Respect for what he achieved during 30 years with Sony but glad he's leaving. The main issue for me is lack of communication with ps community. I want somebody like Layden to be head of PS again, I don't think Hulst is the best option tbh
From this gen I started to collect physical discs of my favorite games, mostly AAA games as I mostly play them...I have no issue with digital but I prefer it on indie games. My point being, I would buy AW2 if it released on disc. Still hoping there will be some GOTY edition one day, but if not, I'll wait until it's in ps+, no rush. Anyway, I'm 100% convinced AW2 would sell significantly more copies when released also on disc. Remedy just does not want to say they were wrong on this, my opinion
None of these 4 for me. If they do some remaster collection of Gears of War 1-3 games and bring it to ps, it's day 1 for me. Maybe Ori games would be cool, but really not much else - don't care about Starfield, Halo, Forza, CoD, Hellblade, Indiana Jones and so on. They have still very little so I would even start considering xbox as my secondary console (Switch would be definitely better choice imo).
But that's just me and my opinion, of course, I wish for other ps players that MS will bring some of their 1st party titles to ps. I'm sure they will sell good on ps because ps players are used to buying the games apart from xbox obes but it's obviously because of GP
After 5 months I really need a break from souls! ER was great, BB somehow even better and got my 1st platinum ever but time to move on... now want to concentrate on my backlog and starting with Separate Ways - just started 2nd chapter and honestly died several times in the beginning until I got used to game's controls and mechanics
Let's finish this DLC first, yeah and then...already 10 games installed and waiting for me but couldn't resist any longer and yesterday ordered FF16, it's hard with so many great games out there
Only Gears of War original trilogy games...I finished first game years ago on PC and 2/3 never released on PC, never had xbox console so no chance to play 2 and 3. Tbh, I'm surprised that from all of the franchises MS currently have, it's only Gears for me
After very busy week with almost no time left for gaming, I hope to get back to Bloodborne ng+ this weekend...I have 2 bosses left in DLC, then main game finale. After that I plan big break from souls/borne after 5 months
Beside gaming I want to watch some football matches, darts, NHL all-stars probably, some NBA hopefully.
Tbh, not convinced at all right now...SH2 is one of the best games ever and deserves great remake like RE2/4, but maybe the issue is that I don't believe Bloober team, I think Bluepoint would do better job on this
I can´t stop playing Bloodborne! During the week finished DLC first and then platinumed the game and to be honest this is my first platinum trophy - I´m really proud of myself to achieve that. For me Bloodletting beast in chalice was much harder than Orphan of Kos. I´m on NG+ now but only speedrunning through the story bosses to enjoy how OP I am currently and trying different weapons etc. When done I really need to get back to my backlog finally...Separate Ways first, from ps+ downloaded Evil West and Calisto Protocol, if those two not for me I will maybe buy Dark Souls 3 or Lies of P...but if in the meantime DLC for Elden Ring comes out, then I´ll probably dive into that
Please let the players choose what they want to do in the game! I did fast travel a lot in Elden Ring too and it has one of the greatest open world ever made
Bloodborne - Old Hunters, trying to beat Orphan of Kos. After that, still some trophies to chase to get the platinum in base game...I hope I will be rewarded some day
little too late to the party, but I was playing Bloodborne - finally beat Ludwig the Accursed/Holy Blade after lot of attempts, but I did it so very happy for that and can move on in the DLC. also chasing the trophy for Pthumerian Queen in chalices - slowly progressing I love this game and hope there will be some day proper remaster/remake (ideally by Bluepoint) or BB2 (one can dream). Have a nice week, gamers
Most of my gaming time I spend on AAA games, don't have enough time to play them so I find even harder to get to some of these, last exception was Stray which was fantastic...however I only heard good things about Cocoon and Dredge so maybe I'll try those one day. From games in this article nothing that really grabbed my attention at first glance, but when something is reviewed well and/or is added via ps+, I might give it a try...what I appreciate with indie games is that they can be tested via demos in quite high number what I'd like to see with AAA titles more often to happen
Bloodborne DLC on ps5...I got stuck on Ludwig for the moment so trying to figure out how to beat that sucker so in between progressing through Chalice dangeons to level up a bit and gain some insight.
I'm also downloading Evil West which I want to try now when it's free via ps+. I should also get back to Separate Ways to finish RE4R pack and free some space on ps5.
