Resident Evil 4's Remake Tops 7 Million Sales Milestone 1

Resident Evil 4’s remake has been a humongous success for Capcom, with sales now topping seven million units since the title’s launch a year ago. At last count, the outing had sold 6.48 million units as of 31st December, so it’s moved another 500,000 copies since then. It did launch on Mac, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPad late last year, too.

Speaking of the remake’s success in a financial report, the Japanese publisher said: “Capcom supported steady sales growth of the title with the release of the Separate Ways additional downloadable content, as well as with Resident Evil 4 VR mode free downloadable content for PSVR2 last year; in addition to these, Capcom also released Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition on 9th February, which includes the main game, the Separate Ways downloadable content, and the richly assorted downloadable content Extra Pack set.”

We awarded Resident Evil 4 a 10/10 in our PS5 review, and ranked it third in our Game of the Year countdown at the end of 2023.
