As sad as it may be, this is a sign of the state of the AAA gaming industry in general. Games take longer and more money to make and studios are taking less and less risks.

That's great news! I do use a Dualsense for PC gaming even though I don't have a PS5 yet. Especially surprising to see this coming officially from Sony.

I Can't say I love the design, but it's nice to see those 4 lost colors from previous generations on a next-gen machine. Still bummed they ditched those..

Seems like a feature that would have most significance specifically at launch if anything, so it's just baffling to me. I'm not even suggesting it's a shady move designed to attract more PS Plus members, it just seems lazy and inconsiderate.

That doesn't sound like a very good reason to artificially extend loading times. Wouldn't it be better to simply load it all up as quickly as possible and then have the player press a button when they are ready to continue playing/have finished reading the tip?
Not that I have any complaints about the game's loading times anyway, but that's just a weird argument to make.

I still think it looks absolutely terrible, but I guess what really matters is what's inside.

Truly a genius game and hopefully a great port.

That's true, of course, but unfortunately that just seems like part of a bigger problem with the gaming industry of today. These stylistic changes to the game's characters seem to be specific to the Tekken series, at least in the realm of fighting games.

Perhaps "slaughter" is a bit much, but her outfit , along with her acting like a kawaii city girl...just doesn't seem like the same chatacter to me.

Oh my, what have they done to her...
I have no problem with the devs adding new characters to appeal to different demographics, but why slaughter the personality of old solid characters? At least gameplaywise she still seems great.

This kind of stuff happens way to often these days..

Not terribly, but the battle theme in particular can turn you mad after a while, especially if you're playing without the orchestral soundtrack workaround. If you replace it tho, it's definitely one of the best gaming soundtracks out there! Of course most of it is taken from past games, but nevertheless..

So glad to see DQXI getting some more recognition, and 1st place too! After switching to the orchestral soundtrack I'd say it's my GOTY as well. Other than that, seems like I'll have to get into the Yakuza craze eventually...
