Re: Battlefield 6 Is a Smash Hit in First Sales Report, Selling Best on PS5

PrettyPawsome

@JohnnyShoulder Same, really enjoying it. I've seen a lot of complaints about it, but then from some of the players I've seen..."skill issue" comes to mind, people running in dead straight predictable lines right out in the open...and then throwing a hissy fit over getting shot from nowhere 😂, the usual stuff. Been accused of camping for waiting in one place for about 20 seconds because I knew there were a couple of guys behind a wall...only to see the same players who seemingly have ants in their pants and can't even humour the idea of patience, getting gunned down by the enemy who weren't even well hidden, love it.

Granted the last one I played and really enjoyed was Battlefield 1, loved all the old ones back in the day though and would love a modern Battlefield Vietnam, that was my fave!

Re: Battlefield 6 PS5 Physical Copies Break Street Date, Full Game on Disc

PrettyPawsome

@DennisReynolds I'm normally all about preservation and physical copies of games etc, but you are spot on, Battlefield has always been about the online multiplayer first and foremost... the campaign modes always felt like tacked on "training modes" for people new to the game to practice with before going online.

I have a good feeling about this one, I'm optimistic! 🥳

Re: Silent Hill F Is Another Game That Stumbles on PS5 Pro

PrettyPawsome

@OldGamer999 the worst thing is, with games always releasing with issues or bugs that need patching out...it harms those who buy physical releases to those who buy them with the idea of preservation in mind... because on that disc, as with many other modern games, is a broken buggy version of whatever game more often than not.

I miss the days when games were finished, playtested thoroughly to make sure everything works (instead of releasing a beta for people 2 weeks before a games release anyway, by then discs are printed)

I miss complete, functioning games.

Rant over, I'll shut up now 😂

Re: First Resident Evil Requiem Gameplay Revealed in Dev Deep Dive

PrettyPawsome

@PuppetMaster Same, Looking forward to this...but the moment Leon was mentioned, my interest faltered a bit. Roundhouse kicking zombies and wrestling moves does not give me the feeling of horror.

I'll never forget the Resi Evil 6 gameplay trailer way back, the guy saying "for the old school horror fans, Leon's campaign has you covered"...and then next thing you know, Leon's going streets of rage on the zombies...

I really hope they just stick with Grace, and actually focus on outright horror for a change instead of Leon Balboa and Chris "The Boulder" Redfield...but deep down I know Leon will be in it, here's hoping the game turns out good at least.

While we're at it Capcom, you should go back and remake Resi Evil 3 properly instead of whatever that half baked mess was before (and a new Powerstone)

Yes I'm bitter!

Re: Random: Hideo Kojima Gave His Studio a USB Stick with All His Ideas on It

PrettyPawsome

@Zazu pretty cool idea...but to add even more to it, if it's been long enough, I'd probably feel like I was going mad, looking for an ability I swear I had, but it's been months...did I have it?...hmm, maybe I didn't 😂 I'd have to start writing down what stuff I had in game so I know it's the game messing with me and not my memory going nuts lol.

Re: Killzone Remasters Would Be Cool, Says Series Composer, and We Completely Agree

PrettyPawsome

@Northern_munkey Aye, would love a new Syphon Filter or a remake of the old ones, anything...even for them to just acknowledge it's existence at this point.

Reminds me of Capcom and Power Stone.

"Hey, do we want some easy money and good sales?"

"Nah". proceeds to remaster a remaster of a remake of a remastered remake that came out 4 weeks prior

I'm not bitter in the slightest 🙂

Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on Bloodborne, 10 Years Later?

PrettyPawsome

Enjoyed it and played through it to completion once, but always preferred Dark Souls 1 and 3 the most out of all their games.

Id love a smooth 60fps...it doesn't need anything more than that, art style and general atmosphere still hold up very well. Always reminded me of Nightmare Creatures!

Time to install Dark Souls 3 again, that's the one I always end up returning to the most for some reason.

Re: Rumour: PlayStation Is Working on Reviving Some of Its 'Deep Cut' Franchises

PrettyPawsome

@GymratAmarillo Can't speak for others but I was one of those who DID put the money down for many of those, gotten very bored of a lot of modern offerings and am more than happy to enjoy a good remake or remaster if it's justified

Now, I'm just patiently awaiting news of the most important one of all though ... Syphon Filter! There was just something about it that put it way ahead of Metal Gear Solid for me back then, probably the fact that the enemies in SP could see you from a distance whereas MGS had the 4ft cone vision which made the game an absolute cake walk to complete, but SP was a bit more challenging, always felt it deserved more than it got.

Re: More People Are Playing the Original Horizon Zero Dawn Than Its Remaster on PC

PrettyPawsome

@EfYI terrible idea, people will always pirate games on PC, and by adding in extra checks and steps and this and that...end result is you just annoy people that bought your game genuinely...whilst pirates STILL find workarounds. Those pirates were never going to buy the game in the first place so it's not even lost sales. Stuff like this oftens impacts a games performance whilst running too, so more negatives for legitimate buyers.

