@RevGaming
Yes. Sony is still a Japanese company. It originated in Japan and is registered in Japan. Just the location of HQ does not change their nationality. Besides they moved only Playstation HQ to USA and not the parent company Sony's HQ. Its only purpose is that they want to stay closer to their primary gaming market. SE and Capcom are Japanese companies too so FTC has got nothing to do with them. FTC would have gotten involved IF Sony were buying Activision though because that is an American company.
Secondly, you cannot "convince" FTC to let them cripple the competitors. FTC wants a fair playing market for all businesses so that customers have options to switch to. If they make CoD exclusive to Xbox then customers lose that option and are forced to buy Xbox for the game that they have been playing elsewhere.
The bigger the revenue and size of a company the more scrutiny you invite from FTC. The purpose of FTC is to protect customers because monopolies, duopolies, and oligopolies lead to a decrease in the market competition which in turn leads to overpricing of products, exploitative business practices, and inferior products/services. All this just because people have no other option left to switch to.
You know FTC can even split and break up companies when they get too big. So no company is safe even after an acquisition is finalized. Microsoft was already investigated and fined by FTC back in late 1990s. FTC and Justice Department are already looking to rewrite guidelines and regulations for mergers and acquisitions to prevent such huge acquisitions in the future in the technology industry. So no FTC or Justice Department will not let it go if Microsoft turns back on their word and promise later.
@AyanamiReign Just believe it man. They have made it clear or FTC will block their acquisition. They cannot back down on their statement later either because then FTC will get involved again.
@RevGaming
Sony, Square, or Capcom are Japanese companies so why would FTC care about it if Sony acquires them?? American laws do not apply to what they do in Japan. Microsoft and Activision are both American companies so they need to comply with American laws.
Kindo of disappointed. Everybody was going on about it like it was supposedly some big-budget remake with the rumors about songs being recorded by an iirc Irish singer and SE working on it in secret big times. But it turns out to be just a remaster with a somewhat rearranged soundtrack and still running at 18 fps in a 4:3 screen ratio. I wish they remastered my beloved Xenogears too. T_T
@Richnj @TooBarFoo
Yeah, I can understand. It is really difficult for new players to get into the game mid-year. However, a new expansion launch is a great time to join. You get a new campaign to play and learn the ropes. Once you complete it, you can get into the endgame much more smoothly. As for the past story you can watch the "The story until now" video by either MyNameisByf or MyelinGames on YouTube. They are lore and story experts who release special story recap videos each year near the launch of a new expansion to help people make sense of the story and start with the latest plot arc.
@Envy I agree with you on that. Fanboyism is stupid and I don't want any side bashing and sabotaging the others. I would have bought all platforms as well if I could but I live in Pakistan where per capita income per month is $120. I earn barely $400 per month and have 3 kids. How can I possibly buy all platforms, pay for their subscriptions, buy games, and buy accessories with that much money? I am barely managing to own one console. I grew up with Playstation and JRPGs so I just stuck with it.
@Envy
Why are you so obsessed with what "Sony fanboys" say and do in every other comment of yours?? It seems you have taken it upon yourself to rid the internet of "fanboy cancer." This obsession and salt are what is truly unhealthy. Relax and enjoy your life in the real world instead of fighting a crusade online. I just noticed a pattern in the recent articles and I called it out. And I am not the only one either; several users have noticed it and pointed it out in their comments under several articles in the past few days including the current one.
Is PushSquare an anti-Sony/Playstation website in disguise? These guys keep putting a negative spin on every Playstation news somehow. I came to this website to get away from all the baseless doom and gloom and hate for Sony on other websites but it is kind of the same over here too. The pro-Xbox websites are much more positive and loyal towards their preferred brand and its management's actions, especially Spencer. They would praise Spencer even if he punched a baby and kicked some puppies. On other hand, over here Sony would get bashed even if they cured cancer and eliminated world poverty somehow.
@RBMango That is one of my biggest pet peeves with Destiny: the vaulting of existing content! I paid for that content and I should be able to access it whenever I want! Unfortunately, they have it mentioned in the terms and conditions that they can remove any content they want and we agree to it when buying the game so it is within their legal rights. My second major complaint with the game is the crazy amount of recycling and reskinning with weapon/armor models and enemy design.
