Sneaky.

Remember Deep Down, the impressive PS4 action title unveiled by Capcom not so long ago? Well, it would appear the game isn't all that it seems, as a new trailer released at this morning's Sony Computer Entertainment Japan press conference attests.

Despite the medieval aesthetic, the game is actually set in 2094 and seems to focus around people re-living memories — very much like Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed series. Only in Deep Down, the memories tend to be about Dark Souls-style dungeons and massive, fire-breathing dragons.

Built using Capcom's shiny new Panta Rhei game engine, Deep Down is being produced by Yoshinori "Street Fighter IV" Ono with assistance from Sony's own engineers. It will contain a procedural dungeon system and randomly-generated monsters. You'll also be able to play online with up to three friends.
