Would much prefer FH4. FH5 is alright but definitely the lesser game. Especially where DLC is concerned.

This would be awesome to have on PS5, as the Crew one which copied Horizon's homework just isn't nearly as good IMO.

I have Gamepass though so not sure I'd shell out retail price to play it again. Gamepass on PlayStation when, Microsoft? Could do with a reason to flog my Series S...

I got FH4 Ultimate on Steam for £16 with all DLC before it gets taken off in December from all digital stores. I have played 5 through Gamepass but 4 is so much better being in England

It's great game and I'm sorry I think Microsoft are doing the right thing now because the industry is changing a lot, Sony should look at it the same a well maybe games that have maybe passed 2 years or something that are not maybe bringing in that cash. I still think Helldivers 2 should go to Xbox whether if it's on PC or not, but I generally think Arrowhead can't and won't be able to handle the demand

Also, this is probably the only released game im interested in from Xbox, i’m not really interested in Halo or Gears. For upcoming games, Fable looks intriguing, I’ve never played a game in the series.

It's really not a very good game. It hands you hypercars after an hour or two. Then you're unlocking new pants for your driver. The "story" and dialogue is peak cringe.

Much worse though is the handling - it's an arcade racer, yet the cars have a turning cycle akin to the Titanic. So it lacks the precision of a SIM/simcade game, but also the snappiness of a proper arcade racer.

Meh.

I love the Horizon games, and have FH 2, 3, 4 and 5 on my xbox. FH4 the best by far for me, but FH5 is great. Not sure I'd double dip on PS5, but it's a superb game series

@Member_the_game which is weird because PC gamers already get better performance and fidelity out of Xbox games than those 3 console gamers do.

I loved the first Forza Horizon so I'd get this if it was ported.

Although I love the series, I will probably pass on this. Going by what has happened to previous outings, delisting them and making them unplayable isn’t really how I want to play my games.

It's a really fun game, just not as good as FH4 and I probably wouldn't play it again

Definitely interested in a racer like this. Gran turisimo is good but this looks more my cup of tea. Burnout 3 takedown sequel even better.

I tried it on game pass and I honestly I couldn't stand it at all. It grated way more than The Crew 2, but The Crew 2 had Stunt Planes, Off Road, Street Racing, Drag Racing, Formula/Open Wheel Cars, Touring Cars, Destruction Derbys and Drifting to keep it a bit more interesting, and I feel like the map was actually way more fun to explore 😱

I think it will sell well, though. People that like Fifa and CoD usually also like cars

It's the one I've been waiting for. Well, this and Senua 2. Hope both are on ps5 soon.

Nope. Had my fill of brodude racers in previous FH games. Id much rather see Gears of war hit the PS5.

@get2sammyb fair. I know a lot of people rate it quite a bit. For me it was something about the handling model that just didn't quite click, and it didn't feel as generous with its rewards.

If it came out 6 months ago would you have played it on a regular PS5 or would the lack of VR have stopped you in that instance?

@Enigk why would I want to play a lesser experience? GT7 gave us a Pro patch and PSVR2 support.

I’m allowed to have preferences to my games, if you don’t like it, that’s a you problem.

Let’s do a Horizon trade: give us Forza Horizon 5, and we’ll give them Horizon Zero Dawn!

Incoming wave 2 of the Xbox ports. FH5 makes sense and will probably do well. It's the polar opposite of GT. It was too similar to FH3 for my tastes. But the Playstation crowd would gobble it up.

If I really wanted to play Forza I'd buy an Xbox. I'm quite happy with GT 7 on my ps5 pro.

@Nakatomi_Uk I'm always baffled why would they take away digital games probably licenses I guess? For me it shows that digital is not to preserve games but control how long they can stay around.

@themightyant It still makes digital not a good thing to preserve games but just to control the consumer. I can still most physical games. If it digital only lots are lost media.

@Flaming_Kaiser digital is all about control. It’s easier control via censorship and what is listed. And this just isn’t for gaming either. The problem with these digital racing games that MS delists is because they don’t want to renew the licenses towards car companies past a certain date. With physical media it will always be there.

