@MFTWrecks Yeah. I get why it's not there, because driving a car is literally travelling fast, but sometimes you do just want to hop from race to race. Without fast travel, you might need to spend five minutes or whatever driving to one of the spots, and you might be chased by the police on the way, so it can go pear-shaped. I suppose it's all part of the risk/reward.

It's not a deal breaker though, and I'd still encourage anyone to try it, as it's a lot of fun. Hopefully they patch it in, like you said.

@Smash41 It's a real shame. I think the game is fantastic, but the world of multiplayer and live service is absolutely brutal. You either make it big or you're out.

@KidBoruto Haha, I don't have the platinum. It wasn't really an aim of mine to get it. I've seen and done most of what the game has to offer, put in about 18 hours, and have 23 of 39 Trophies. Again — they weren't really a focus at all.

@Flippygruffle It's a fine game but when you zoom out, it doesn't add a huge amount to the overall story, certainly nothing pertinent to the Norse era games.

It's fine. It's free to join, and you get some points back for purchases which, as the article points out, is more than we were getting before. The collectibles are kinda whatever, but it's a neat idea. I dunno. It could be better, but it's not exactly doing any harm.

@themightyant That's right, yeah. It's partially government funded and Ubisoft is obligated to put the game out. If this wasn't the case I think the game might've been cancelled a while ago.

Lots of good ones to choose from but my biggest surprise has to be Pacific Drive. Really interested in that one.

The fact we've had two solid SoPs in a row gives me some hope that Sony has hit its stride with these now. It's taken a while for them to figure it out but I think the last couple they've shown have been spot on, so fingers crossed they can keep it up

@lindos As far as I understand it, this has no bearing on the performance of games at all. It's just another video output option for those using a 1440p monitor. As @Voltan says, instead of the game being displayed at 1080p and then upscaled, you get a nice crisp image.

This sort of tech talk isn't really my area, though!

@AFCC If you use a display running at 1440p resolution, the PS5 now supports that natively.

@clvr They're both popular and targeting a similar audience, one has a game coming out soon and the other is just starting its latest series. It's an odd mash-up but I can see the logic from both sides.
