advantage of the DS4's potentials.
