Re: Mini Review: Outcast: A New Beginning (PS5) - A Rough Around the Edges Action Relic

This was to be expected although the flying looked interesting from what I had seen. Miles ahead of something like DBZ Kakarot which nobody complained about its PS1 axis flying controls.

I don't know how much longer I need to wait, but I'm still waiting for years and years for a game to come out with great flying controls inside a great openworld. Even Hogwarts felt too stiff and unpolished.

I was so excited for Rocksteady making a Superman game (turned out to be SS)... But those Arkham games do have amazing gliding controls and they're the only ones that come close

Anthem sucks, so no.

Along with all their other IP's.
I have seen zero gameplay and I can bet my money on the fact that they haven't improved a goddamn thing since Crew 1.

All Ubisoft cares about is: map big enough, lots of cars, lots of weapons, "howdo you do fellow kids" cool factor, multiplayer, social media/ live service aspects of their games and godawful accents.

They always have the shallowest of checklists with every game and they never stop and consider if their games actually play right at the core for people to even bother wanting to put hours into their shiiite games.

Crew 2 had a million different cars and vehicles and planes, etc. None of which actually played right, had the right physics, the right sound, nothing. It's all copy/ paste garbage to waste your time.

This being free is an insult to people's time /rant

They've got a point though?
Nothing wrong with strong characters of any kind, but to force it down people's throats with horrible, HORRIBLE writing and garbage characters... Holy crap now that's offensive.
And I did take offence to the nonsense in Spider-Man.
I don't want to be forced down people's throats, it's embarrassing as hell, especially when it's these obvious forced characters and "storytelling" that do so.

What happened to actual strong characters of any kind that didn't suck and actually empowered whatever they "represented" without trying to represent anything

Re: Significant Discounts Suggest Ubisoft's PS5 Pirate Game Skull and Bones Is Already Struggling

@8bit4Life
Sony gave up on Factions 2. If any game had an insane potential for success it would've been that.
Helldivers 2 might give some hope for Factions 2, but Sony's really incompetent sometimes.
Helldivers 2 wasn't that big of a project, so the risk was lower. I can only imagine how big Helldivers 3 will be.

Point is, you can't just roll around in shiit and call it a live service game like Ubisoft does. The difference is that Sony actually DOES finish their games and then release it. If a game is crap and clunky on day 1, who in the name of hell would want to spend so much time on it? The core needs to carry that many hours of gameplay and literally no Ubisoft game is polished enough to do so.

This pisses me off so goddamn much, it's insane.
How in god's name did they can factions 2 ffs. Best multiplayer released in the past decade besides something like rocket league.
They had gold... They were almost there...
God now I'm annoyed af lol

Comparing these two games is such a mental gymnastic that even a child would have the critical thought not to do so.
They are scores for their own games respectively. If I see a 10/10 for a top view MMO, I'd still not play it while I'd immensely enjoy a 7/10 game that fits my needs.
Such a pathetic comment lmao

He's starting sniffing so much of his own farts, he's overdosed and ruined TLOU2 in some way.
I still think it was close to a masterpiece, but that technical team can make everything a masterpiece.
The story was just typical Redditor mental gymnastics who lashes out against "haters" who happen to be kids

Re: Your Allies Will Determine Your Playstyle in PS5 Exclusive Rise of the Ronin

@Nepp67
You can have a story like that and then proceed to give the main character superpowers.
It has nothing to do with the gameplay being grounded... Gameplay. Which is obviously the topic here all along.
Besides that the storytelling itself was pretty mediocre. Felt like a passing game. Something you enjoy, finish and never play again. Didn't leave that much of a mark. It felt safe, just like a lot of Sony games as of late. They lack substance. Right now only Naughty Dog can pull that off pretty much.
Definitely not worth the 60 bucks on day 1 I wasted on it.

Re: Your Allies Will Determine Your Playstyle in PS5 Exclusive Rise of the Ronin

@Nepp67
But Jesus dude, can't you think for yourself as to how that translates to the rest of the game? It's lightweight in all aspects. It's more like Horizon than it is like RDR2.
One feels realistic, the other feels like a fake fantasy. Witcher 3 is also fantasy, but it feels real, because of how grounded it is. Just like the original LOTR films. The Hobbit films again felt light, clean, fake.
There needs to be some sort of realism to make it immersive.
Granted it's miles ahead of Assassins Creed games and yes it's a nitpick, jeez. But it's a preference I find important and it's lacking even more in this game apparently. I'll get it anyway though

But that doesn't change the fact that it is though...

@Pepsiman_100 @Nepp67
Not saying it wasn't good, but jumping 3 feet in the air off your horse in full sprint isn't really grounded I'd say lol. You're not able to do that in RDR2 or even RDR1. Those are seriously amazing games that make you feel immersed.
Tsushima had a lot of copy/ paste elements and the wind gimmick felt tact on as well. Lots of tweaks that could make a sequel truly great, but I didn't fall in love with it, while I was absolutely BEGGING for an openworld realistic samurai game. Tsushima fell short and that's my opinion:)

Who gives a crap who you kill. It's ballsy. It's unique.
People are such buutthurt fanboys, it's pathetic.
I would've loved killing DC heroes as the SS if the game was a good single player game, but it's live service crap.
The story premise is the least of its problems

Re: Your Allies Will Determine Your Playstyle in PS5 Exclusive Rise of the Ronin

I'm grateful for another Samurai game, but I'm still a bit torn that it's so arcady.
One dude in the video talks about not wanting the fighting to be unrealistic with the player flying around and the clip literally shows the exact opposite.
It's just grounded. What's so hard about stripping all this over the top crap, making the combat pack a punch and making it all feel ground like games like TLOU or RDR2?
Tsushima was also disappointing arcady/ Assassin's Creed type game.

I'll get it anyway, I love samurai and it'll be fun and all, but that's always my gripe with these games.

Hey I'm the biggest Spidey fan, but these games are nowhere near Arkham quality.
Same with DBZ games, I'm just disappointed they never meet their potential and never have any substance.
It's way better than all the crap Activision gave us after Spiderman 2 PS2 tho, but it's a speck of dust on BG3.
Very telling how Insomniac devs were crying their eyes out and criticising BG3 for... being too good... "just like Rockstar games"...

Yeah nah.
This seems like such a redditor comment on that site when someone posts something about a major problem they're having with one of the big anti consumer corporation.
The replies are always like "UuUh aKShuALLyy, that's a YOU problem, because I'm not having any problems at all durr".

I'm waiting for this game to come out on disc. It'll probably release along with its DLC
