Re: Why Is Dreams Taking So Long to Release?

SMKpaladin

At this point, I think of Dreams as a wasted project generation-wise. If this takes until late 2019 and the PS5 may arrive at the end of 2019 or more likely in 2020, this should either be a PS5 launch title or at least cross-gen. Otherwise, it will be forgotten within less than a year after launch.

Re: Review: Shadows: Awakening (PS4)

I pre-ordered this game to sate my hunger for more Diablo and up until now, I'm having a lot of fun.

There are a few things that seem odd to me, though:
All the in-game descriptions and loading screen tips seem to lack the word "the". You enter Shadowrealm, not the Shadowrealm. You play as Devourer, not the Devourer and so on.

The other thing I'm not quite sure about are the mini-bosses. Not only that they're all the same and also only have two AoE attacks, they don't seem to take any damage and instantly regen health. It's stupid button mashing until they eventually die.

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man DLC The City That Never Sleeps Detailed Ahead of Release on PS4

@get2sammyb Now I'm very confused. I pre-ordered Marvel’s Spider-Man Digital Deluxe Edition which includes The City That Never Sleeps, for €79,99. That is only 10€ more compared to the Standard Version (€69,99).

Digital Deluxe Edition Includes:

  • Full Game
  • Three chapters in Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City that Never Sleeps series* – Available post launch, each chapter contains:
  • Additional missions
  • Additional characters from the Spider-Man universe
  • Additional suits for Spider-Man
  • If pre-ordered before September 7, 2018, receive all Pre-Order Bonus Content + a custom, one of a kind physical pin** for Marvel’s Spider-Man

*Users will receive DLC by March 2019.
**Only available to US and Canada customers

Description copied from the US Store, because you surely wouldn't understand the German text.

Do they really think all these reveals will help them survive better against Spider-Man?
If that's the reason they're thinking SotTR has nothing to fear from Spidy, then, by all means, they already overdid it.

I will buy this game sooner or later, but with all the reveals over the last weeks, I feel I already finished the game twice. But maybe it's just me playing Rise of the Tomb Raider over last weeks

Re: Hands On: Marvel's Spider-Man on PS4 Is Shaping Up to Be the Best Spider-Man Game Ever

SMKpaladin

@get2sammyb How'd you describe the Peter Park parts of the game compared to the web-slinging parts? Are these fun and entertaining enough on their own or are they more like the Desmond Miles parts in the old AC games?

I really hated being pulled out of the Animus only to be forced to play some Desmond story snippets.
My concern is, that I'd rather have my fun with Spider-Man and not want to be forced to play boring story parts as Peter Parker or MJ.

I enjoyed the beta, played it until I hit lvl 25. During these two days, I had some good fun with the game/beta.
But I'm not going to pay that much for an arcade racer, that I may very well lose all interest in, after a couple of days.

My only concern is, that the servers may be deserted at the time the price drops. This could be one of those buy-at-release-or-don't-buy-at-all decisions.