@Ryguy2784
I agree with you on that. Live service games and MMOs often begin to feel like a chore and a job if you are not careful and get obsessed with all the dailies, weeklies and grinding. I am too on a break for the past few months until the release of Witch Queen.
@AFCC
It is a huge misconception among gamers that Destiny is a dead or flop game. It actually has millions of active players on a daily basis on all platforms even after 7 years. People have thousands of hours in the game. I have 4,000 hours in Destiny but people have up to 12,000 hours. You can find a match for any activity instantly including both PvE and PvP. The game has just amazing gameplay, graphics, soundtrack, story, and lore.
@RevGaming
No, no, no. That is not what archtype means. In Destiny there are archtypes within a single weapon class. For example, shotguns have four archetypes: aggressive frames, precision frames, lightweight frames, rapid-fire frames. Aggressive frames have a one-hit kill range of 8-10 meter max but have low handling stat which means they are slow to ready or stow. Precision frames have a 7-8.5 meter OHKO and have a naturally tighter pellet spread but low damage per pellet. Lightweight have around 7 meters but give you increased handling and mobility (strafe speed and jump) but you are less likely to one-shot an opponent. As a result, many combine it with a punch after firing a shot. Finally, rapid-fire shotguns fire full auto but often require two hit to kill. They are good for DPS during boss fights but not in PvP.
Similary, handcannons have three archtypes: aggressive frames, adaptive frames, and precision frames. Aggressive frames hit at 30-40 meters and fire at 120 rpm, great for team shooting and cleaning up weak opponents but high time to kill (TTK) value of 1.08 sec. Adaptive frames have 25-30 m range but fire faster and you can three tap a player within 0.75 seconds. The recoil pattern is a little tricky though. Finally, precision frames are the easiest to use with low recoil and high accuracy but shortest range. They require four shots to kill someone at 180 rpm and natural inair accuracy bonus. They are also less prone to bloom compared to the other two handcannon archtypes and you do not need to pace your shots as much. That is what archetype means. Do you see how much depth there is in just the above two weapon classes? Now imagine 20 more weapon classes like those each with 3-4 archtypes.
Nah bro, I am not over glorifying. You seriously need to play Destiny properly to understand why millions of gamers still play it on a daily basis. I have four thousand hours on it but other gamers have up to 12, 000 There is a reason people still play Destiny and the game has not died like so many other live service looter shooters. I am not saying those other games you mentioned are not good. They are amazing games but IMO Destiny has the best gunplay.
@RevGaming
As I said, you are entitled to your opinion. I have played all three CoD, Titanfall 2, and Doom Eternal. For me, there is no comparison between Destiny and all three of those games. I have over 4,000 hours (FOUR THOUSAND; no, that is not a typo) in Destiny 1 and 2 combined so I know the game inside out. Each gun has a unique personality and you stick with your favorite guns. If you switch to a new gun archetype or gun class then you need to learn it all over again including your recoil pattern, zoom magnification, shot pacing, engagement distance, map positioning, complementary loadout etc.
In other shooters, you just pew pew until something is dead without giving much thought to gun mechanics. In CoD or Titanfall guns have no recoil or bloom (I hope you know what that is) whatsoever. They shoot like a laser and you do not need to control it and pace your shots like in Destiny. The weapon range or accuracy don't mean much either in those games. In Destiny, you need to shoot a gun within its effective range. You cannot use a hand cannon or sidearm class weapon to shoot someone beyond a few meters (hand cannons 25-30 m and sidearms around 15m). You need scout rifles, pulse rifles, or snipers for that. Each weapon has 3 to 4 different archetypes and there are hundreds of weapons. We have whole Youtube channels around gun mechanics, god rolls, aiming techniques, map sense, advanced player movement, etc. A non-Destiny player cannot even begin to comprehend the depth of Destiny gunplay.
I think this acquisition is all about securing some FPS talent. They are not interested in making Destiny exclusive. This way they at least have an experienced team that knows about developing first-person shooters and they can give Playstation a new FPS IP.
