I was writing something similar until I read this and decided to respond to yours. I have been saying similar things since the beginning. Even though I believe this game deserves to exist, a certain segment of the fandom has ruined my desire to own the game. I mean, I like a bit of fanservice, or at least I'm not offended by it, but the misogyny on display with this part of the fandom is beyond even the normal amount.
I also find myself curiously thrilled at the latest controversy surrounding 2 of the costumes being redesigned. I am not a fan of censorship, but watching these gamer bros go crazy is a wonderful catharsis.
That Star Wars Force Awakens reference on the sign though! 2015/16 before the franchise went sideways and we all still had New Hope for that galaxy far, far away. Halcyon Days!!
I have a feeling I may have been to dumb for Paradise Killer. I tried it on PS+ and did all sorts of investigating, talking, exploring, puzzling, and farting around but I figured NOTHING out...lol...very cool game though.

I know a guy who still plays GTA San Andreas every day after he gets off work. He says it's the only game he needs.
Sometimes a game hits like it's made just for you. You are who Bethesda updated this game for...have fun Vault Dweller!
I downloaded and played it on the weekend like a chump. Game is surprisingly nice looking at 60fps and the two-second load times are a revelation. But it's still a 10-year-old game; whatever it did 10 years ago is all it's doing now.
Instructions on how to get Fallout 4 PS5 version cheaply
Step One - Buy the game at launch 15 years ago. Step Two - Purchase all the DLC Step three - Wait 10 years and never sell/trade the game. Step four - Insert Disc Step Five - *********** Step Six - Profit.
I wasn't trying to be derogatory in any way to either site. These sites have their fans and the crossover is real. I observed that Xbox, as hard as they try, has an uphill battle for attracting JRPG enthusiasts.
I wasn't trying to point fingers or call anyone out. It's like any other fandom when the owner of an IP can sense the hunger for a continuous stream of content. I LOVE getting different and special editions with built-up content so I am absolutely part of the problem with so-called Developer Greed.
From what I have seen with the SMT/Persona community as a newly minted member, fans of this series stand in line with fists full of cash saying "YASS DADDY" as Atlus edges us (can I say that here) with DLC and rereleases.
@NEStalgia the term you used, grooming, is probably the most accurate word for this...lol...
When we have seen trailers for this game they have always been emblazoned with the Xbox logo and have not had any PlayStation branding. We do know, however, that it is not an Xbox exclusive. So I went over to PureXbox just to see what the buzz was over there about this game as it's being marketed by Microsoft (I guess). What did I find you ask, two articles with 16 total comments between the two of them? In contrast, this site has 10 articles with dozens of comments on each.
Don't know what to do with this info but I thought I would share.
I was about to write an essay about my love of Ubisoft open-world games and how I have fallen off them but then I decided to say this:
Less of them coming out yearly has freed up my time to play other things. Now I get what everyone was talking about when they would bash them. I have finally escaped from the Stockholm Syndrome that Ubisoft had placed on me.
That being said, I still hope these new AC games are good.
Yes, then no, then an EP, now the full thing. The Persona 3 Portable soundtrack and the dancing games have similar tunes but not the full remade songs on the P3R soundtrack.
I have decided to make this the year of Atlus. I had a detour with Fallout 76 for about 8 hours (mistake). Playtime this year includes Persona 3R with second playthrough for Plat, Soul Hackers 2, Persona 5 Royal, SMTVV, Persona 5 Stikers, Metaphor: Refantazio, and Persona 4 Golden (from Limited Run). I May pick up a copy of SMTIII on PS4. I have been trying to source out some 3DS games but I cannot abide paying those prices, hoping to find some yard sale deals. I get this is ambitious but, /shrug/ gonna give it the old hyper fixation and see what happens.
Its all good. I get heated sometimes and I was probably a little overzealous in my response. I will say that I have not played the first 2 so I cannot even judge that. I did however redownload Fallout 76 because of the show and guess what...It's crap. If Fallout 4 was a mess it was at least some sort of fun but 76 does not even have the fun left in it. Fallout 76 should be called, "Over-Encumbrance: The Search for Caps". Why tell me, in my menu, that a gun is worth 63 caps if I can only sell it for 3 caps which is 2 caps less than it costs to buy 1 bullet...??!?!??!?