If a game is good people that want to buy it will buy it, some even pirate games and go on to buy them if they enjoyed them to support the Devs.
Not all pc gamers, or even pirates are whiney crybabies.
What's not helping is stuff like removing the original from purchase, and Sony's love for forcing PC users to use a PSN, despite all the backlash.

Re: PS5 Pro Packaging Flaunts Its Disc-Free Nature

PrettyPawsome

@1UP-HUSKY I wouldn't be so sure, I'm an absolute physical media hoarder, oddly the only one out of my group of friends, but recently, pretty much all have shown regret at not buying physical as many of them live on streaming services and too often, have gone to watch something only to find it's been taken off, with similar stuff happening in gaming (old games being removed and outright replaced with remasters/games outright removed from your library/games having content adjusted via patches etc with you having no choice in the matter)...I would like to think that more people are coming around to the idea that physical is, was, and always has been better.

They keep trying to kill off physical media, but there will always be a market for it... hopefully gaming doesn't go digital only, I already hate that PC is pretty much digital only, and if you DO buy a physical PC game, often it's a pathetic cardboard circle with a code stamped on it.

Re: God of War Ragnarok PC Mod Removes PSN Login Requirement

PrettyPawsome

@GADG3Tx87 well I guess my proof is as good as yours, I say it happened and still does, you say you follow gaming and that you never saw any outrage. Not really sure how you want me to prove something like that, but I remember it vividly, and I trust my memory as I still remember the theme music to Sensitive on the C64 😂 (showing my age!) When these launchers and accounts were initially coming out, there were a lot of people annoyed each time, no different than now, proof would be on long forgotten videogame forums back in the day. I don't know how you can say you follow gaming, but have never heard any PC gamers kicking up a fuss over rock stars social hub thing, or Uplay being needed for games on steam etc, or the whole issue with EA and origin, if anything that was the bigger pushback of the lot back then, you would need to have had your eyes closed and ears shut to have missed that.

The difference is that this time, it's aimed at Sony, a company that has had security breaches in the past, and many PC gamers don't see why PSN is needed for it, hence the outrage, where people are being more vocal, which is why this time seems bigger and louder, but there was always complaints about any new launchers and accounts from people on PC, not necessarily as vocal, but they did happen.

Re: God of War Ragnarok PC Mod Removes PSN Login Requirement

PrettyPawsome

@GADG3Tx87 "I never heard any complaints against other publishers requiring an account. WB, Ubisoft, EA, Microsoft, Steam, Rockstar and so many others yet when Sony asks it's like the apocalypse."

There were complaints each time another launcher or company required an account, especially when it came to Rockstar, and even EA with Origin as they also removed their games from steam completely, before going back on that a while later. Just because you weren't aware of them, doesn't mean people didn't kick up a huge fuss at the time...they did. People still complain about them even now, it's just not as vocal as back then when they came out.

Re: God of War Ragnarok PC Mod Removes PSN Login Requirement

PrettyPawsome

@Kienda My bad, I read it wrong but yes, I agree.
I blame my unhealthy lack of sleep between work and clawing back some "me time" until 6am-ish, my ability to read takes a bit of a hit lol.

@Deityjester I'm still waiting for the Dreamcast 2 with Power Stone 3 as a release game!... any day now ._.

Re: God of War Ragnarok PC Mod Removes PSN Login Requirement

PrettyPawsome

@Sanquine Yes I do, please show me where I said it was an issue for me.

I was on a about PC gamers in general, being a voice of reason and common sense for a group that often gets flak for being nothing but whinging pirates who moan about accounts, when we're not all like that, and many of us have valid reasons for and against etc.

Me personally, I have no issue, but as I've also said, nobody could find me even if I gave them my data on a silver platter, so it's even more of a non issue for me. Others however may have an issue giving their data to a company that has had a few security issues in the past and may not feel fine doing that, which is understandable.

Re: God of War Ragnarok PC Mod Removes PSN Login Requirement

PrettyPawsome

@Medic_alert I can see where you are coming from, even I have multiple accounts for other things, though I'm old school so I generally only create one when I have no choice, but I'm fortunate that even with my real name, anyone trying to find me will only find stuff about Mad Max 😂. I think the issue is where an account isn't really needed, something like a single player game, I'd imagine it's for trophy syncing or something I guess.
We also get generalized as pirates! I may have a dodgy leg and shuffle around like a drunken swashbuckler, but I actually identify as a cheapskate, mostly grab games on sale, unless it's something I really want to play day one, we're not all pirates on PC, not aimed at anyone, just throwing it out there.