@LiamCroft
Agreed. Even though I am a staunch Playstation fan and supporter, I do not support all this consolidation going on with publishers and developers being bought left and right. It benefits nobody. Developers lose their independence and customers lose their options to support whichever platform they want as third-party games become exclusive. At least Destiny will continue to be multiplat unlike what MS did with Starfield. However, I do understand why Sony needs to do it. Microsoft started it by buying two huge publishers and now it is a fight for survival for Sony. They need to secure talented devs and franchises so that they can stop their customers from leaving Playstation as Microsoft continues to steal one franchise after another.
@RevGaming If you cant list objective merits and criteria regarding how the games you listed have deeper gunplay then it is just your opinion and you are entitled to yours. Peace.
@Olmaz I can agree with that. It does seem a rather expensive acquisition considering they only make Destiny. I don't know if Bungie is a publically traded company because that way the share price determines how much Sony has to pay. However, if it is a private limited company then Sony needs to negotiate with the owner and decide a price.
@OmegaStriver Hell no. They are garbage. And I do not support buying whole publishers and making third party franchises exclusive regardless of who does it.
@Krysus
And what do you say about MS buying Bethesda and Activision instead of creating new blockbuster IPs on their own? Was that spineless and panic move too since they have been losing Playstation for the last 20 years and have been unable to create any new hit IPs since Halo, Forza, Gears?
@nomither6 I can understand that. The entry barrier for Destiny is VERY high. That is the biggest flaw with the franchise. Bungie removed the whole D2 campaign so new players have no idea what is going on.
@GMoney2432 It is about exclusives for Playstation and its fans but not about making established third-party franchises exclusive to Playstation by buying whole publishers. Sony has never done that.
@Sakisa No way bud. Each gun in Destiny has its archetypes, impact, recoil severity, recoil direction, firing rate, range fall off, accuracy cones, in air accuracy, hit scan vs projectile weapons, etc. etc. You really need to think about the guns and get used to them. What has Doom got out of those?
@GMoney2432 No problem. At least they are talented dev who can create new shooter IPs for Sony. Sony or its fans are not interested in stealing/locking established third-party franchises. They are only interested in acquiring talent that can create great games.
@nomither6 Bungie has been around for over 30 years founded in 1991. They created Halo that defines Xbox and Destiny has the best gunplay of any FPS. Infinity Ward was founded in 2002, 11 years later. CoD was extremely popular but the gunplay is nowhere near Destiny in terms of depth.
@Olmaz Actually $3.6 billion. That is $400 million less than $4 Billion. You cannot just round $400 million. lol It is nowhere near the $69 billion that MS spent to by Activision.
@Snake_V5
You can only buy a company that is willing to be bought. If SE or CAPCOM don't want to be bought then nobody can do anything about it. Bungie management was looking for a buyer for a while just like Activision so Sony bought them. It give them an experienced and talented shooter developer.
@nomither6 For Sony, it is not about stealing/locking established third-party IPs and franchises. It is about acquiring talent and Bungie is the most experienced and talented FPS dev out there. Destiny is still one of the most played shooters in the industry. Sony will probably use them to make new games or reboot existing shooter IPs like Resistance or Killzone.
Sony made a smart purchase at a small fraction of the money spent by Microsoft. Bungie is an extremely talented developer and Destiny 2 is a massive hit that still has millions of active players even after several years of launch. Destiny gunplay is the best in the FPS industry and they can create new IPs for Sony with that knowledge.
@ryanburnsred
Well, it depends upon how you look at things. When I bought a PS4, I got PS Plus with it because I wanted to play Destiny online. I did not care about the monthly games. So for me, I paid to play online and games are just a free bonus. I pay barely $3 a month for PS Plus and I get three games each month so I consider them a free bonus. The same goes for the PS Plus exclusive discounts.
This is most likely an unpopular opinion but I don't really like Uncharted. No offense meant to those who like it of course. I just find them monotonous and tedious with waves after waves of never-ending enemies. Perhaps, because I find the combat shallow with disposable guns with no personality or depth. My reaction to finding more enemies was always "Man, come on! Damnit! I just cleared the whole area! Where do these guys keep coming from?? How many thugs does the main villain even have!?"
