I've been watching these awards live every year since 2016, but I think I'll skip out on it this time. It's always been an overhyped show every year, and I don't remember any particular year where I thought it was amazing. It's also at a stupidly late time for us in the UK... Only thing that's convincing me is that it's Playstations 30th anniversary so there's a chance they might show something big...
Still undecided on whether to play in English or Japanese dub. Im fine reading subtitles (i've played many yakuza games), but the lip sync might put me off from playing in japanese dub.
I hope game sizes are reduced drastically, because that 825gb is gonna run out quickly. Im talking 'Sekiro' like file sizes, which if i remembered correctly is only like 12gb which is insane
Difficult decision. On one side, both the PSVR and Oculus will get more games, however for Sony, I think a lot of what is making the PSVR quite successful is with those exclusive games like Astro Bot, Blood and Truth etc. I think its best for Sony to wait at the moment. Wait for the release of the PSVR2 and further grow the install base
Realistic acquisitions in my opinion would kojima productions, Ready at Dawn and Bluepoint. Insomniac is pretty proud of their independence and I dont think that will change anytime soon.
MS has failed to understand what the consumer wants over the last 6 years. The difference in power between PS4 and Xbox one was not significant at all but the media blew it out of proportion, with countless articles saying this games runs 1080p on ps4 and 720p on Xbox one, made MS feel they lost this gen due to power. I was hoping they would learn from there mistakes and start to focus on providing great games to people. And they have made the right steps by acquiring plenty of studios. I always expected the next Xbox will be more powerful than the ps5. But with the ps5 having great exclusives on the way and backwards compatibility with ps4 games, those 90+ million players aren't switching sides anytime soon....

Xbox's new studio The Initiative just grabbed the lead level designer from God of War and now a sony studio also grabbed a talented dev from Rockstar. Things are heating up
It may be that Sony decided to axe the multiplayer because they want to focus on single player experiences, but I dont think thats the case. I think Sony already anticipates that this game is not going to be a big hit like god of war, Spiderman etc so they decided theres no real point investing more money into the project than necessary

How the hell did Aloy make it this far. She is a lifeless character and no way near fleshed out as some of the other many characyers in video games. Would've liked to have seen a Drake/Kratos final.
When shawn layden referred to "breaking tradition" be meant the idea of not revealing what's going to be shown at e3. Obviously he broke that tradition this year by telling us what games we will definitely see
During the interview the creative director also said the game will be out before TLOU2 which confirms TLOU2 is a 2019 game. Most people expected this already but some were still skeptical, especially after the Walmart canada leak which included the last of us 2 along with other games that look to be coming in 2018 as well.
Sony's conference will really depend on Microsoft's conference. Since Sony always has their conference after Microsoft's, they would want to one-up it like they have done every year. If MS shows Gears of War 5 and Halo 6 and maybe something else to surprise everyone, then most likely Sony will pull something up their sleeves.
