The V is supposed to be facing the player! Tbe disc drive is to be in tbe front just like Dev kit. Also makes sense to have some of the heat blowing out of the front especially if it's in an entertainment center.
It's a joke that the PS5 doesn't have emulator support baked into the hardware/software! That would be such an easy solution. The difference would be that to play a particular game you would still need the physical disc which would act like a key and allow you to play the emulated version. You can literally play emulated PS1 games on a RetroPie or Android phone these days! PS2 emulation with PCSX2 and PS3 emulation with RPCS3 has also come a long ways! PS5 is based on x86 PC architecture and packing some serious horsepower so this could be done. These are open source emulators, Sony with it's vast amount of resources could optimize them to run smooth. Not every game would work but it would certainly be better than nothing...
@HellOfaHunter the original Xbox was more powerful than PS2. It didn't matter though because PS2 sales were incredible. Specs aren't everything, it's all about games!
Why is everyone crying?!? Sony clearly has a plan and will release PS5 info when they're ready. The specs will be equal or even better than Xbox so that has nothing to do with it! The games are also heavy hitters and that's what matters most! People don't cry when a new iPhone gets announced literally a week or two before it's release. I expect a full reveal in April or May.
I really miss gaming magazines! I would always pick them up at my local 7-11 or get a monthly subscription to PSM. That Japanese magazine cover art looks awesome! I'd love to see some others.
@PcTV LMAO WTF are you talking about? PSone pistol whipped the N64 in sales and game variety because the N64's storage format prevented 3rd party studios from wanting to develop games for the system! Fast forward 25 years later and Sony is using Blu-Ray optical media which holds large amounts of storage for cheap compared to Nintendo using flash media on Switch which is expensive by comparison!
Legal issues? Give me a break! Insomniac owns the "Sunset Overdrive" IP. Sony now owns Insomniac. You see where I'm going with this... They could port the game to PS4 today if they wanted! I hope they do with some new missions given that it's 5 years old already. Then a future sequel would be PS5 exclusive.
People clearly don't know how Sony operates! If it's cheaper to make Sony will obviously release a new model. Slim PS2 came out before PS3 and the Super Slim PS3 came out a year before the PS4. It would make sense to release a new slim PS4 at a reduced cost for the holiday season. It's always good to get a hardware sales boost to go along with your software during the holidays. That would fill the 2019 gap since PS5 isn't coming out until Fall 2020 presumably
Sony should acquire Spiders who is doing the new "Greedfall" game. Housemarque seems like a no brainer, the recent visit by Yoshida is telling. I would also like to see another one picked up. That makes three in total to add to their 1st party portfolio. Anything else is a pipe dream.
