Re: Biomutant on PS4 Part of Sony's Free Game Trial Service This Month

@GHockey Great thanks! So although Sony have been a bit weird with this one, there's actually no real problem since anyone could set up a secondary account to download the trial(s) in advance and then play them when they're ready to on their own account? I get that people don't want to have to go to the trouble of doing this and they really shouldn't have to, but it isn't a major issue if there's such a relatively simple workaround!

Also it means I can download ones like Sackboy (that I quite fancy myself) and get the full access time to it and then my youngest can get the same amount of access on his account too to try it out!

Thanks for the reply!

Genuine question - I have my kids set up with sub accounts. Could I use one of their accounts to download the game and have the timer start there, then when it's done (or when I'm ready to start playing it), Just log into my account and start the whole 5 hours of play time access fresh? Or does that not work? Seems like it should do, but I haven't seen anyone suggest it as a work around?

Re: Hands On: PS5's External Storage Feature Offers Speedy Solution to Launch Fears

So, if you can't download/install straight to external drive, does this mean that if a PS5 game receives an update, you could find yourself transferring the fame from the external to the internal and then having to wait for an update/patch to download and install too? Or is it clever enough to know that the fame is on an external drive and download the patch quietly to 'other' ready to install automatically when you next move it to internal storage (I'm assuming not)?

Re: Poll: Do You Have a PS5?

I'm part of the admin team on a UK Facebook PS5 group and we're constantly inundated with post requests asking if anyone knows where they can get a PS5 or when the next drop will be. We haven't run a poll recently to see what the split is like, but it feels like around 40% probably don't and are actively searching (it would be a lot more, but we don't accept people who are purely asking to join because they just want to find stock). There's certainly a lot of frustration and anger at the retailers and scalpers, but also a total lack of understanding of the impact of Covid on supply chains and component availability too.

In tail tag I got hit by the spinning hammer/pole and instead of being booted into the middle of the arena I got booted outside the arena. I was able to run around, but on the outside away from any other contestants who could grab my tail. I just had to sit and wait for the time to run out to progress to the next round.

Re: Rumour: February's Free PlayStation Plus Games Include LittleBigPlanet 3 on PS4

Out of interest, if LBP3 was free and I downloaded it, would the save files from the disc version be picked up by the digital copy. I've barely played it, but thinking more about the wife and kids who have invested time in it. Digital is so much more convenient - have been toying with the idea of getting Minecraft on digital, as I'm sick of constantly having to swap that disc out (kids) every single time I want to play a game, but the question of save files transferring over has always stopped me.

Re: Review: Knee Deep (PS4)

@get2sammyb Ah, ok thanks. It says Latest Reviews at the top and then the month, so I just assumed that would mean that it's like the News page with the most recent at the top. Doesn't that mean though that all new reviews would be posted at the bottom of the month/page, as the fact that they're new would mean that they are the least read? I'd been checking the reviews page and just assuming that nothing had been reviewed since RE7. If you're taking feedback, would suggest defaulting to viewing by most recently posted on each page and have an option to toggle by most popular. Most popular is good for occasional visitors only, I'd suggest, and those of us that visit several times a day would tend to just look for the most recently posted.

Doesn't sound like I would have missed anything, but nearly didn't see the reviews for both this and Earthlock as they are showing in the News section but not the Reviews section.

I'm really intrigued by this one, but I'm almost certain that I'll have to pass on it. I can't play FPS because of motion sickness (I loved the 45 minutes that I spent on the Destiny Beta, but not the 2 hours that I had to spend looking out of the window trying to recover)! Although this isn't an FPS, I'm guessing that the first person view will do the same to me again here. Shame.