@True_Jehuty
Just a friendly correction. The actual word is "piqued" and NOT "peeked" when using it to convey an increase in interest. Peeked means you looked quickly and piqued means your interest was aroused.
"When I press them on what they like about PlayStation, I usually just get, "I've always played on PlayStation".
I can give you the answer to that. I don't know why the people you met found it difficult to answer. The thing I like about Playstation is their focus on high-quality single-player exclusive games like Uncharted, TLoU, Gran Turismo, Horizon, Ratchet & Clank, etc. as well as third-party Japanese games, especially JRPGs. Xbox and Nintendo miss several JRPGs/Japanese games that are available on Playstation such as Persona 5, FF7 Remake, Forspoken, and previously, the Yakuza series. It lineup of games is more diverse than both Nintendo and Xbox. On the Xbox, I only see shooters and racers releasing all the time with very few story-driven single-player games. You see it is not about the brand but the games they offer in addition to the third-party games available everywhere.
@Rural-Bandit
The deal hasn't closed yet. Do you expect the revenue makeup to change within a week? Of course they are still third. The impact will be become clear when those publishers release games exclusively for Xbox.
It's not a monopoly yet but things are moving towards it. When you keep buying the biggest selling franchises in the industry, it will eventually become a monopoly. Do we need to wait until they buy Take Two, SE, Capcom, EA, and Sega too before we can call it a monopoly? Just for the sake of semantics or technicalities?
They are buying whole publishers made up of numerous studios for obscene amounts of money! Not one or two studios. It's unprecedented and makes life very difficult for Sony. They just bought the biggest moneymaker for Sony. How are they supposed to survive? Only by selling exclusives and jrpgs? There is a 20-25% that this deal will be blocked by DoJ and Activision asked for a $3 Billion in fee if they do, so MS and Activision know fully well that what they are doing is potentially illegal.
It is technically not a monopoly but it is effectively becoming a monopoly. None of the remaining gaming franchises are as big as Elder Scrolls, Fallout, or CoD except for GTA. And if they buy Take Two as well then what big money makers are left for Sony?
@twitchtvpat Agreed. Not to mention, the other company needs to agree to sell as well. You cannot just buy any company you want. Activision was doing bad and Bobby Kotick was looking to sell to get out before he was forced to resign or stock prices fell any further. He even approached Facebook and IIRC Amazon but they declined. In the end, he agreed to sell it to Microsoft because nobody else was interested. Microsoft paid him 46% more than the actual company's worth so he is golden and he can retire in peace. Whatever happens to CoD, Warcraft, Overwatch 2, or Diablo is now MS's headache since most of the employees left and the games got delayed indefinitely.
@Gelloh He probably thinks that he is saving the industry. You know like one of those egomaniacal villains who think that killing people is actually saving them from the miseries of life so he is doing a good act somehow. Lol
The TRILLIONAIRE tech giant that is monopolizing and destroying the industry is worried that other tech giants may destroy the industry. LOL! Man, that is just unbelievable. What is Microsoft if not a tech giant?? A mom-and-pop store!? Did he take a look in the mirror before giving this statement?? Have never seen a less self-aware and bigger hypocrite and liar in the industry.
@4kgk2
The game is near release and the marketing campaign is at its peak. That is why. What do you want Sony to do instead? Please enlighten us. I would definitely like to hear your business strategy to beat Microsoft's trillions of dollars.
@KundaliniRising333 Sony has consistently delivered some of the highest-rated and most celebrated games in the industry with several GOTY year contenders. They consistently give away over $1,000 worth of games on PS Plus each year. They put up games on sale more than any rival company and people can get 3 to 4 games for $60 during sales. Their consoles are always cutting edge and feature the latest technologies. They give their developers creative freedom and they create what they want. What more can a gamer want?
@teknium_
Business is business does not mean anything goes. Business needs to be conducted within legal boundaries. All businesses have the right to operate fairly and no business has the right to push any other business out of the industry by using money, business practices, or influence. Stealing the biggest moneymaker from the rival corporation by throwing money is not business; it is desperate, cheap, and underhanded. Business would have been if Xbox created better gaming IP and franchises than Sony and beat them fair and square.
