@Odium No 100% confirmation but it’s most likely it will. Only a few weren’t and some of those were later updated and now can be. Trophies have been confirmed for both Myst and Riven though!

@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare You’re right on the money. We usually get two or three classics per month with Premium, for example, yet this month we only got one. But wait! We have two “bonus” classics coming so that makes the usual three. What a coincidence.

@12AngryCats We’ve had the whole trilogy included over the years. Vice City was added to PS Now in February 2022, and GTA3 was added in December 2021, so since GTA3 is coming back VC will likely follow at some point.

@Vivisapprentice Some others have gotten as well such as Oddworld and Alone in the Dark.

For everyone saying Resistance and InFamous remasters are incoming: they could be but them leaving Plus has nothing to do with it. TLoU PS4 is still on there even though the PS5 remake came out AND was also added to Plus. There’s also MediEvil PS1 original, PSP remake, and PS4 remake all on there together.

Only one new game on Premium this month is simply abysmal. Do better Sony or perhaps stop raising the price!

War of the Monsters is already on Premium so it’s essentially just one new addition this month. Very weak 💀

A positive however is it will at least have a platinum this time around.

While I agree PS5 has been a slow gen when it comes to first party, going after Insomniac is just silly when they’ve been the most prolific of all Sony’s studios.

They’ve really missed the boat on this one. If it had released on PS5 from the start (as was originally planned) it would’ve been a success no doubt, but now? I don’t think so. The damage is done and there’s zero hype for it.

• Freedom Wars was created by Dimps

Japan Studio only provided external support akin to what XDev do now.

Yeah, it will definitely have new trophies, and most likely one shared list between the two games. PS5 can’t have two lists for one game app.

What’s the point of this when 1&2 are already available for PS4, and by extension PS5?

It’s a shame Square Enix held on to these and therefore Limited Run are porting them. If Gex had stayed with Crystal Dynamics then Sabre could have done a far better job like the Tomb Raider and Legacy of Kain collections.

@Deadhunter There’s no PS3 emulation that’s why so it would be streaming-only if it was the PS3 game. Also worth noting, the PSP/2 version is a completely different game so if anything both versions should be available.

Cool! I thought it was never going to come over to PS. I loved 1&2 back in the day but never did get 3 in the end. Might have to change that.

Also, I can’t help but notice how the other gaming websites mentioned in this article say Microsoft in their headlines while this one has chosen to say Xbox. It’s like PushSquare is trying to stoke console wars or something.

Xbox ≠ Microsoft. Games published by Bethesda or Activision are separate from Xbox Studios division, but all fall under Microsoft. So a more accurate statement would be “Microsoft is publishing more than Sony”.

They announced PixelJunk Eden 2 for PS5 years ago and will now have released two other games instead of it. At least just say if Eden 2 is still coming.

Add that to the list of classics leaked but yet to release, then. Alone in the Dark 2 has leaked two/three times by now and was even up on the store (before being removed) on two separate occasions. 😂

@Oram77 Did you read it? “The game's developer, Ubisoft Montpellier, was disbanded in October.” This is not true, or at least not worded correctly. Ubisoft Montpellier was not disbanded, just the team within it that worked on this game. Hence why Godot25 suggested the article be corrected. The subheading also reads “RIP Ubisoft Montpellier” which is a clue what the article is (wrongly) saying.

MediEvil 2 is worth it alone as this will be the first time it’s ever left PS1. It wasn’t re-released on PSP or PS3, so many people will be enjoying it for the first time. 😁

@Bez87 Classics don’t “switch in and out” of premium, and they are all available to buy individually as well. So I’m not sure what your gripe is here?

@ThomasHL Exactly. GTA is well-known for having trailers that look better than the final product. GTA IV was memorable for that.

I still believe the UK gov should never have ditched the decades-old familiar and trusted BBFC ratings on games for the weak PEGI system. Everyone in the UK knows the BBFC ratings as they’re on every DVD, at every cinema, on streaming apps etc. and they are legally binding. On the other hand, nobody takes the slightest notice of PEGI ratings.

Love Astro Bot but best for Accessibility features? No. It had like no customisation settings to tweak gameplay. It wasn’t good on that front.

Well only PS1, 2 and 5 don’t while PS3, 4, PSP and Vita do, and I think we can forgive 1&2 but to take away the option for 5. That’s a different story.

Well one memory of mine is getting that exact crystal green controller in the photo from the shops with my dad. It was my favourite one so I never let anyone else use it. Think I still have it in a box tucked away.

Yes! So this pretty much confirms an anniversary classics blowout. We usually only get 2 or 3 a month, so with these 3 just being an early preview, more will probably be announced on the usual third Wednesday of the month! 😍

@Overmind Fair enough. 😊 As a TR fan I’m just a bit peeved at slogging through Legend with a vaseline finish (the emulated version looks terrible) when there will most likely be a remaster coming now anyway. Would have really been a piss take if I had paid the £16 they were asking too! 😬

@ATaco Certainly, if you’re a PC player. That obviously isn’t an option on consoles though. What R* did on PC with this trilogy is shameful for sure but I’m only really speaking about the console releases.

@Flaming_Kaiser Vice City is my favourite as well, and for what it’s worth I absolutely loved my time getting the 100% and platinum trophy on both the PS4 emulated version and the remastered version.

But yes, I do agree that it was a flawed product. Their first mistake being the hiring of the god-awful War Drum/Grove Street Games again after their first attempt at a San Andreas remaster (on PS3/360). I just feel it didn’t deserve quite the amount of hate it got. What saddens me most is that any chance of the GTA Stories finally getting the spotlight they deserve with a release on modern platforms probably disappeared after that backlash.

@ButterySmooth30FPS Fair enough. I didn’t have any problems as major as that during my playthroughs. Worst thing I experienced was that weird line across the middle of the screen on SA.

@Flaming_Kaiser I’m not making excuses. I literally said there were problems. 😂 Rockstar are not saints and are certainly not in my good books these days. That said, players weren’t fair either. The games simply were not “unplayable”. That was my point. Sorry I’m more balanced in my view and not just jumping on the “R* bad” train.

@ATaco They did, on PS4, and people moaned about those too. Truth is people just like to complain. The remasters obviously had issues at launch but no way were they “not worth playing” until now. It just became fashionable to hate on them.

@Kelrics90 Don’t forget the collectables! Everybody wants them right? They’re even going for 1250 points now, equivalent of the old £5 wallet top up. What a steal! (for Sony that is)
