This is getting comical at this point. What about new IP's, what about new games in literally any series at this point?

What does Sony have for the existing players? These Remasters and Remakes are only for two groups of people: Shills that buy anything from PS Studios no matter what, and new players that didn't have a PS3 /or PS4.

I don't think anyone will really care. This game didn't even make back it's budget....

Can't make a GPU that can natively render the damn pixels? Fake it with AI and introduce artifacts.

@ButterySmooth30FPS You can get a used RTX that supports DLSS for cheap. You wouldn't get a BD Drive for PC since all games there are digital.

Wow that's expensive for what you get. It says it includes a 2TB SSD, as in internal storage or an M.2 pre-installed?
Because I personally don't want to pay for an M.2 that I won't use or need since I'd be transferring my current one.

The only way this is an upgrade for me is if it will actually do 4K 120hz with 4:4:4 color space. (PS5 currently does 4:2:2 when 120hz is enabled)

I have zero confidence that Sony will allow us to use the discs we already have. They will just trinkle out some curated games to the PS Store and make us buy them again.

It's a shame because the PS3 remaster of the Jak series is far superior to the PS2 Classics we have on PS5 now.

This happens with every live service game. No company ever properly prepares for every unknown. They can't accurately predict player numbers (D2 Final Shape got almost 300K per-orders at the last minute) and they definitely can't predict what will go wrong when they open the floodgates to hundreds of thousands of people hitting them all at once.

I just set my expectations. I knew yesterday was going to be a glorious disaster and it was. I'm not mad at all. Just ended up playing something else and then got back to D2 today.

Sells half the amount of the first one and is a great success.

Two minutes into the game and it preaches to you about the environment. Then the symbiote infected boss fight of "you know who" was absolute cringe. I need to avoid spoilers but that boss in the Suburbs was so bad.

So once again the disc contains nothing resembling a playable game. Ubisoft is a joke.

That was easy to refute your argument. Plus, I'm neither a hardcore PC player or a HellDivers 2 player. I just sympathize with people who feel like they are preyed upon. Sony sees money bags in you, not a customer to be treated fairly.

The only unhinged people here are the PS Fanboys. You need to understand that PC Players do not want ANOTHER Account under their belt. From EA, to Ubisoft, etc.

Sony has a history with data breaches. It's not really that unexpected that players would be upset they have to give their information to a company that has little incentive to keep it secure.

What about the issue of PSN not being available in all countries? What happens to them? Refunds?

If that was what they intended from the beginning then why would the lack of censorship be on the disc? Why is sony marking the 1.0.2 update as "Mandatory" so that the PS5 downloads the update regardless of the auto update settings?

His response sounds like Sony canned/approved response because he's under NDA.

It's not just about skimpy outfits, the gore too.

But also, it's about the double standard at Sony Playstation. Why is TLOUII allowed to have so much gore and a full nude intercourse scene but Eve can't have a bunny suit?

Better yet, let's look at Baldur's Gate 3, you can have intercourse between entire different species which again contains full nudity.

Sony treats western developers differently than eastern ones.

I'm in the camp of no censorship. We have a rating system for a reason. I have cancelled my playstation plus subscription.

The "latex" one is a little over the top for my taste but I appreciate the freedom of choice for players that like that sort of thing.

I'm just glad Eve looks like a video game character I want to play as. It's not a dude masquerading as a woman.

Last time I used it on my 500mbps connection it was still terrible with too much input latency.

I just don't see Cloud Gaming as viable until everyone has at least 1Gbps connections. Latency is king.

After all these updates why can't Sony implement the ability to split the audio channels for Game and Voice? WebM supports multi-channel audio and the built-in capture features on PC can do this......I hate having to toggle voice sharing on and off.

Calling the game a Remaster when it looks mostly the same with a small bump in resolution is kinda disingenuous at best.

