It’s only natural that the prospect of a new Naughty Dog game would inspire rumours and speculation. One such rumour currently orbiting the Internet is that the lauded developer’s next game may be set in outer space.
The recent news that several Naughty Dog employees visited Elon Musk’s private aerospace company SpaceX only gave more gravity to this tantalising piece of hearsay.
However, it seems that this particular rumour is utterly weightless. A recent Twitter post from Naughty Dog co-president, and official crusher of dreams, Christophe Balestra stated: “Visiting SpaceX. And no, we’re not making a game that takes place in space. We just got invited because we’re cool.”
Bummer.
Were you looking forward to Naughty Dog boldly exploring the infinite frontier? Did you expect its intergalactic experience to be out of this world? Blast off in the comments section below.

YEH glad of that really, they have utterly brilliant game artists and designers that whatever they will do will be Orgasmic )
too... many... space... puns... cant... go... on...
Just do whatever Naughty Dog, anything you touch will be GOLD!!
I never wanted them to go sci fi. I am the one who hated mass effect with passion.
A WRPG pls...Sony first parties is weak in that area too...
I really DO enjoy scifi, as long as it is somewhat grounded on relatable science and technology, that said I don't care what Naughty Dog is making because I am sure it will be good!
Doesn't mean it won't inspire them somehow

@Shellybird27 I do kinda get his point. I just couldn't get in to Mass Effect either.
