This best be a free upgrade or at MAX £10.
Edit: have been informed I can't read...
It should be free
@Oram77 can't you read haha? £10
@Oram77 u should read above £10 upgrade fee
I’m sure somebody is interested in this.
“Enhanced photo mode” as one of the main features lmfao, not worth even a £10 upgrade and I enjoyed Days Gone.
Stop being lazy Sony.
@Dimey Reading is for the weak lol
@TruePlayStationGamer That would take actual effort.
Will there be a physical release?
It's gonna look incredible on the Pro 🤤 I hope they've increased horde sizes too!
Again no God Of War remastered collection what an absolute joke I love Days Gone but jesus effing Christ WHAT THE HELL IS SONY ON!!! Honestly as far as I'm concerned PS5 is Playstation's Wii U
Its amazing that Bloodborne doesn't even get a 60fps but Days Gone a dead franchise gets a PS5 "remaster".
@DennisReynolds I think at this point, a Bloodborne remake will be a PS6 launch title.
Well, this wasn’t on my bingo card…
Nah. Game was mid at best.
I really like Days Gone. Haha.
I'd much rather have remasters of InFamous and InFamous 2, but I'll take this. It's fun enough to be worth one more play through at some point.
Happy days definitely up for this
So will we finally get days gone 2?
I’ll buy it if it’s available physically
Been waiting to do a second playthrough of this. Least now those wanting a sequel can put their money where their mouth is
I'll give this one a go on Pro. (Please let there be another great first-party support of the Pro…)
@get2sammyb I'm with you man. Slow start but brilliant when it gets going. The actual world is lovely to explore as well.
Really enjoyed days gone, think it easily deserved a sequel. Absolutely no interest in a remaster though, same as horizon or any other game I played just a few years ago that won't have changed much if at all. I'll maybe play it again when it eventually gets put on ps+ extra
Curious about the new horde mode. Saw another site describing it as (maybe) similar to TLOU 2's No Return mode.
Even MORE curious if those of us who have a PS4 copy as a PS Plus freebie can still do the $10 upgrade... I'll bite at that price, but I'm not gonna shell out full price otherwise.
This gen is just remaster after remaster
I was going to replay it this month but now I'll wait until April and play the remaster. 10 bucks for the upgrade isn't bad. It does look like they have put some work into it and with the haptic feedback it should be a pretty good experience.
@Weebleman I agree.
Definitely not interested in a remaster. Had a great time with the original release though, ripping around the world on your bike was pretty damn fun.
I would be up for a sequel though
Really Sony? Really?
@AdamNovice hopefully this is a step in that direction. The game ended with a cliffhanger.
We really got Days Gone Remastered before Bloodborne Remastered. Wow.
@Netret0120 I wouldn't really care accept for the fact that they keep re-releasing games THAT ARE ALREADY PLAYABLE ON PS5!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHH!!!!!
@Fluberuper I’m definitely interested, as I never played the original.
Remasters get a bad rep from the super-engaged hardcore players who have probably mostly already played these games, but for everyone else it’s just another opportunity for a game to be back in the limelight and pick up more players/fans.
@ManaOwls I was looking on the ps blog is a digital only title
@jFug it’s unfortunately digital only

There are literally more new games being released now than ever in the history of gaming. Can’t keep up and my backlog just gets longer and longer.
I really don't get people who are saying the gen is all remasters. There's honestly too many games to play these days. Never seen anything like it.
I remember back in the early days of doing these websites we'd try to review everything. I know this was a big thing for Nintendo Life in particular. It's an IMPOSSIBLE task these days.
Benny hill simulator but in 4k
@get2sammyb Perhaps lay off the Infinity Nikki & get cracking then😉
@themightyant the first few hours are a little slow but stick with it and it will surprise you. Especially once your bikes upgraded.
@jFug Same here, unfortunately the PS Blog states this will be a digital only release.
I was on the fence but a hard pass from me
@SoulReaper-72 you can pick up the ps4 disc pretty cheap and just get the upgrade. I would also like a native physical release but this is kinda half way.
@get2sammyb People are saying wild things tonight....
@themightyant So, I was right. Someone was interested, haha.
But it seems it can't be upgrade from ps plus collection, so no to a 71 score game.
@SoulReaper-72 well, I guess another game will get my money then lol
@Weebleman amazing timing too. One of my best mates has been playing Days Gone and waxing lyrical about it, I promised him I’d finally get around to it. April it is then.
Look I'm not the frame rate guy but seriously, this can't run at 60 in 4k? Even scaled using pssr? What's left for Sony to "remaster" now then that nobody really cares about? Seems like the franchises people want get ignored and games nobody really gives a stuff about get the special treatment 🤣
@77dreams Buy a used copy and then upgrade it. Be PS5 disc drive kinda quick though because prices are gonna go up now I would imagine.
I sold my original PS4 copy when I got the PS+ freebie, but I purchased another copy a few months back because I thought the rumours of the remaster were probably true. It paid off.
@Lukeded That score is from launch when it was quite buggy and the fps tanked. I got the Platinum while playing at around 20 fps towards the end and still enjoyed it.
