I read a lot of games reviews, frequenting many different sites to see the vibe about certain games. With movies, I never search for or read critical reviews. I just tend to read a synopsis of a movie and decide whether or not I want to see it, or go on word of mouth from friends etc. And if I don't like the movie, its no big deal. Only a couple of hours out of my life. Unlike gaming, which is a larger financial and time investment. I 'm glad that the kids enjoyed the Mario movie. Not entirely sure why 'serious' film critics would review it anyway. Or anything with Jason Statham in it 😉
@Old-Red Interesting point. It seems that reviewing day one copies is becoming less and less relevant these days. I am watching this game with interest to see how it develops through patches etc.
@Balaam_ If its not trophies your complaining about, its something else. Physical copies of anything are gonna be defunct soon, get over it. As for the review, lol, kinda what I was expecting. Promises everything but can't quite gel.
@Northern_munkey Lol yeah, what a creepy statement to make. Can unemployed guys afford modern gaming? Marathon doesn't interest me but I think you've been the voice of reason amongst some of the hateful comments 😀
@themightyant I have my PC gaming rig hooked up to my TV, so there is that. However, I still prefer a dedicated gaming console that can get me gaming within 2mins as opposed to waiting for my PC to boot up and then waiting for the launcher to start the game I'm currently playing. It's a time issue 😉
It's bizarre. Does anybody at team Xbox know what market they're aiming for? Do a Sega and just quietly disappear please. But Sony needs some competition, else higher prices in the PS ecosystem.
PC games? Eh? Unless its upgradeable as PC technology improves i don't see the point really. Also, are they planning to charge Steam etc the 30% fee? Nah. DOA.
@Balaam_ Crikey, still obsessed with the trophy thing then eh. I like and respect your opinions, both on here and pure xbox. But please, pretty please stop whining about trophy lists. It's really not important to anybody but you 😞
Please no. I gave up on Rebirth because of the forced minigames slowing the actual story to a crawl. When I got to Costa del Sol and was expected to do minigames for swimming outfits to progress the story, I couldn't take it any more and dropped it. I like it when minigames are entirely optional in games. I liked triple triad, which broke ffviii but it wasn't forced upon me. Could have played the game without touching it.
@Midnyte-Monkey I think they're abused. It's always young people who don't have the emotional or intellectual maturity to realise it. How many of them end up on drugs or drink?
Thank God there's plenty of other games in the meantime. They have their work cut out though to top Skyrim imo. The internet tends to complain a lot about about bugs etc, but in a the version's I've played i have never experienced anything game breaking. Just the odd reload when pathing goes a little wonky on some quests. Saying that, I was fuming at the legendary edition on PS3 after going for the plat because one of the Daedric quests was bugged trophy wise. I didn't know about that bug until I had to google why the trophy didn't pop. Permanently stuck at 99%, was too deflated to spend maybe 30+ hrs on a new game just for that trophy.
@TruestoryYep @Cvantez my apologies: Brawler type button bashing is yesterday's news. Like a Dragon has been their biggest seller. The pirate game flopped.
@Balaam_ i am genuinely concerned about you. Trophies do not validate you as a person. You seem obsessed, pls speak with somebody about it. It's very unhealthy.
@GamingGod With the associated risks, discs not functioning etc. Had to take a few back there in my time unfortunately. But generally yeah, good value for physical.
@AzuDelta lol, not a fan of Nintendo. I bought a Switch a few years back and was hoping to play some of the old Zelda's. Was disgusted to find them locked behind a subscription pay wall, I couldn't just buy them outright. I would've happily paid full price too. Ultimately, I bought nothing for it and gave it to a friends' kid.
@PuppetMaster Loved Resonance of Fate, i think it was quite niche though so is relatively unknown which is a shame. It was quite tough to learn the rather unique battle mechanics, but a joy to behold on screen when mastered. Currently playing Where Winds Meet, only a couple of hours in but like what I've seen so far. Very impressive for a f2p and the only in game purchases are for cosmetics, no p2w elements. Shame about the social chat channels though atm, full of the kids who write reviews on xbox. That's the only downside so far with it being f2p.
@SeaDaVie Yes I've noticed that with previous articles. I'm guessing that it may well be an algorithm based on engagement/views. Annoying as heck though when looking for older articles that are not ordered by the time they were actually posted.

Re: Fable PS5 Reportedly Delayed, GTA 6 Could Push It to 2027
I'm not interested in GTA, but even if I were interested it wouldn't mean I couldn't buy any other game.
Re: PS5 Hit Crimson Desert Might Have Divided Opinion, But It's Cracked 4 Million Sales in Two Weeks
@ShogunRok Yes, shocking take.

Re: Crimson Desert Release Times: When Can You Start Playing?
Why people pre-order baffles me. Wait for reviews etc please.
Gone are the days when I was queueing up at midnight in Taunton for MW2.
Re: Crimson Desert PS5 Trophies Leak, and They're Basically Nonsensical
I am so gonna be glued to this site on Friday to see first impressions. Especially for those on base PS5. Should be fun and games 😉

Re: Feature: Inside Pearl Abyss, the Ambitious Studio Behind PS5's Massive Crimson Desert
Any man worth his soy sauce should ALWAYS have a steady supply of Pot Noodles. Especially for long gaming sessions @get2sammyb
Edit, any person!
Re: Feature: Inside Pearl Abyss, the Ambitious Studio Behind PS5's Massive Crimson Desert
@Uromastryx They must be feeling the pressure 😢
Re: Feature: Inside Pearl Abyss, the Ambitious Studio Behind PS5's Massive Crimson Desert
With all the publicity this game has had, I really hope it doesn't fail. For the sake of gaming.

Major? Okiedokies 😉

Re: Queen's Blood will Return 'Enhanced' in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3
@JonnyAces hmm yeah ok. Some ppl like trophies for validation
The vast majority of us just like to play and enjoy games

Re: 'We Might as Well Dissolve the Team Right Now': Like a Dragon Boss Won't Bend to Overseas Popularity
@SuntannedDuck2 Hi, sorry for slow response. But yeah, the map in Aotamata is not user friendly at all. Aside from that, I enjoyed it a lot.
Re: 'We Might as Well Dissolve the Team Right Now': Like a Dragon Boss Won't Bend to Overseas Popularity
@SuntannedDuck2 The Nier stories are incredibly convoluted but great imo.
Try Kingdom Hearts, logic got thrown out ta the window 😀
Re: 'We Might as Well Dissolve the Team Right Now': Like a Dragon Boss Won't Bend to Overseas Popularity
@SuntannedDuck2 Katamari be thata way, along with Nier etc 😉

@Cvantez It's a series of games, but these made up characters matter to you?
Re: 'We Might as Well Dissolve the Team Right Now': Like a Dragon Boss Won't Bend to Overseas Popularity
The reason its exploded in imo, turn based fun. Not destroying joypads with crap.

So tempted by MGS...but no, I just know it'll be on psplus extra or essential at some point. Maybe if it was 50% off I'd bite.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 607
@GirlVersusGame lol sorry, thought you were just satisfied with it 😅
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 607
@GirlVersusGame And the name of the game is?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 607
