Re: Sony Shakes Up Corporate Ladder by Promoting Exec Obsessed with Growth

Nancyboy

@EVIL-C Quite the contrary. This mindset and approach is designed to extract as much money from the workforce and user base as possible, maximizing shareholder payouts and executive bonuses before the inevitable low level firings when growth slows. The corporate myth of perpetual growth is calculated and very deliberate, as is the nonsense mantra that “Corporations exist to make money.”

They know exactly what they’re doing.

Re: Snazzy PS5 Trailer Encourages Upgrade from PS4

Nancyboy

Probably not. There aren’t enough 5 games that I don’t already have for the 4, or are exclusive to the 5 that would entice me in themselves. I can live with weaker hardware, and even Ratchet & Clank isn’t a $500.00 game for me. I’ll no doubt still think about it, but I’m not a performance wonk.

BC is a selling point, however.

Re: Game of the Year: Jamie's Top 5 PS5, PS4 Games of 2022

Nancyboy

I suck at hard games and find them frustrating rather than rewarding - lose to a boss 10+ times before beating it? No thanks. However, these descriptions of Elden Ring are nudging me to maybe give it a go.

Love the list based on personal connections and memories, by the way.

Gawd, weakness and agenda-grinding rear their revolting heads again, both by an aggrieved Developer and online commenters.

Now, as for Twitter, Elon is doing his best to destroy the platform, and I wish him all the success in that endeavor he so obviously deserves. Apart from the lost jobs, it'll be good riddance, though a short-lived reprieve at best. Human nature would find another way to express its less than savory inclinations soon enough.

Re: NHL 23 (PS5) – The Same as Last Year, with Small Changes

Nancyboy

@gbanas92 Late reply, sorry about that.

I didn’t preorder NHL 21 to get Rewind, as I don’t click with the way-complicated control schemes of the last several iterations. Just not smart or finger-quick enough. So I haven’t played it. I just saw that it appears to be available as a standalone on the PS store, however, and if I can confirm it’s playable by itself, I’m giving it a try.

Re: Best PS5 Exclusive Games

Nancyboy

Good lord. Who the h cares whether it’s PS5 ONLY? Are they good games that are available on a Sony system? Are any not on the PS5? Don’t upbraid the site for putting out a good list of games that you can play on the 5. Enjoy them and shut up already.
