Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Really Is Just DLC, Says Its Trophy List

@NinjaNicky yeah, destructible walls would be good but if you can destroy a wall with an LMG or a frag then a cruise missle should absolutely destroy the entire building because you know.. umm.. yeah.. it can. In my opinion destroyable enviromental assets can only be implemented if the fight is takint place inside a bulding only or if killstreaks are completly removed.
It was weird in Vangurad that I could shoot a door to pieces with a sidearm but my guided bomb didn't even scratch the rooftop.

@NinjaNicky "They could have just added the maps to MW2" with that part I agree. They shouldn't have reworked the whole thing and released a separate game named MW3. But you have to understand that creating dozens of new maps, modelling new guns and operators is costs HUGE amount of money. Not to mention a new campaign, including the actors salary (even if it just 7-8 hours long). One of my friends is working as a 3D artist here in Hungary. The studio he's working at was involved creating assests for Vanguard. I'm a software developer myself (web and android, not games tho). We had countless chats about making a videogame. It's hard and heavily time consuming.
I guess they renamed the DLC to MW3 for this exact reason. They invested millions making it but for a "DLC" they can't charge $70. If they do so, people would rage: "$70 for a DLC?!?! Kidding me?!?". Personally I would understand this pricetag since I know how much work has been done but 90% of the players wouldn't.

As for the destructive maps... well, imagine an average COD map leveled to the ground by killstreaks, RPGs and frags. They are just too small. Players would see each other from spawn points after 2-3 minutes.

@NinjaNicky well.. technically almost every multiplayer fps is "the same game" with different settings and graphical styles. You shoot a gun/bow or swing a sword/hammer/bat/ect. As @Constable_What said, no one should feel ashamed because buying a game they like. I'm not buying a brand, I tried many fps along the way but right now if it comes to multiplayer I only play COD (the mw series in particular). I'm not liking the brand, I'm liking the gameplay, the mil-sim feel they created.

Re: Yes, Alan Wake 2 Will Make Proper Use of PS5's Pad

Remedy is one of the few game developers I haven't been disappointed in yet, so I don't care that Alan Wake 2 is digital only. I bought it and preloading as we speak. If you really want to play it, I don't think not having a physical version would be a problem. You can always buy it later on a sale if the full price is the issue.

Re: Xbox Boss Promises '100% Parity' for Call of Duty on PS5, PS4

@KillerBoy I do, yes. I play COD regularly between big launches like spider man or Alan wake. I know it's basically the same stuff every year but I'm having fun with it (and that's the point, is it not?). It's like billiard. The map (table) is always the same, the game modes always the same but it's still fun after the 4000th times because I find it fun.
Don't call a game trash just because it's not your thing. Personally I don't like Fortnite at all but I don't say it's trash because it's clearly a polished, well made game (just like COD) and millions having fun playing it.
We are not the same.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Assassin's Creed Mirage?

The reviews and the gameplays I saw did not convince me at all. It's like a McDonald's cheeseburger. The quality is let's say Ok, the price tag is also Ok but I had it so many times that I just do not want it anymore except when I'm drunk. Anyways, I'm still playing lies of p and I'm looking forward to spiderman and Alan wake so... maybe when it's half the price.

Re: Reaction: Has Sony Put Together the Worst PS Plus Month Ever?

matekomlosi

Since I buy every game I find interesting day one (Alan wake, spider man ect), for me ps plus is mainly just for the multiplayer. But there are many games I want to try but would never spend a penny on them. Since I do not have a backlog to finish I will give them a go but I'm pretty sure these playruns will be quite short ones. Generation zero is just looks so bad that I must punish myself with playing it half an hour.

Re: Alan Wake 2 Was Delayed on PS5 to Avoid Going Neck to Neck with Spider-Man 2

matekomlosi

I would like to play at least 5 games this year but in a story-driven game I always find myself check every corner to see what's up. When they say it takes about 20 hours to beat them, in my case it's 30 hrs at least (and I'm not talking about platinuming the game, just wondering around at my own pace). I will start with Mirage, then lord of the fallen, spider man and so on.. Considering my speed with the limited time I get to play games when I finally grab Alan wake it will be late December. Of course I will not buy/preorder a new game till I finished the previous one, it doesn't make sense to do so.

Re: Helldivers 2 PS5, PC Release Date May Be Set for October

matekomlosi

I bought on day 1 but just finished final fantasy 16 since I have little time gaming and I don't like rushing through a game. Since I'd like to play ac mirage, Alan wake 2 and not to mention several other games upcoming in August and September, when I get to play spider man a whole year will pass but at least there are bunch of good releases this year. In last year I played only 3 games.
