Showing concept videos years before you have a playable product and then watching the hyped-up internet rake you over the coals is why we don't get concept videos years in advance anymore.

I may have to pick up Atelier Yuma. I haven't played any of the Atelier games in full (tried some on the PS+ but they were old) but this one looks really fun!

Complaining about what time it's on in Europe is about the most entitled thing you can complain about. Many things can be said about the Game Awards, but them not changing how time zones work for the world is not one of them.

I watched Jake Baldino's "Before You Buy" and he was generally positive about his experience. There were lots of fisticuffs instead of gunplay, some cool puzzles, and it leans more toward Indy's intellectual side instead of the crazy blockbuster movie Indy. There is also a certain symbol that has not been censored that makes beating up the bad guys feel extra satisfying. I will probably give this a go on GamePass. Oh ya, Troy Baker also pulls off a voice-acting miracle it would seem.

I always try these games, spend enough time to enjoy what it has to initially offer, come up against the progress wall, and then quit. I am always worried that the next one will hook me into remortgaging the house.

Why are awards people tugging on the Erd Tree so much? You can't even access it unless you beat two super difficult (for most) bosses in the base game! Does Miyazaki have so much clout that even his DLCs are considered this important? Never in all my days

Saw this trailer last night in a YouTube trailer roundup and at first I wondered how I missed the new Horizon announcement. It's not just the robot designs but the lighting, environments, characters, and all the other ephemera that flash around the screen. It looks like what I imagine how a Horizon MMORPG may look. Not saying it shouldn't exist just amazed that the entire design language from Horizon has been used.

I am glad PushSquare will post what they think may be interesting to people and let the cards fall where they may. It's not like there is a limited number of stories that can be posted in a day. Yes, it is a streaming device. If I cannot have physical games why would I spend the time to download and install the game if I can just stream it? As soon as Sony opens up the options so you can stream all games in your library this thing will be all I need. We do it all day with our movies, TV and music why not with our games?

exactly!! You want to play your PS games on a handheld. Not a portable PC to play PC games on. Just like people want to play the PS games in the best way that they can on the right TV with the Pro. Neither of these ways are better than the other. (or a scam). If Sony took the idea of a portable Playstation and made it so it could dock and have the same specs as the PS5 Pro AND have an option for physical media, I too would pay your 600 GBP for that bit of kit.

Not upset you called it a scam just confused as to why you would pay the equivalent of a pro to have an even lesser gaming experience. I get it would be portable and that is always an attractive option but as people say about getting a PC instead of a pro, why not just get a Steam Deck?

You would pay 600 GBP for a handheld PlayStation without a disc drive, but 700 GBP for a dedicated console without a disc drive is a "scam". I get that a handheld is more valuable to YOU but a handheld seems to be of less overall value in general. Especially if I cannot buy an add-on to access my physical collection or dock it to play on my TV. I would pay as much as a Switch OLED. What is that now, 299 GBP? Ya I would pay that much, or just use my Portal to stream my games (when Sony inevitably expands this feature).

Isn't it the VAT that makes everything look more expensive than it is? My conversion is 840 bucks plus I need to pay 12% sales tax on top of that price. Who can afford this hobby anymore...lol...

Oh, Ubisoft. Five years ago we would have all been thrilled to see you try to make this game. Today, not so much. How about you try not to implode for now and deliver an AC game in February that won't cause a meltdown on the internet?

Ok, I know everyone in the chat loves to jump on a dorky idea and this is a dorky idea. However, if you are watching the awards anyway and want something more entertaining to do while they are plodding along, this idea may be a bit of fun.

No matter how Sony decides to do this, streaming or downloading the game and playing it natively, it will surely be the death knell of physical media. To paraphrase the beleaguered Ubisoft, Get ready not own your games.

Every Assassin's Creed game is the worst Assassin's Creed game until the next one comes out.

If a remake of any game is needed it is of the First Assassin's Creed game. This game is stuck in the 7th gen and needs to be brought to the present

I am not really an apologist, but I am more of a devil's advocate when it comes to some controversies within the gaming sphere, but I cannot abide by this decision. It's stupid and an obvious bribe to have Miyazaki show up for the awards this year. Guaranteed Turd Tree will now win, no point watching.

Correct me if I am wrong but Ishin has way too many character references, even though they are not "playing" the "yakuza" character they are still "playing" the general archetype similar to the "yakuza" one. Like a play where all the actors just act like themselves but as different people. Not being familiar with who these characters are in the older games will ensure that half the fun of this game is lost on a newcomer.

I too am disappointed we are not getting another 18+ Icons/Ideas set here. The Tallneck is a fantastic model and I would love a fully modelled Clawstrider or Stalker on the shelf next to it. However, I will still buy this set for Varl and the little canisters of mats that come with it. lol...

Edit* not to worried about scale within the sets though. Also, I don't want to pay 600 bucks for some super crazy 5000 piece set either.

Don't sleep on this game, especially if you have been enjoying Metaphor: Refantazio. I have not finished yet but I am about 60 (ish) hours in and it's a lot of crazy fun.

It's funny how everyone hates online multiplayer games but would eat a trail or dog crap to get a Last of Us multiplayer game that we don't even know if it will be as good as Factions. I guarantee that if the new game is not a copy and paste of Factions the entire community will have a temper tantrum.

I think there would not have been any controversy if the Gooners in their basements just shut up about the character design. Then Stellar Blade could have passed under the radar like all eastern games with Waifus and Anime Tiddies.

BloodRayne, Bayonetta, and NieR: Automata would beg to differ on how to become a classic. If Stellar Blade is still worth discussing as time marches, it will be considered a classic. If it gets a sequel, that surpasses what made this game special to its fans, that would also elevate its "classic" status. Stellar Blade will become what it will become.
