All I saw was hacking and slashing while they showed the same places over and over again. For a 4 year wait, it’s a disappointing trailer. I need story details. I also hope there’s an option to turn the blood to mild or off.

Not interested in a still-image of high-level detail that will only show through cutscenes.

@tameshiyaku I think Sony has already said that the PS6 won’t be as costly as the 5 Pro. We’ll probably be looking at a $550-600usd PS6. It can’t cost too much more than the Switch 2, unless the handheld comes into play.

The people offended at Atsu VA’s personal opinions (on her own social media account, mind you) were never going to buy the game in the first place. If you look hard enough under anyone’s personal life, you’ll find something you don’t like. Doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy things, unless you let these situations hold that kind of power over you.

If this game gets good reviews across the board, then I’ll pick it up.

This is similar to the cheats in later versions of OG FF7.

I’m sure it’ll come to PS5 as an update. It’ll certainly give me a reason to replay Remake.

Looking forward to Ghost 2 next month. After exclusives stop hitting the PS5, I’ll have to wait a year as a PC user. But if the transition from 5 to 6 lasts as long as 4 to 5, I’ll be fine for a while.

@LogicStrikesAgain If the wording is clear to you, hopefully the intention behind it is too. The writer is negging the Switch 2, which is unnecessary given the subject of the article. If we were given a comparison video or analysis, it’d make more sense. Also, passively telling me to go somewhere else if I don’t like it doesn’t excuse the writer from constructive criticism of his content.

@LogicStrikesAgain The wording in this article is definitely sus. This article is about the RE9 trailer, but the writer turned it into a Switch 2 vs PS5 debacle. I was expecting a comparison video but we got a screenshot instead. The PS5 is a powerful console and its power doesn’t need to be stated against the Switch 2, especially to users on a PS site.

On another note, there’s such thing as too much darkness. I recently played through RE7 and 8 on PC and had to turn up the game’s brightness to a 6/10 just to not strain my eyes, even though the recommended was 3 or 4 brightness according to their setting recommendations. As a result, the game was slightly washed out. So being able to see Grace’s eyes in the screenshot comparison for Switch 2 may be a blessing in disguise. But I’ll be getting the PC version anyway.

Hopefully DLC is in the works soon.

@PuppetMaster None of those instances are in the same league as a shooter designed with women’s body parts jiggling aggresively as they fire and reload their guns as the core attraction of the game. Not even close. Also Jill has a white jacket covering the back of her skirt in 3 iirc.

@Kingy I played Revelations on 3DS, and there’s nothing wrong with Jill being in a latex suit. She’s covered all around with little cleavage showing. You can see glimpses of her butt at times, and you can do the same in RE3R if you make your FOV bigger. So what? It doesn’t jiggle or have an exaggerated size. It’s her butt, admire it and move on.

So they’re turning Jill into gooner bait.

It seems like everyone is ignoring the Sonic DLC for RePac 2 shown in the trailer 😅 this article doesn’t even mention it. Makes me wonder if people got confused and thought this was all part of Crossworlds.

Sony will keep making consoles for generations to come, but their titles will be available for non-PS owners too. Does anyone seriously think PS6 is gonna be the last one?

Still need to get this game at some point. I’ve watched the story on YouTube 3 times now, but have yet to play it. I heard it’s a very depressing experience overall, not sure if I can handle it.

The older I’m growing, the less appealing fighting games have become. Don’t have time for the grind like I used to.

I’m glad Smash still exists, pretty much the only fighting game that can be played as competitively as it can casually. Wish more fighting games would lean into more fun and casual design.

I looked at his resetera posts and they seem to be his personal thoughts rather than claiming what will happen. I don’t know this insider though or the things he claims, but you’d think if he was such a “know-it-all” that he would have leaked this strategy beforehand, no?

Anyway, the goalpost moving has begun. I’m not gonna stand around pretend that live service and “experimental games” is where the line ends. PS4 games will follow, it’s just a matter of when.

@GilberTilbert Yup, I was referring to the people outside the PS ecosystem. Like how PC players know GTA6 will eventually come to them, but before that day comes, there will be those who cave and buy a PS or Xbox to play it instead of waiting it out for their platform.

@Bingoboyop Because their exclusives will still come to PlayStation *first. Gamers who can’t wait 1-2 years for a port will cave and buy the new PlayStation to experience the game before it’s released to the masses.

This way they make mad money during the game’s exclusive-phase, and when sales quiet down, release it everywhere else and enjoy another large, continuous stream of revenue.

I had a strong feeling the moment Sony opened the door to PC and saw the potential for more money, that releases on other platforms like Microsoft and Nintendo would eventually follow.

In the end, this is great for all of gaming.

Wait, Atsu has more weapons, so if she can do a special ghost stance with any of them, that would be cool. Unless they limit it to just the sword.

@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare I think Squid Game Season 1 was the best for sure. Season 2 didn’t hit as strong, it felt like it didn’t have as important a cast as the first, and having to wait half a year for S3 put me on edge. Season 3 released and I thought it was much better because we got to see a lot of character arcs completed. I did not like Gi-Hun killing Dae-Ho in Hide and Seek. I also did not like that Gi-Hun died, but I later realized that after Season 1 he was already a dead man walking, so I’m glad he went out with his morals intact and was put to rest. I did not like the police officer brother searching for his sibling storyline, it ended up being for nothing when all we got was a “why, inho, whyyyy?!” But I liked Inho giving him the baby months later. After finishing season 3, I felt softer towards season 2, since the characters who I thought weren’t all that important or interesting finished their arcs, or changed or whatever, in the 3rd season. Being able to watch season 2 and 3 back to back now makes squid games 2 overall as enjoyable as the first, even if it had some questionable writing choices.

@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare Squid Game S2 and 3 did not bomb. You can simply say you didn’t like it.

Season 3 needs to cover Abby’s story + the confrontation + timeskip. You know the chronological mode they just came out with? That’s what they should have done with the show imo, showing their journeys side by side until the big fight. I’m not sure how many people are going to care to watch season 3 when Ellie, Dina, and Tommy will be absent until the climax.

@Cerny Are you unaware of how Sony has been handling their first party games this gen? This whole gen has been about ps4 visuals @60fps instead of 30fps. Look at GoW:R and Spiderman 2, and now Ghost Y. 60fps is great, but it came at a cost this generation.
