Re: Mark Cerny Has a Knack for Answering Your PS4 Questions

Grockumus

This is going to sound rather bizarre for some, but that article picture is going to become one of the backgrounds in my PS Vita.
That's right, a Mark Cerny staring deep into your soul... with the "PS4 Link" app icon to the middle far right side of the screen. Admit it, it's an awesome idea

Re: Sony: PS4 Demand Surged Following Xbox One's Delay

@Sanquine My Sony Reader Daily Edition (prs-950sc) pretty much became a collectors item because Sony hasn't really bothered competing much with the likes of Kindle, Nook, etc. Kinda sad, because it was such an awesome Xmas present a few years back and used it for a lot of college reading. The biggest issue with it was the price. Quality product, but the alternatives were so much cheaper.

Re: Wow, Sony Shares Everything You Could Ever Want to Know About PS4

Grockumus

@benrawr Hopefully with 4K TVs already coming out, 3D ones will become much more affordable. I got one of those SimulView 3D Displays when they were on sale at Best Buy for $200 (they were originally $500!). They even threw in an extra pair of 3D glasses for free! The sound quality on it sucks, but I always use my Pulse Headset instead when playing PS3 (sound quality on those Pulse headsets are AMAZING!).

Re: Want to Listen to Music on PS4? You're Going to Need Music Unlimited

Grockumus

I remember getting a year's worth of Music Unlimited almost a year ago for really cheap from some PS Plus deal (it's probably going to expire in a month or two). I used it for a party once, and mainly used it on my Vita after finding out there was a way to play it in Offline mode. Other than that, I'll probably just listen to music from my computer if worst came to worst, and didn't feel like getting another year of Music Unlimited.
When I first heard the weird news about the lack of CD support on PS4, I had a VERY strong feeling it was to push Music Unlimited in the long run...
Anyways, PRE-ORDER KEPT REGARDLESS!

The Camera:

  • has a REALLY long cable
  • comes with a stand so I don't have to hunt for a stupid 3rd party one

Yup... pre-ordered this just a few minutes after seeing the things above. I just really REALLY hope developers actually make stuff for it! The lack of Move support in PS3 lately has been rather annoying (as in games that "Require" the Move, not just make it "Compatible" as some lame after thought).

@10:55 He randomly showed the Keypad off. I feel like the only one that uses mine regularly. I can't stand using the on-screen keyboard! Heck, I even know all the orange and blue "shift"-like button inputs by heart on that keypad.

Re: PS4 Firmware Update v1.50 Prepares You for the Next Generation

@Madd_Hatter401
I thought I was the only one! When I first open a new game, I crack open the case, and just take a big whiff of the inside! (the smell varies depending on whether or not there's an instruction manual inside)
@dudeware
UGH! I was REALLY looking forward to that feature as well! I love how the Vita has it, and I don't have to keep turning it off completely every time I set it down to take a break.

Re: Sony Switching Off PS3 Blu-ray Remote Support on PS4

Grockumus

I remember getting one of these specifically for my 23in SimulView TV so I wouldn't have to keep getting up to turn 3D on, or adjust the volume. As long as it still works with that TV, I wouldn't mind it being incompatible with the PS4, because it's understandable why (Start and Select buttons, etc).
@Lelouch If the PS4 didn't work the the Pulse headset, there WOULD be a problem! =p

Re: Nolan North: PS4 Is Amazing, Is Going to Push Boundaries

Grockumus

@Paranoimia Also take into consideration that they brought Jak and Daxter into the next gen with the HD remake, and also that this generation, Naughty Dog has Uncharted and The Last of Us. If they made two different games like that for the same generation, they might as well just make Uncharted 4 on PS4 (or even crazier; make it for PS3, Vita, and PS4). It'd make way more sense to just keep it on PS4, if they do make Uncharted 4.

Re: You'll Only Need Four DualShock 4 Controllers for Your PS4

Grockumus

Even with PS3, there are only 3 games I can think of that actually used the 7 player local limit: Bomberman Ultra, Hamster Ball (only for one game mode), and Cubixx HD.
I've tried so many times to get AT LEAST a 4 player game of Cubixx HD going, but it's really hard getting that many friends together nowadays. Oh well, I guess PS4's 4 controller limit is fine with me. If, like everyone's suggesting, there might be some crazy combinations going like 4 DualShock 4/Move controllers/ Vita(s) going on for some games.

Re: Wait, the PS4's Camera Will Enable Navigational Voice Commands?

Grockumus

@ObviouslyAdachi I wish the Maps app at least had a voice navigator, like a GPS. Works perfectly (if you get the 3G Data plan) when driving around. It even knows the exact direction you're facing too.
I think the Vita could easily get voice recognition, it would just have to be open in it's own app or something.