It's business but it is still anti-competitive and unethical. If the DoJ looks into it then it may even turn out to be illegal. There is a 20-25% chance that this deal will be blocked because the industry is moving towards a monopoly. There are already rumblings that it will lead to an anti-trust investigation. Even Activision expect it and asked for a $3 Billion fee in case the deal is blocked.
The industry is moving towards a monopoly where gamers will be exploited by Microsoft once Sony loses most of the gaming franchises or gets pushed out of the industry. Xbox fans are only happy because their corporate overlord is doing it and they see it as some kind of personal victory. Sad to see people cheering a greedy, money-hatting, and monopolizing corporation. I would like to see these people gloat a few years down the road when they will be stuck in the Xbox ecosystem, paying through their noses for dumbed-down MTX/NFT infested games, and have no other options to switch to.
@S1ayeR74 Xbox 1 lost MS anywhere from $5-7 billion. Any other company would have gone bankrupt right there with that kind of loss. It was only due to Office/Windows that MS continued to march on and released 360. Even that console lost over $1 billion due to RRoD repair costs. Any other company would have gone bankrupt here too if they had to allot over $1 Billion for just warranty claims. Xbox One profitability is not clear because Microsoft began hiding sales and profit numbers. They just merged it all together with mobile gaming, hardware etc. so you can never find out if they made money on Xbox One. Still the only reason XBox is still here is because of Office and Windows money.

And what do you say about MS buying Bethesda and Activision instead of creating new blockbuster IPs on their own? Was that spineless and panic move too since they have been losing Playstation for the last 20 years and have been unable to create any new hit IPs since Halo, Forza, Gears?
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
@nomither6
I can understand that. The entry barrier for Destiny is VERY high. That is the biggest flaw with the franchise. Bungie removed the whole D2 campaign so new players have no idea what is going on.
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
@GMoney2432
It is about exclusives for Playstation and its fans but not about making established third-party franchises exclusive to Playstation by buying whole publishers. Sony has never done that.
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
@nomither6
They are great games too but Destiny gunplay is really deep. You need to play it to realize it.
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
@Sakisa
No way bud. Each gun in Destiny has its archetypes, impact, recoil severity, recoil direction, firing rate, range fall off, accuracy cones, in air accuracy, hit scan vs projectile weapons, etc. etc. You really need to think about the guns and get used to them. What has Doom got out of those?
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
@Sakisa
lol. Yeah, they are amazing too.
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
@GMoney2432
No problem. At least they are talented dev who can create new shooter IPs for Sony. Sony or its fans are not interested in stealing/locking established third-party franchises. They are only interested in acquiring talent that can create great games.
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
@nomither6
Bungie has been around for over 30 years founded in 1991. They created Halo that defines Xbox and Destiny has the best gunplay of any FPS. Infinity Ward was founded in 2002, 11 years later. CoD was extremely popular but the gunplay is nowhere near Destiny in terms of depth.
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
@Snake_V5
Nope. Bungie sold them the Halo IP when they left Microsoft.
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
@Olmaz
Actually $3.6 billion. That is $400 million less than $4 Billion. You cannot just round $400 million. lol It is nowhere near the $69 billion that MS spent to by Activision.
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
@Snake_V5
You can only buy a company that is willing to be bought. If SE or CAPCOM don't want to be bought then nobody can do anything about it. Bungie management was looking for a buyer for a while just like Activision so Sony bought them. It give them an experienced and talented shooter developer.
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
@nomither6
For Sony, it is not about stealing/locking established third-party IPs and franchises. It is about acquiring talent and Bungie is the most experienced and talented FPS dev out there. Destiny is still one of the most played shooters in the industry. Sony will probably use them to make new games or reboot existing shooter IPs like Resistance or Killzone.
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
Sony made a smart purchase at a small fraction of the money spent by Microsoft. Bungie is an extremely talented developer and Destiny 2 is a massive hit that still has millions of active players even after several years of launch. Destiny gunplay is the best in the FPS industry and they can create new IPs for Sony with that knowledge.