LOL, you just regurgitated the same talking points of every Stan for this game. It wasn't a minority, it was a large chunk of TLOU fanbase. The "10 MILLION COPIES!" you're referring to doesn't mean successful, it took nearly double the amount of time to reach that milestone as other Sony First party IP's and even then it was sold at massive discount. I've seen it as low as $10.

Put this into perspective. Days Gone sold 8 Million Copies in ONE YEAR and Sony considered it a failure. TLOUII took TWO YEARS to reach 10 Million while being massively discounted. It's not the win you think it is.

Good thing their last big Single Player game jaded and divided it's fanbase to bits and now there's little trust in them as a developer.

To be honest after all the TLOUII drama, I'm much less hyped for anything ND has planned.

@PixelDragon A lot of TV shows don't have physical editions anymore. One of my favorite TV shows ever is Mythbusters and finding the old DVD's are extremely difficult.

There's also some edgy jokes that have been cut, as well as removal of some graphics when a person gets morphed into a monster.

Naughty Dog desperately needs a win right now, TLOUII possibly under performed and now all they have is a remake and two remasters for the entire PS5 generation so far.

And before anyone flames me in the replies I say "possibly" because Sony won't release the actual f-n' sales data in their annual reports. We will never truly know if they made a profit beyond that insane 300 Million Dollar Budget. All we have to go on is that "10 Milllion" they claimed more than two years after it released, which doesn't seem all that great when you realize the game was selling for $30-$40 at the time.

So bigger than a Steam Deck with far less functionality.

I tried Nikke because I'm a sucker for anime games and I'm still salty over the shutdown of Priconne.....and it's honestly the most shallow and shameless one I played. I can understand it's popularity but I just wasn't a fan.

I'll stick with the Arctis headset thanks. Playstation's headsets have never been comfortable for me since the Pulse Elite back on the PS3. There's always that Diagonal Plastic inside the ear cup that presses against my ear and it hurts after just an hour or two.

I've clipped underground while fighting some crimes forcing me to fast travel, I've run into bugs where if you run to close to a trapped NPC before their conversation triggers you will be unable to move or continue.

Let's see what Naughty Dog has accomplished this generation, shall we?

Remaster Collection.
A "Remake" no one asked for.
A possibly cancelled Multiplayer spin-off is MIA.
Now there's another upcoming "Remaster" no one asked for.

This feels like an excuse for Sony to charge you $70 for a game that's honestly worth maybe $35-$40. This is a shameless Money Grab, when they could've just had a $10 upgrade for PS5 and a separate PC Release.

He Brought Sony back into the world of Complacency and Arrogance we saw at the beginning on the PS3 era. I don't care how much money he made the company, I don't like supporting a company that cares more about shareholders than the players.

Even if Sony did come up with a new Emulator, it's not enough to get me on Premium at this insane price point. It would also have to allow me to play the games I already own. I'm not buying them a second time.

.....and don't even get me started on PS3 Games.

@XboxTheBestBox I won't ever be caught dead paying more for PS Plus to stream games. If they give me a legit emulator as part of that price, then they will get me.

I should be able to play my existing games as well as pick up new ones I missed without having to rely on streaming in a world where Fiber Internet and anything faster than what I have is so rare

The biggest problem with remote play and the reason for why I don't use it is the fact that the Playstation and whatever device do not communicate over the network directly, so you will always be limited by your ISP's upload speed. If you think Steam Link introduces a bunch of latency even over a 1Gbps connection, it's even worse on remote play, even if the two devices are in the same room.

Remote play has to upload to a Sony Server and then go back to your Remote Device so this introduces a ton of unnecessary latency.

I don't entirely fault Sony for that limitation since it's most likely to combat people exploiting remote play to cheat or do whatever else.

@Arnna What are you talking about. The game as a whole was mediocre at best. A polished turd is still a turd.

A game that's meant to have a great narrative and story and doesn't is a failure as a game. It divided the fan base and probably harmed ND's reputation overall with older fans. Sure, the graphics, level design, sound, and gameplay are all amazing, but it stands upon a broken foundation.