Well, for those that wanted a sequel, here's your change to put your money where your mouth is. Me? I already sank hours upon hours of gameplay without using fast travel, just bike riding through the open world and upgrading my bike along the way. There's no way I'm playing this again, lol.
@ManaOwls I hope so
I don't understand is Sony telling us that Days Gone was more successful than Bloodborne? No one was asking for a remaster of Days Gone, officially is a dead franchise (2 got canned) yet it needed a remaster asap?
By the time I got round to considering playing this, rumours of the Remaster had surfaced so I held off. Glad I did, get to play it for the first time on the Pro.
One of my all time favorites.I will be paying the $10 upgrade
Kool maybe we'll get that sequel
It had pacing issues, but I enjoyed Days Gone. The hordes were great once it got going. Might pay the upgrade tax to try and convince Sony there was something here worth building from.
@Dan12836666 would you go to work for free?
@Lukeded it's not a 71 score game. Of you read the reviews they all mentioned the bugs but other games get a free pass. It's an 85+ game. It's awesome.
@get2sammyb Either some people loves to exaggerate their complaint or they just ignorant af.
@PorkChopExpress I’d agree if they were charging $70 but they’re not. $10 upgrade seems totally reasonable for those who want it. If you don’t then just skip it.
Is it really a “Remaster” when it looks like the PC version running at Max Settings?
I guess that’s why the PC version is only getting the extra stuff as DLC instead of a separate “Remaster” release like Sony did with Horizon Zero Dawn.
@Oram77 Why Bloodborne of all games for this PS6?
I saw another video that said that people that have their copy of Days Gone free from PS Plus aren't able to get the 10 dollar upgrade. Is this true ?
Was really happy to see this announced on the state of play show. I really enjoyed Days Gone and and was one of my favourite ps4 games. I was wanting to play it again on ps5, but because I already got the platinum ( quite a easy one actually ) then the 60fps undated wasn't enough motivation, but i will be happy to pay the £10 update and get all the trophies again. I already have the disc copy as I got the metal box copy, it came with the plastic empty box too for whatever reason 🤔 😂
Days gone remaster? Yeah ok 10 bucks yeah ok. Im a fool sony???!!! We want days gone 2 not a crap remaster. Will not be too diferent.
@Andy22385 I have played the game, the terrible level design is drag me crazy
Will it also be a $10 upgrade for those that got the game via the PS Plus collection on PS5?
@themightyant it's a fantastic game, enjoy
@RBMango good I don't like Bloodborne so suits me. Glad we're all allowed opinions. When you get your remaster or whatever I won't comment on that page slagging it off though.
@GamingFan4Lyf I have the PC version so I don't think it does. I can imagine the lighting will be better etc. But I know it won't be as good as my modded version sadly 🤣
As luck would have it, this was on my list to try and get to this year. Honestly I can’t tell that it looks all that much better than the PS4 version, unlike Horizon Zero Dawn. But I think $10 is a low enough price to just go for the best version for my initial playthrough.
@Vladspartan this is how you get days gone 2 I imagine. If this is a disaster it'll never happen. After the failure of part 1 they aren't gonna spend 3-4 years making part 2 without testing the waters like this
@Lukeded it's open world I'm not sure how that's terrible level design. Something round every corner pretty much I thought it was good level design
Looks exactly the same as the 60fps version on ps5
@Andy22385 yeah, in open world it's fine. But when main story design I got annoyed several times
I love days gone but I really don't get the point of the remaster
@Stale-Bread Why would you assume it can't run at 4k/60fps? It most certainly will run at 4k/60 with PSSR considering how every other PS Studios game that supports the Pro runs at those settings. I mean, the PS4 version already runs at checkerboard-4K/60 on a standard PS5. I honestly don't understand where you're coming from with that comment.
@Entrr_username Because that will almost guarantee to shift a lot of consoles, Just look at what the Demon Souls remake did.
One of the best games I've played. I also have it on Steam so I can take away on steam deck. The horde mechanics are incredible. The story is excellent and it's the most underrated ps4 post apocalypse game. I shall be getting the extra on PC, but will definitely get it on PS5.
Lots of people are missing what this release is really about.... This is clearly a test of the market to see if there is demand for Days Gone 2... Hopefully enough people see what it is for and jump at the opportunity to buy this so that we can have Days Gone 2!
I will absolutely be buying this when it releases in April!
Presumably, if enough people buy into the franchise we will see a sequel. Which is at least three years away from today.
Does Bend still employ the losers that hated on Days Gone?
Did they say... Horde Assault???
SOLD!
@xDD90x It's the way the article was written. 4k and improved visuals etc in resolution mode, high frame rates in performance. It reads like it's 30 in Res and 60 in performance. Unless you get 4k 60 in resolution and upto 120 in performance. In which case I see no reason for the distinction as I'd play 60 locked with all the bells and whistles. That's the reason why I queried it, seemed a tad strange as I'm sure the original PS4 version running on the base PS5 is 60fps although I could be mistaken.
Either way I bought this in a sale years ago on PSN for about £8, played It for an hour and then never went back, this could be the excuse I need.
@Stale-Bread Oh. The 2 modes were referring to the base PS5, which has been the case with most games this gen. But the Pro should eliminate the need to compromise with the help of PSSR.