From Monday back to work after 2,5 weeks off, really would like to prolong it by plus 1 week but it is as it is I'm afraid
Fingers crossed this new IP will be good and successful game, and then who knows?! Maybe Sony will give DG2 a go in the future...but if new IP will end up so good, most probably this might be the sequel Sony will want from Bend. It's tricky of course, but I wish there still some chance for DG2 some day
I can only hope that Sony will come with lot of positive news this year, great exclusives, State of Plays and one big PS showcase full of 1st party stuff and surprises, and will also level up their additions to all 3 ps+ tiers. I personally wish ps5 pro is real thing too and will be oficially announced soon.
Keep up the great coverage, Pushsquare team - I only joined in 2023, but really like this website.
My GOTY is Elden Ring, so what? Who really cares?!
It's clear that playstation fans made a huge impact here and that's fine, imo it should be done 2 lists - one according to redaction, second according to fan votes. I'm not fan of Spiderman nor BG3, so I don't care the results at all, but I assume quality does not mean the best. Look at CoD for example, it's still the same but best-selling every year, GoW won Game Awards over RDR2 which was technically better game but GoW was much popular in general I guess (I would vote for GoW)...I mean, it is absolutelly pointless to argue about what is better, we should enjoy the games we like, not losing time by fighting with each other
I'm SP player only and love to play and explore new games, therefore I will never understand these statistics and why these live service games are so popular, but totally respect players who like these games from whatever reason...
This year I made a personal record because 1st time ever I spent 100+ hours on one game, my list is:
1. Elden Ring 170hrs
2. Bloodborne 40hrs (2nd run and just started DLC), BB is now my 2nd game after ER I spent 100+ hours in the game
3. RE4 remake 30hrs (only started DLC)
Next year I plan to play FF16, RE Village (2nd run in 3rd person), Lies of P, hopefully Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, really awaiting Silent Hill 2 remake but have doubts if Bloober will do their best here so will wait for reviews first...
I only hope that Sony will never forget SP games are still very important for a lot of PS gamers (myself included) and will still let their studios working on them. I get that they need some successful live service title on their own, but let's avoid what happened to ND who lost years working on Factions2 and cancelled that project in the end to finally find out that they want to stick with SP games after all...ridiculous but I'm not laughing at all
I'm almost done with my 2nd play through in Bloodborne - I enjoyed it much more than around 3 years ago, I assume because it was my 1st experience with soulsbourne games back then. Since then I played Demon's Souls and Elden Ring on ps5 and got better slowly This time I spent more time by exploring some optional areas and bosses, upgraded my primary weapon to highest level, etc. It's simply a masterpiece! So right now stopped before big final and moved to Old Hunters DLC I never played before and gosh it is hard!
I probably take a break from BB now and will come back to Separate Ways where I only did the prologue just to mix it up a bit
Are there any plans for DLC(s)? No way I will support this digital-only releases but with some GOTY edition maybe there's some little chance they would release also physical copies in the future...if not, I'll play this once it will come to ps+ some day
I plan to get to this one in 2024...I'm not a FF fan, never played any FF game before except demos for FF7R and 16 - I really prefer the combat in 16, the traditional one is simply not for me
Tbh, I had no interest to play this game when I watched all the trailers and some gameplays before the game came out...I only saw BB-clone in it, but nothing special. But now after all the reviews and feedbacks from the players, I want to give it try sometime in the future, maybe next year already...after ER done, I'm on my 2nd playthrough in BB, and god knows when DLC for ER comes out so if I'll be in the soulsborne mood still, I'd like to know if LoP really so good as BB or even better as many saying
Bloodborne 2nd run...it was my my 1st FromSoft game 3yrs ago and now after Demon's Souls and recently Elden Ring my 2nd run seems bit easier and smoother for me Of course, I expect DLC will kick my ass as I never played it, but looking forward to it anyway.
I also started Separate Ways for RE4R, but will have to wait until I'm done with BB - I really don't understand how you all can play more games in the same time, simply don't work for me...
