One of my first ps1 demo discs back in the day was George and Nicole, and a clown. Wouldn't pay for it then, and wouldn't now. It's point and click. I appreciate that some people like to pay for it though. But I preferred reading Asterix and Obelix ð
Only played a couple of hours so far. It looks absolutely incredible graphically, which was a foregone conclusion anyway lol. The fast travel is even faster than Tsushima, blink and your there ð Also liked that I was distracted by things happening dynamically in the open world. Not a Ubisoft tick box exercise, just random people etc in the countryside. Busy atm with finishing a couple of other games, then my weekend is devoted to it!
Personally I prefer such things on a ng+, after actually playing the games naturally. I do think trophies or achievements should be disabled though, because its a false representation of actual accomplishment.
@Feffster How annoying. In a recent sale that bundle was on sale for about ÂĢ12ish. I bought it. It'll be on sale again at that price no doubt, I suggest you put it on your wishlist and you'll be notified when its on sale again.
@Feffster what I've done in the past is clicked on the games on my homepage, selected view product or whatever it says and I was directed to psn with the option to purchase. Been a while though, don't know if it still works. But yeah anyway, such a dumb oversight by Sony or they cynically want people permanently tied to subs.
@Rich33 I feel the same, I somehow managed to finish the 3rd one as excruciating as I found it. Probably because I paid full price at around release time and was determined to get something out of it. Never touched it since though. It has lots of praise, just didn't gel with me.
Loved the original releases but just couldn't master the tank controls effectively enough in the re-releases. Either its my age or they are just terrible controls.
Purely for games, nothing else. Even if I didn't have a modern TV with all the apps I'd rather just use a firestick. Waste of money and power imo to boot up a PS5 just to stream stuff.
As much as I loved the first game, please do not have them damn repetitive 'save the hostages' to claim the base quests. But meh, I'm not a creator, guess its hard to fill an open world with interesting and unique quests such as Elder Scrolls. I won't be buying day one, it looks as padded as the first one.
@Ellie-Moo lol, i remember taking it out of my ps1 and sticking it in the cd player for the tunes ð Not sure what arcade archives is, a sub service or streaming only like Anstream?
2 More reasons not to pay for premium. Nothing premium about it, would be cheaper just to buy the very rare games on premium that people actually want.
Thanks at least for the local minimap showing as default in interiors. A little late though. Platted it yesterday ð Think I'll be buying ES6 a year after release if it actually gets released in my lifetime.
I tried starting that game many times, but got put off by the card game. Gwent? I preferred the cards in Ff8, they actually had an impact on the gameplay.
Haven't rated it. I was on about the fifth mission, and the stoopid dragon thing started. Got bored. Not sure I'll go back to it. Played on gamepass, and feel sorry for the peeps that paid full price.
Have almost platted it and am enjoying it. But yeah, it can be buggy. I've had to reload saves a few times and it has crashed about 5 times. But nothing gamebreaking. Surely it is to be expected from a Bethesda Original, a lot of the coding is still in there. Kudos to Virtuos for managing to do what they have with it. It was never a flawless game, but i'll never forget leaving the sewers in 2006 to an absolutely massive open world with so much to discover ð
I would have expected call of The Mountain to be a lot cheaper by now. Especially considering Sony's poor support for PSVR2. Ditto about the scrolling on phones, I only looked at the first page ð
@OldGamer999 You and me should be guest stars on 'grumpy old men' lol. Tis an shame the BBC don't do that series anymore As for Switch, Nintendo can f off. I bought it, thinking i could buy the N64 Zelda games. Nope. Locked behind a sub. Grrrrr . Sold it swiftly ð
I've only played through to chapter 4 , and i' .m enjoying it. But wouldn't buy it. Not worth it imo, they can't replicate the original Doom games. A little like ffvii, don't mess with a good formula

@DETfaninATL Hearing great things about that game, but its been a packed gaming month!
Re: Poll: Vote for Your PS5 Game of the Month (September 2025)
Shoot me for speaking, but surely Silksong is just a platformer, with Soulslike precision needed?
Meh.
Edit, voted BL4.
Re: Poll: What Are Your First Impressions of Ghost of Yotei on PS5?
@ear_wig Good point, I do find it strange sometimes when the polls ask for ratings before many have had the time to complete them.

Re: Preview: Why 007 First Light Is the Most Exciting Game of 2026
@themightyant Bear in mind that 007 is licenced (no pun intended). That licence alone will restrict what you can do with that character
Re: Square Enix Is Taking All Its Big Guns to TGS This Month
@WiccanMagick75 thankyou ð
Re: Square Enix Is Taking All Its Big Guns to TGS This Month
@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy I highly suspect that a Chrono Trigger remaster would far outstrip the sales from Oblivion remastered.
But they don't like money.
Re: Square Enix Is Taking All Its Big Guns to TGS This Month
FF Tactics for me. I couldn't find a copy anywhere when it originally released, hope its worth the 28yr wait ð
Re: Preview: Why 007 First Light Is the Most Exciting Game of 2026
Had it been Hitman 4 I may have bothered to watch the video. But a James Bond adventure? Huh? Not for me thankyou.

Re: Resident Evil 2, 3 PS1 Ports Disappoint with No Trophy Support on PS5, PS4
Doesn't bother me. Two of my all time favourite ps1 games ð Nostalgia beats trophies, although the newer generation may find it odd.

Re: Once Upon a Katamari Brings the Series Back with a Brand New Game on PS5
@MrPeanutbutterz Haven't booted them up for a while, but pretty sure there wasn't a one stick option. I would've jumped on that option ð

Re: 'We Won't Make You Do the Same Thing Over and Over': Ghost of Yotei PS5 Will Keep You Guessing
@kcarnes9051 putting my popcorn down. You two clearly know your stuff.
Gotta love armchair devs.
Re: Sony Veterans Notice Their Purchased PS3 Avatars Have Gone Missing
Lol, not a big deal. Touch my digital copy of Vagrant Story and murders may happen.
Re: 'We Won't Make You Do the Same Thing Over and Over': Ghost of Yotei PS5 Will Keep You Guessing
@SeaDaVie To be fair, the Yakuza sidequests are quite unique and hilarious. GoT got repetitive fast imo.
Re: PS Stars Program Marks Its Eventual Shut Down with One Last Collectible
@balaam, see a doctor. Your tirade is that of a person who isn't well. You don't need to 100 everything , sometimes we fail. Accept it.

@Damage99 Respect mate. I've giviven up hope of it ever appearing on Premium.

I tried starting that game many times, but got put off by the card game. Gwent? I preferred the cards in Ff8, they actually had an impact on the gameplay.
Re: Elden Ring Nightreign Will Make Solo Play Easier Next Week
Not for me, I've just bought an old PS3 console so I can play Vagrant Story legally.

Played it on Gamepass, but NO, just NO. Added nothing to the narrative whatsoever, and no ng+ option. Nah.

@OldGamer999 Diminishing returns indeed mate. Perhaps I'm getting too old.
But great stuff for the new gamers ð
Re: Inquiry Already Underway Over Lacklustre DOOM: The Dark Ages Opening
@OldGamer999 lol, praising the generic Avowed much. Bored me to tears. Seen it all before.

@themightyant Was a bad move imo, shadowdropping Oblivion like that, during the same week as FH5 and Expedition 33.
Sack that business manager.
Re: Not Everyone Loved Oblivion Remastered's Shadow Drop
@Godot25 Kudos to those guys, the game has been well received. Have played very little of it, but am impressed from what I've seen so far ð

Very tabloid 'let's hate Oblivion title.