Re: God of War Ragnarok PC Mod Removes PSN Login Requirement

PrettyPawsome

Fair play to them. No need for another account to sign up to, especially for a single player game. I think a lot of people here have PC gamers wrong...most are sick to death of having to have account after account after account after account. When it comes to steam, well, Steam was a requirement since WON died and HL2 required steam, a good 10-15 years of only needing the one account... until every company decided to set up their own store front and force more accounts on people. This mod removing the need for a PSN account shows the game runs fine without it, so why even force it in the first place? As for the "begging for Bloodborne" ... It would be nice to play such a great game at a solid stable frame rate without any drops, THAT is why PC players want it, to have it run without slowdown and to enjoy it how it was meant to be enjoyed, well that's why I would like it on PC anyway, and I'm far from alone in that mindset.

Re: Concord Dev Could Close After Director of PS5, PC Disaster Steps Down

PrettyPawsome

@ATaco Aye, art design as well as the characters are some of the most important things in a game like this, so you have to make an impact, because you only get one first impression.

Here's hoping the Devs land on their feet at least, and find works elsewhere when the inevitable happens...art team should probably lay low for a few years and maybe get new identity though.

As others have said, not sure why Sony doesn't focus on a lot more smaller games with smaller budgets, they are sat on a mountain of stuff they could draw from or revive, but instead, everything has to be a AAA mega blockbuster hit that costs the earth to make!

Anything but remasters! (except for those that could actually benefit from it etc)

Re: Sony Boss Says 'PCs Are Difficult to Set Up', Firm Will Focus on PS5

PrettyPawsome

Difficult to set up? Heard it all now, it's never been simpler to do than it is these days, even building them is like Lego.
If something is "difficult" to set up... perhaps...crazy idea, but, learn?
I'm not a mechanic, but I rebuild motorcycles and engines for fun, because I learned. I don't get why people think sorting out a PC is rocket science when it's dead simple. If young teenage me could do it back in the days of windows 98, anyone can do it...best way to learn is to just have a go, do a bit of reading about parts etc, and build!

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Star Wars Outlaws?

PrettyPawsome

Still making my mind up, it certainly has it's moments but then those moments get ruined when suddenly falling through the floor, which has only happened to me once so far, but still lost some progress. The graphics and general atmosphere are pretty good whilst being a bit patchy in some places, the stealth is pretty basic but then very few games do stealth decently (I miss splinter cell). If I had to give it a score so far, probably looking at a 7 at most, could use some polish. Having more fun with Alien Isolation at the moment if I'm honest and will probably come back to outlaws once I finish that again first, by then I imagine a few bug fixes will have solved a few gripes. Granted, I enjoy Star Wars, but mostly the original trilogy, not a hardcore fan or anything. I'd imagine if you were a big star wars fan, this game would be an 8.5 for you. What I would kill for would be another Rogue Squadron! That game single handedly tricked me into buying a GameCube back in the day alongside REmake.

Re: Not Much Space for Dino Crisis After Monster Hunter Success, Creator Says

PrettyPawsome

@kyleforrester87 I must admit, I don't know how well Dino Crisis sold when compared to something like Resident Evil, I just remember enjoying the first and having an absolute blast with DC 2, great fun game. You're right though, running out of things to remake...I'm hoping that they remember some of the old IP's they're sat on... because even more than Dino Crisis...where the bloody hell is Powerstone Capcom!?

Still patiently waiting since the Dreamcast...but I'm starting to think they forgot Powerstone even exists at this point 😖

Re: Not Much Space for Dino Crisis After Monster Hunter Success, Creator Says

PrettyPawsome

@kyleforrester87 didn't Capcom themselves put out a survey a while back asking what game people would like to see return...and Dino Crisis was right at the top? I'd imagine it's a bit more than a vocal minority, many people have fond memories of those games as we grew up playing them alongside other classics back then, until they just stopped after the trash that was DC3.

Not sure why he thinks that there is no room because MonHun, the games are nothing alike, he seems a little out of touch in my opinion, there's room for both.

Me personally, I'd much rather have a new Dino Crisis, heck even just a release of 1 and 2 touched up a bit, over any more MonHun, but that's just me.

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Reveal Trailer Is Already the Most Disliked in Series History

PrettyPawsome

@mvhess Oh don't worry, there's always going to be a few loud voices with ill intent shouting loudly in their videos etc, my issue was that people who do have other issues are being lumped in with those people and then any points that get made just get drowned out by everyone shouting "racists!" etc, but yeah, this is and always will be the case...as a Mad Max fan, I see the same stuff with Furiosa, it's apparently woke because female lead, even though the series has always had decent female characters... just the way things are I guess.

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Reveal Trailer Is Already the Most Disliked in Series History

PrettyPawsome

@mvhess I guess all I can say to you is that yes, I did read every comment, I don't comment in threads without reading them first, all the way through, might have missed the odd comment here or there but I'm running on fumes here.

Read what me and @Callmegil have been posting and you'll see what we're discussing and one of the decent points being made, because they nailed itt... perhaps you should read before commenting or making assumptions on me? To add on, when it comes to games with an anime aesthetic, well that's the art style, most characters in animes rarely look like where they are from, this goes for a lot of the games you mentioned but in the case of AC, they're going for a realistic look, which is why it makes sense here, moreso than in something with a completely different art style.
