When it comes to point and click adventures, Broken Sword 2: The Smoking Mirror is an all-time classic — and it's being remastered in early 2026 for PS5.
This will be the second time developer Revolution Software has 'reforged' a title from the iconic series, having released Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Reforged around this time last year.
That remaster was incredibly well received by just about everyone who played it, and so we're expecting a similarly impressive effort from Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror Reforged (which, as you may have noticed, has dropped the '2' from its name).

Indeed, we were left thoroughly impressed with Shadow of the Templars Reforged. "As a remaster, Reforged is about as good as it gets," is what we wrote in our 9/10 review.
The studio's once again promising "extensively enhanced" 4K visuals — with an option to toggle to the original look — better audio quality, an updated user interface, optional puzzle help, and a raft of bonus content.