I wonder if MS will actually put the games on the PS5 Blu-ray Disc which Sony uses the latest for unlike Xbox. As of late 1st party MS studios only put a CD key on the disc. Which makes one still beholden to a remote server which is complete rubbish. Internet of everything is rubbish IMHO.

The only problem with porting FH5 over to the PS5 is that Sony may as well shut down Polyphony and Gran Turismo.

I still play PS4 games on my PS5 and will do the same on the PS6 if Sony let me. Too many good games locked to previous gens to miss out because they aren't up to current standards. Just my opinion of course.

Personally I prefer the crew motorfest bit no denying horizon 5 is a great game

@Enigk nope, I still play PS4 games and unpatched games. But if Microsoft is going to try to entice PS gamers onto their ecosystem, they should implement as many features that PlayStation offers, including PSVR2 and Pro patches.

This series is the only Xbox exclusive I absolutely love. I’ve put 100’s of hours into the franchise. It’s a shame we won’t get Horizon 3. For me, that was the pinnacle of the franchise. 4 was amazing too and while 5 is brilliant, it definitely lacks 3 and 4’s charm.

Still, I’ll buy 5 and go through it all again.

@Flaming_Kaiser I believe it has something to do with car manufacturers Ferrari or something. Apparently from what I've read licenses for certain games will run out even if they have a sequel aka FH5, it seems MS refuses to renew it for 4 but I think 4 has another 2 years left but MS are taking it down as they want you to buy 5.

I wonder if they will offline patch it when it does should do really as you can do the main games races without friends

@JustCameHereToSay If it does turn up I can't see PSVR2 support but can see them adding Pro support. That would ruffle a few feathers for those that get upset by such things though.

@Nakatomi_Uk when Forza is delisted all the features still work. I think they confirmed 4 will be supported “indefinitely” to work the same as it does right now. (They already made the Forzathon changes)

@Enigk Microsoft shouldn’t be concerned by that, there’s no need to restrict what it can be capable of because other gamers choose to limit themselves.

I'll double-dip of it has DualSense features or Pro Enhancement.

@JustCameHereToSay Microsoft probably will do it as they are less concerned with co soles these days and more with Game Pass. It's the people who will feel that their 100s of hours on the game on Xbox has been a waste of time as it is no longer the best version despite being the only console version at the time they played it.

Longtime Xbox exclusives like Forza and Halo appear to be imminently coming to PlayStation, but Starfield, a game that was originally going to come to PS5 is nowhere to be found. Very strange

Forza Horizon 4 is the better game by a pretty huge margin imo, and one of the best driving games of all time.

Still wild when I read these headlines about Xbox games migrating to PlayStation, especially these major tentpole releases. Only a matter of time before Halo, Gears, and the like make their way over.

I don't see the point in saying there's no red lines but then not bring the heavy hitters (Halo, Gears, Forza) soon after. So if FH5 wasn't going to appear, it would probably be because FH6 is coming soon and they want that to be the debut Forza game for PS5.

As for announcing FH5, I'd guess either the Game Awards or the Switch 2 reveal. Indiana Jones for PS5 made a big splash at Gamescom Opening Night Live and the Game Awards has way more viewers than that event. Alternatively, they may want to show they're properly supporting Switch 2 and the Switch 2 reveal would have way more viewers than the Game Awards.

@stBoa I’ve got a wheel and played for a bit with it. For me it just doesn’t feel right playing it on a wheel, I feel like I need that quick twitch reaction on a pad.

Just randomly cruising is fine, but races just don’t feel good to me.

Probably had it ready to launch on
ps5 then delayed it to add ps5 pro features.

I played this on PC. It was fun, but I must admit that The Crew Motorfest is better. The handling is better, the variety is better. And I'm not generally into Ubisoft games. But credit where credit is due.

Europe is so bland and overused in games. @MrPeanutbutterz it's not made for people with short attention spans. Not everything is about grinding to the faster car. Forza is about being a collector and playing many events with different speeds.
