We can't help but build up a reasonable amount of excitement for the upcoming GreedFall. It looks set to be Spiders Studio's best game yet, and now we know exactly when we will get our hands on it. The RPG comes to PS4 in just a couple of months on 10th September.
The new trailer above is well worth checking out too, as it touches on a number of mechanics we can expect to engage with in-game. Alongside a good amount of gameplay, new footage reveals a character creator, dialogue options, romance scenes, weapon upgrades, inventory screens, and bartering with local townsfolk.
It's probably not going to be on the same level as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or Fallout 4, but this quest to put an end to a seemingly unstoppable plague could turn out to be a pleasant surprise. "Joining your cousin, governor Constantin D’Orsay, along with various factions with their own directives and hidden agendas, journey into a new world seeping with magic. Will you align yourself with one of the new colonies, or join the natives in their struggle for liberty?"

Ugh i wanted to play this but dang it another September game why couldnt it release like now. Or November or December when theres less to pick from.....
Not enough games coming out in September lol. Will keep aneye on this but coulx get into the last spiders game technomancer probably a pass
It shows so much promise, but given the studio's history, I'm having to keep my expectations in check. My hope is that it's just a solid RPG.
The issue with Spiders' other games is that there are always glaring problems: technical issues, crappy writing, rubbish combat... If we can avoid serious flaws and just have an overall good game, then we're on the right track.

@Stonecold Don't think anything's been said about the length yet. Spiders games are usually around 20-30 hours, but this seems like the studio's biggest project yet.

I remember actually quite liking parts of Bound By Flame, enough to platinum it. The music was pretty good in that game, too. I've never played any other Spiders games, though.

Spider studio ain't a triple a developer. But it's a good studio for sure!
I like the potential here. If the narrative choices are good and not just pick good/bad and have weight it’ll have something solid here. I also find it interesting that it says join one of the colonies. Does that mean we have multiple choices there? That could be cool because I’ll probably join a colony and grab some power. 😂