However, have a great X-mas holidays and enjoy the gaming if you manage to find some time for our beloved hobby
Impressive achievement considering all the issues Sony/ps5 had to face. I picked up mine 1,5yrs ago and it was in the right time when there was already VRR option out, M.2 ssd expansion enabled and some ps5 exclusives out too - really nothing to complain about ps5 itself since then, it's silent, dualsense is great, BC with ps4 works fine, performance modes bringing 40/60/120fps, etc. With the games I'm absolutely fine. Yes, I don't like GAAS approach, but if they still produce high quality SP games, I'm willing to forgive them Agree with what's mentioned above, that they should share roadmap at least for upcoming 12 months window just to know what to expect, but honestly it's clear they are working on games. With my backlog of games, I'm still busy so when it's ready let's bring it works well for me with only 1 exception which is Bluepoint studio - really would like to know the project they're up to
I wish ps5 lots of success also in upcoming years and of course, lots of great ps5 games, cheers
I tried AW1 several times on PC, this year also remastered via ps+, but always quit after 2-3 hours (nice atmosphere but boring gameplay)...but with AW2 now turned into survival horror I think I could try this game but only in deep sale later or again once added into ps+ sometime in the future - I just don´t want to support only digital release, sorry Alan and Remedy
I finally finished Elden Ring, guys! it only took 3 months/170hrs... never played any game so long and what surprised me is that I never lost a passion for the game and motivation to finish it even when I had bad days and barely any progress in there. Right now easily got into my TOP3 and looking forward to DLC.
For next, I´ll be playing Separate Ways and some Bloodborne. Looking forward to LivFC vs ManU match tomorrow, hope we´ll see good match...
I played only few from this year releases and out of them my GOTY is RE4 remake. 2nd is Dead Space remake. 3rd place would go for FF16 despite that I played only demo but definitely want to play this game later...
Tbh, really surprised how many people here rate Lies of P so high - need to give it a try next year I hope
RE2 and 4 remakes still rule imo...still need to buy and complete DLC Separate ways and DLC for Village but for next remake I actually don´t care but hope some time in the future they will remake RE1 in RE2/4R style
Apart from remakes, I´m really looking forward to RE9 and wondering if they continue in FPS or return back to TPS with it
I think there is no pressure to release DLC because Elden Ring was a huge success so no rush FS and release when you are ready.
I´m about 150hrs in now and fighting through Crumbling Farum Azula...just yesterday defeated Godskin Duo so still some boss fights ahead for main story to be finished plus saving Malenia fight after main story is completed. Until then, maybe DLC comes out
still Elden Ring! on my way to meet Malenia, Blade of Miquella...playing ER for more than 140h now made me want to start Bloodborne. During my first playthrough 3 years ago I missed some boss fights and the other endings so will now try to finish properly this time and I missed DLC too, that will be real challenge!!!
Today watching ManCity vs Liv, hope Liv will not lose at least
Elden Ring on ps5...on the way to Castle Sol to continue with Latenna's questline. Still a lot of bosses in front of me but really enjoying this incredible journey.
I´m still playing Elden Ring on ps5...my first game over 100hrs and to my surprise, enjoying it even more with time. During the week defeated Lord Rykard and on the way to Leyndell Royal Capital, following Ranni the Witch quest - currently stuck on boss Astel but will find a way for sure...have a nice weekend, gamers!
Happy 500 WAYP/Pushsquare!!! I like your polls too but WAYP is the best, imo.
I'll be playing absolutely incredible Elden Ring. About 70hrs in, making slow progress but at least there is any
I hope I will beat the game somehow at least until X-mas, many games waiting for me like AC Mirage, Callisto Protocol, Metro Exodus, Disco Elysium, plus want to buy Separate Ways for RE4, FF16 and Cyberpunk, but no idea when...I guess nice problem to have in regards to gaming
Wish you all nice weekend and lots of progress in games you're all playing!
this weekend was mainly about teambuilding trip with my colleagues but I'm going to return to Elden Ring tonight and explore new area in the game...this game is so addictive.
I took some days off from gaming due to my workload but returned back to it last night...still on Elden Ring and long time will be heading now to Raya Lucaria Academy, I'm really enjoying this masterpiece.
Also grabbed AC Mirage on day1, but will probably save it for X-mas holidays.
I was busy during the week and tired to play anything in the evenings, but today I hope to come back to Elden Ring and continue exploring Stormveil Castle.
