Re: PlayStation Expects Record Breaking Fiscal Year for PS5, Despite Economic Challenges

Oldstalk

And all of that is coming from third parties.

People on this website are really cute to think Sony is still gonna produce games that cost million of dollars and barely make a profit, when all they have to do is sell GTA, Fifa and some V-bucks to normies. That's why they are pushing the live service crap as much as possible, and will continue to do so no matter what, they want a bigger cut. That's also why they are ditching physical games : they do not make any sense with this new strategy. Solo games are dead.

Of course their stock is skyrocketting.

The decision to kill off physical was not made because "ohhhhhh our consumers prefer it this way" (what a bunch of hypocritical as*******). It's because their profit could be higher as a result.

Let's just hope this company fails miserably with its PS6, and good riddance.

Re: Poll: $1,000 and No Disc Drive - Is PS6 Dead on Arrival?

Oldstalk

At this point people, just get a damn PC.

If Sony fails as a console manufacturer (which would be great news for us, consumers), they will just end up porting everything to PC. Even though, there wont be much to port of course, as they are still actively trying to make the next Concord.

Let's hope this company fails miserably with the PS6.

Re: Reaction: PlayStation's Reputation Is at Rock Bottom - Where Do We Go from Here?

Oldstalk

I have no idea what Playstation brings to the table anymore

  • One exclusive game a year of variable quality ?
  • Paid online and terrible shop ?
  • Higher price on average for games ?
  • Being able to not play your games anymore once Sony decide they expired ?

The normies will sure continue to play this. That's why GTA VI wil sell huge numbers on PS5, despite going full digital. But the Sony of old is long gone now. What remains is a corpse too busy creating the next Concord.

Re: PlayStation Consoles to Stop Getting Disc-Based Physical Releases in 2028

The end of an era. That's quite astonishing.

I hope Nintendo will continue to publish all of its games on physical media. If not, that will definitely change the way I play. I'm not sure I will continue to play videogames, except for a few exceptions. Collecting those games is part of the charm. It's been there since the first video game console.
