@itsfoz I think the biggest problem I saw were some people trying to use their 2nd ps5 and couldn't play their games because of the psn outage because it wasn't set to be their primary console. Granted I can imagine very few people have two consoles, but it could be a problem in the future
I think my biggest concern is are people gonna invest in the xbox platform just to pay a monthly fee when they can buy Sony's platform and just get the games you want along with the sony's games. The less people who buy the xbox means less people to buy into gamepass is less money for microsoft. It's a weird situation to be in for them.
I finally bought it as a wired solution for my pc. I've used it on my ps5, but I feel like like the support for psvr 1 was so much more in terms of big names (Doom, skyrim, Borderlands, etc.) and they should have updated their own games. I'd love to play Astro Bot again on better hardware.
I've felt like they were worried about it's success before launch. Some of their own games felt lazy even at launch. How do you launch a kart racer without online multiplayer, then later on a resistance game that was somehow worse than the one on the previous handheld, and don't even get me started on some of the terrible ps2 ports sony published.
In all honest I'm completely happy with ps4 level power on a handheld. I was actually happy just having 360 level power on the go. Lots of fun games to be had.
I don't disagree with him one bit tbh. I've seen been plenty of times games will get trashed for having a 70-89 score. If i'm being perfectly honest I've enjoy far more of those then the Uber polished cinematic games that keep getting churned out as of late.
I loved my psvr and I love my quest 2, but it feels like sony treats this like they did the vita. So odds are the vr games will be multiplatform and I can just use my quest 2 to play those on my pc. If they put more first party support on it I'd consider it.
@AverageGamer Theres a chance capcom has staff that worked on the first Dead Rising. The first one was developed in house while the sequels were done by a different company they eventually bought.
I hope they add an option to turn on the auto aim for future play throughs. I had a good time getting the platnum, but those smaller enemies were clearly made with the auto aim in mind.
I loved the psvr and quest 2 especially wired to my pc, but I don't think I have any desire to have another headset laying around. If the psvr 2 was designed with backwards compatibility then I'd like just sold my psvr and bought it, but as I said I just don't need another.
Playing through Resistance right now. I'm having a good time and they actually implemented the dual analog features that the ps3 would allow, but I throws me off because it uses r1 and l1 more than r2 and l2. I'm a bit worried about the leapers later on though because from what I remember they were way harder without the auto aim and it can't be turned on.
I don't have Premium, but I will buy Resistance if it's available for purchase on the store. I love that game and wanted to play it in HD, but last I checked it was broken on ppsspp.
@Ainu20 Gamepass isn't just the cloud and Xbox these days It also on pc. They also sell their games on nintendo, steam, and playstation now. They aren't just dependent on Xbox anymore.
I'm perfectly happy with my series x as well as my ps5. Personally I think most companies would be happy to have half the install base as the ps5. At this point microsoft is perfectly happy as long as you subscribe to their services on any device. Hopefully things get a bit better the console market is always better when there is competition.
It doesn't really matter to me because I have an xbox and will play on gamepass. I'm also not really a fan of playstation's controllers tbh so I usually use my PS5 for exclusives and my xbox series x for third party games.
I'm surprised they haven't dropped the price to at or under $200 at this point. I'd say it's still say it's a great entry console at that price and to get more casual sales like they did with the ps2 back in the day. It still has access to a huge library that is still growing to this day.
@Deoxyr1bose Sadly I don't think it's just a gaming problem. It's a problem with certain fans that go out of their way to harass people regardless if it's video games. It happens with tv stars, movie stars, etc. It's feels like it's more of a mental illness issue where people think they've done nothing wrong by harassing people.
@3Above Probably at this point it's to keep piracy on pc to a minimum. Someone would buy that and have that disc everywhere day one. Which sucks because I used to love boxed pc games
@TripleKing333 According to John, from digital foundry, it was a brand new build of the game. I imagine it's alot easier (Cheaper) for a first party to get recertification on a game than CDPR.
@HammerKirby3 John from digital foundry speculates that in order to have it all on disc they would need to recompile the game with the dlc included as one build which means they'd have to resubmit the game to sony too. According to him Sony doesn't allow dlc to be included on disc. Meanwhile Xbox have allowed you to have dlc on disc. I've seen the legacy edition of Cod infinite warfare use the xbox one disc as the download key for Cod4 remastered. The ps4 version had a download code.
The premium games are a bit odd imo you could already play the medievil remake on extra and ape escape ps1 had already been on premium. I feel like they could have gone with other psp/ps1 games tbh
I can’t say I’ve personally bought a game this generation at the $70 price tag. Most games launch needing patches so I usually wait it out and they’re usually cheaper by then too.

I love mine, I got it during the black friday deals. I'll be honest though I use it more on the pc side than on my ps5.

@carlos82 I'd rather still be able to play a buggy version of my game than no game at all tbh.

100 percent the reason I'll never trust a Digital console.

I actually loved the sackboy game at launch. So it's nice to have another platformer.

I wanna buy it a launch, but I also don't wanna buy it at launch and then have pc port that will probably have mods at some point launch later.