Elden Ring. About 25 hours in, exploring first 3 main areas, levelling up slowly and just defeated first main boss Margit the other day so on progressing to Stormveil Castle. It's great experience so far, incredible how addictive FS games are in regards to exploration.
My top3 currently all ps4 games: Bloodborne - 84 hours Days Gone - 82 hours God of War - 81 hours
Best ps5 game at the moment is Demon's Souls - 60 hours...but I'm pretty sure Elden Ring which I'm playing currently will beat DS very soon
...and just wow on some numbers I could see here . it's incredible how much time invest some gamers to specific games. I'm only SP player and usually play the game just once and then move on to the next one
It was good...RE4 dlc is a highlight for me. Also pretty surprising that SM2 and Helldivers2 showed up, didn't expect it. Biggest let down personally is no update on Silent Hill 2 remake, I'd like to see some gameplay and release date

I'll be playing Separate Ways - it's great addition to base game and I really like Ada
I hope I will finish it this weekend and continue on reducing my backlog.

still Elden Ring! on my way to meet Malenia, Blade of Miquella...playing ER for more than 140h now made me want to start Bloodborne. During my first playthrough 3 years ago I missed some boss fights and the other endings so will now try to finish properly this time and I missed DLC too, that will be real challenge!!!
Today watching ManCity vs Liv, hope Liv will not lose at least
Have a great weekend ya'll!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 503
Elden Ring on ps5...on the way to Castle Sol to continue with Latenna's questline. Still a lot of bosses in front of me but really enjoying this incredible journey.
Have a nice weekend and happy gaming!
Re: Feature: Celebrating 10 Years of PS4 with Our Favourite Games
PS4 gen was great, so many high-quality games...my top3 would be:
1. Bloodborne
2. Ghost of Tsushima
3. God of War (2018)
Honorable mentions: Uncharted 4, Driveclub, LoU Part2, Days Gone
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 502
Re: Development of Elden Ring Expansion Shadow of the Erdtree 'Proceeding Smoothly'
I´m still far from finishing Elden Ring so take your time FromSoft
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 500
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 499
this weekend was mainly about teambuilding trip with my colleagues but I'm going to return to Elden Ring tonight and explore new area in the game...this game is so addictive.
Enjoy rest of a weekend, folks!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 498
I took some days off from gaming due to my workload but returned back to it last night...still on Elden Ring and long time will be heading now to Raya Lucaria Academy, I'm really enjoying this masterpiece.
Also grabbed AC Mirage on day1, but will probably save it for X-mas holidays.
Wish you all a great weekend!
Re: 8 PS Plus Extra Games for October Leaked Early
much better than last month imo, I will definitely give Disco Elysium a try
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for October 2023?
Solid month for me...interested in Callisto mainly , but will add Weird West into my library too
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 496
Elden Ring...what else?
I´m 37 hours in and only started exploring Liurnia of the Lakes area. Love this open world - so addictive and fun.
And today of course a little of PL, looking foward to Tottenham - Liverpool match.
Happy gaming and enjoy the weekend!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 495
I was busy during the week and tired to play anything in the evenings, but today I hope to come back to Elden Ring and continue exploring Stormveil Castle.
Enjoy the weekend!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 494
Elden Ring. About 25 hours in, exploring first 3 main areas, levelling up slowly and just defeated first main boss Margit the other day so on progressing to Stormveil Castle. It's great experience so far, incredible how addictive FS games are in regards to exploration.
Happy gaming gamers!
Re: Secret PS5 Firmware Update Feature Spotlights Your Wall of Shame
My top3 currently all ps4 games:
Bloodborne - 84 hours
Days Gone - 82 hours
God of War - 81 hours
Best ps5 game at the moment is Demon's Souls - 60 hours...but I'm pretty sure Elden Ring which I'm playing currently will beat DS very soon
...and just wow on some numbers I could see here . it's incredible how much time invest some gamers to specific games. I'm only SP player and usually play the game just once and then move on to the next one
Re: Poll: Was Sony's Latest State of Play Worth the Wait?
It was good...RE4 dlc is a highlight for me. Also pretty surprising that SM2 and Helldivers2 showed up, didn't expect it. Biggest let down personally is no update on Silent Hill 2 remake, I'd like to see some gameplay and release date
Re: Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways DLC Is All About Ada Wong, Out Next Week
great! RE4 remake is my personal GOTY so far