I immediately thought of where Kiryu used to play in Yakuza. Lol
Re: PS Plus Promotional Language Changes, Fuelling More Sony Subscription Rumours
@ryanburnsred
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection?
This is most likely an unpopular opinion but I don't really like Uncharted. No offense meant to those who like it of course. I just find them monotonous and tedious with waves after waves of never-ending enemies. Perhaps, because I find the combat shallow with disposable guns with no personality or depth. My reaction to finding more enemies was always "Man, come on! Damnit! I just cleared the whole area! Where do these guys keep coming from?? How many thugs does the main villain even have!?"
Re: Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Is So PS2 It Hurts
@True_Jehuty
Just a friendly correction. The actual word is "piqued" and NOT "peeked" when using it to convey an increase in interest. Peeked means you looked quickly and piqued means your interest was aroused.
Re: Analyst Expects PS5 to Seriously Outperform Xbox This Year
@GamingFan4Lyf

Thank you Uncle Phil for thinking of little old PlayStation and us PlayStation fans. /S He probably means Warzone.

Bud, you are polite even if you hold opposing views. Very mature and decent of you.
Re: Microsoft Bigwig 'Trusts' PlayStation Not to Damage Gaming Industry, Cautions Against Tech Giants
@Rural-Bandit
There is a 20-25% that this deal will be blocked by DoJ and Activision asked for a $3 Billion in fee if they do, so MS and Activision know fully well that what they are doing is potentially illegal.
https://www.nypost.com/2022/01/18/microsofts-69b-activision-blizzard-deal-sets-stage-for-antitrust-soap-opera/amp/
It is technically not a monopoly but it is effectively becoming a monopoly. None of the remaining gaming franchises are as big as Elder Scrolls, Fallout, or CoD except for GTA. And if they buy Take Two as well then what big money makers are left for Sony?
Re: Microsoft Bigwig 'Trusts' PlayStation Not to Damage Gaming Industry, Cautions Against Tech Giants
@twitchtvpat
Agreed.
Re: Microsoft Bigwig 'Trusts' PlayStation Not to Damage Gaming Industry, Cautions Against Tech Giants
@Gelloh
He probably thinks that he is saving the industry. You know like one of those egomaniacal villains who think that killing people is actually saving them from the miseries of life so he is doing a good act somehow. Lol
Re: Microsoft Bigwig 'Trusts' PlayStation Not to Damage Gaming Industry, Cautions Against Tech Giants
Re: Meet Horizon Forbidden West's Voice Cast, Including Carrie-Anne Moss
@4kgk2
The game is near release and the marketing campaign is at its peak. That is why. What do you want Sony to do instead? Please enlighten us. I would definitely like to hear your business strategy to beat Microsoft's trillions of dollars.
Re: Sony Stock Value Loses $20 Billion, But Will Likely Recover
@KundaliniRising333
Sony has consistently delivered some of the highest-rated and most celebrated games in the industry with several GOTY year contenders.
Re: Sony Stock Value Loses $20 Billion, But Will Likely Recover
@teknium_
Re: Sony Stock Value Loses $20 Billion, But Will Likely Recover
@Alduin
It's business but it is still anti-competitive and unethical. If the DoJ looks into it then it may even turn out to be illegal. There is a 20-25% chance that this deal will be blocked because the industry is moving towards a monopoly. There are already rumblings that it will lead to an anti-trust investigation. Even Activision expect it and asked for a $3 Billion fee in case the deal is blocked.
https://nypost.com/2022/01/18/microsofts-69b-activision-blizzard-deal-sets-stage-for-antitrust-soap-opera/
Re: Will Call of Duty and Other Activision Blizzard Games Come to PS5, PS4?
@S1ayeR74
Xbox 1 lost MS anywhere from $5-7 billion.
Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard
@HungryHungryHomer
That I can agree with. Activision is too big for Sony.
Re: Microsoft Buys Call of Duty Publisher Activision Blizzard
@HungryHungryHomer
Actually, they do. Do some research. SE has a market capitalization of just $5.6 Billion and Sony had $44 Billion in cash as of 2021. Sony's market cap is also $145 billion so SE is tiny compared to it. They can easily buy it if both parties agree to it.
