I agree that GWG is basically crap. Essential beats it every month.
But Game Pass only good for indies? Game Pass gets several AA and AAA non-in house games on release as well.
A Plague Tale: Requiem and Wo Long are two recent examples of very nice games on day 1 on game pass. For both Series S/X and PC. And yeah. There are some really nice indie gems there as well to be frank. Basically Game Pass gets all the PS Extra games, only sooner, plus a lot more. The big exception ofc is Sonys games. We all love those obviously!
But yeah. Game Pass value only rises considering it’s both PC and console.
You don’t play the story over and over in Diablo Games. You either play adventure mode with the same character for ages. Or you play seasons (the most fun imo) combined with adventure mode.
I agree in that I don’t think many players play the story on repeat. But the story is only a small part of Diablo for me. I play it once. Then it’s all seasons and the goodies that come with each season!
@nomither6 Sigh.. We can STILL play tons of single player games OFFLINE with physical discs. So unless you ONLY play online dependent games, then this scenario (which happens a bit too often tbh) mostly affects digital only users. And is a clear reminder that being “only digital” has some clearly irritating drawbacks….
Personally I own tons of games on both physical and digital. I love the simplicity and how convenient digital is, but hate scenarios like this.
With physical I love how much cheaper I can buy the games and that I can resell them.

The two most recent games mentioned there were already signed for release before the studios were bought. Wasn’t Minecraft also already on Sony consoles before MS bought Mojang?
MLB and Death Stranding are completely different cases.. A bit baffling to be honest. Feels sloppy of Sony. But good for all gamers ofc!

These days barely anyone uses a mic. And if they do (and are annoying), you can mute them fast, takes 1-2 secs.
I’m 40 myself and do play a lot of BO: Cold War. Only a handful are annoying (like all the idiots sitting there literally singing out loud, and sounding horrible). But muting is so fast and smooth. Probably the fastest muting in a MP game so far.
What? You say that it’s better to buy a Series S or build your own PC, than buying a Deck?
You DO know that the Steam Deck is a portable, right? You’re comparing apples to oranges. If you want a portable, you won’t buy a series S or build your own PC instead.
It’s clear that you don’t understand who would want something like this. But I think it’s pretty obvious that it’s for people who want a real portable PC in a Switch size factor. The integration with Steam is its other big strength, obviously.
Also, an official dock will be released (or you could use any USB-C generic dock). Making it possible to connect the Deck to a TV, or a computer screen. And connecting wired (and wireless through BT) peripherals like mouse and keyboard, or a controller, etc.

It’s not even remotely close.
Extra isn’t either. But. I do like the way Extra is going. It’s good! Game Pass is still king though. Especially if you happen to game on PC as well.