They should take a page out of Stellar Blade's playbook and make all the female hobbits smexy. All the jank will just disappear in a cloud of jiggle effects and thick thighs.
I did play the demo. It seemed janky to me. Or at least I couldn't forgive the jank as much as some people seem to be able to.
Don't get me wrong, I think this game deserves to exist in its current presentation. But the way it's being lifted by some of the community and used as a pillar in their so-called "war on wokeness" is a shame
Again I must preface my comment by saying that a little bit of fan service in a game is always fun for the right games. TONS of games offer this with varying quality, Final Fantasy, Nier, Atelier series, and even Genshin/Honkai. So actually, there isn't a shortage of games with "smexy gyatt" in them.
But this game has been BLOWN out of proportion to what it is, a janky AA game. It would not have been in any conversation if this game had a "realistic" character model. I also feel that the wrong side of the fandom is using this game as a flag to wave in protest of perceived "wokeness" in games.
Sexyness in a game does not make average gameplay better, just as realism does not make great gameplay bad.
I can't wait for this game to come out so I can see that 99% of the people earned the trophy for starting the game and playing through the introduction and then the trophies fall off as fewer and fewer people decide to keep playing.
However, when Fallout is spoken about in broad circles, "real" Fallout IS Bethesda Fallout. What's the point of coming here and gatekeeping a franchise because of two entries from 25 years ago?
This is like saying Rockstar Grand Theft Auto or actual Grand Theft Auto.
I don't make a distinction because the vast majority of the world's population has no idea there is a difference and of the very few that do know most of them don't care.
So to answer your question. The Fallout that most gamers "actually" played and know.
Fallout 1 and 2 came out so long ago as to be considered like Dig Dug or Frogger. Something for grandpas to rave about while they say things like "back in my day" or "get off my lawn"
It's a racing game based on the Wacky Racers franchise but instead of driving your car you point and click on the track for movement and then roll dice to decide on the success of your overtaking or cornering.
EDIT: OMG I just discovered this exists as an actual board game. The deluxe edition even comes with fully detailed and painted models of the racers from the TV show.
Unfortunately, no matter what the intent was when that punk band started, having all that corpo money slithering around makes selling out the preferred choice.
Then let me rephrase my question. What is hyperbolic about any of the quotes from the press release? I see no exaggeration of the truth for dramatic effect, just some science fiction world-building that may or may not have anything to do with our present reality.
What did you find hyperbolic in this trailer? I did not hear any kind of exaggeration of the truth for dramatic effect. All I heard
was a bunch of gameplay systems to be followed to win a video game.
I love to hear about others' gaming habits. I want to throw rocks at those who come here and brag about DAY ONE on game pass or already played it on game pass like it's some sort of Gotcha for us lowly PS fans. But Nintendo is the GOAT and the Switch is the best console they have ever made and nobody will convince me otherwise.
To be fair...and correct me if I'm off base here...but do we consider video game YouTube channels to be The News? This channel makes money off views and subs and right now they are getting viewership based on someone else's intellectual property whether that information is accurate or not.
I know that doesn't sound much different than "legitimate" news sources but isn't there some kind of FCC paperwork or the like to be filed so that the source can be considered "actual" NEWS and then exempt from takedown notices? I don't know how this works, and information was lacking during my 10 min internet search, but I always figured that the BBC, CBC, or CNN needed to have a licence to print or broadcast the "News"
If this leak was picked up by MSNBC and reported as news would Sony be able to stop them from reporting on it? Does this have more to do with corporations vs citizens than it does with being an actual infringement on intellectual property?
Also, I'm not saying this is good or bad, I'm just putting out some thoughts as to why it would not be considered censorship or infringing on freedom of expression.
From what I have seen in demos so far, I am interested in having a closer look at the combat. The hybrid of Hack'n'slash that evolves into turn-based looks unique to me and I would love a deeper dive into this system.
I don't feel like you do. Playing the games would help to understand the in-jokes and easter eggs but the show does a good enough job of world-building that you will appreciate what Fallout is about.
Will this extend to all the DLC that came out for this game or just the vanilla release? Far Harbor and Nuka-World were cool stories and all the "workshops" expanded the base building a lot.
I watched the first 2 episodes last night and I gotta say, we may have a banger on our hands. It has great production, likeable characters, and a wonderful MacGuffin setup. But for me, it's the world building. It feels like these characters are really living in this world.
