Re: GamesCom 2013: PS4 Release Plans Will Be Shared in Germany

Grockumus

@Lelouch Yeah, exactly. Appetizers must be served a good time before the main course meal BOOM! (there, now I'm starting to sound just like Mr. Champloo from Disgaea 3). Although it would be amazing to see all of that stuff you listed being announced all at Gamescom, it really wouldn't be a good strategy to do so, since it t would take too much time to "digest" all of the news at once, and some would even be forgotten.

Re: Sounds Like Sony May Be Taking the TV, TV, TV Track, Too

Grockumus

Geez, it's like Microsoft COMPLETELY forgot about that huge division of Sony that's been around for many years: Sony Pictures Entertainment.
No matter what, Microsoft is automatically playing "catch-up" with Sony in the TV/Movies department. I'm sorry, but a Halo TV series and dumping millions into NFL isn't going to be enough to even really compete against what Sony already has.

Re: Reaction: Xbox One Delay Leaves the Door Ajar for PS4

@Visiblemode
Short a few feathers, indeed. Besides, from the looks of it, PS4 came into the picture WELL prepared. Xbox One, on the other hand, seemed more like someone in the middle of the night having an air horn blown into their ear, stumbling around half awake, rushing around and finding their clothes just to get dressed.

Re: Review: Spartacus Legends (PlayStation Network)

Grockumus

I absolutely loved Spartacus on Starz, so I just had to play this game! Even though Spartacus has ended, this game did satisfy the absence of the show for me. The cheesy looking combat of the game matched the show perfectly

I was going to place a random quote from the show here, but it's most likely going to be full of profanities.

Re: By the Nine! The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Voted Game of the Generation on Amazon

@Lelouch
Sports Champions was such an amazing game to me. Disc Golf and Table Tennis were pretty much my favorites simply because of how spot-on they were to the real thing. Gladiator Duel was probably the most fun (especially on splitscreen competitive with some friends).
Sports Champions 2, on the other hand... [massive facepalm] c'mon! There's already tons of Golf, Bowling, and Tennis games for the Move already, Boxing was horrible compared to The Fight: Lights Out, and Archery was dumbed down a lot from the first game. I think Skiing was the only "neat" idea on there, but I personally can't stand racing games all that much. Oh, and the character customization was butt-ugly.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Intend to Buy the PS4's Camera?

Grockumus

@Stuffgamer1
Haha, yeah, it would be pretty silly with both people wearing 3D glasses, completely "overlooked" that
I hope Sony shows a TON of new content for the camera right before launch that will change people's minds. PS Move was not supported well enough to begin with. I guess we can only hope, though. Sony's got quite a lot of stuff to worry about as it is, with so many bases to cover (Vita, PS3, the PS4 itself, etc)

Re: Sony Wants You to Be Able to Store 300GB of Data on a Disc

Grockumus

@Subie98 3D is very much one of those "you either LOVE it or you HATE it" kinda deals. For some people it makes them sick, while others it's a rather enjoyable experience (for me at least).
I know one thing for certain: Big Boss from Metal Gear Solid would never be able to enjoy 3D =p

Re: Real Boxing Steps into the PS Vita Arena on 27th August

Grockumus

@chazaroonie
Yeah, the Sharpshooter rules. It's crappy that so few games utilized it (I think only that one SOCOM game used the 1-2-3 switch on the side). It'd be neat if Killzone: Shadow Fall decided to implement it later on, since the PS4 is gonna be able to use Move controllers. Just keep the DualShock 4 nearby if you just HAVE to press that Share button =p

Re: Settle Down for PlayStation Story Time with Mark Cerny

Grockumus

@rastamadeus Not to sound like a complete bleed heart, but judging by JUST appearance alone is a horrible way to evaluate a person's true character. Besides, he's accomplished quite a lot in his life (more than most of us can brag of, I'm sure), and that is what I find admirable.

Re: Settle Down for PlayStation Story Time with Mark Cerny

Grockumus

@Zetrayrus
He seems to be quite an amazing guy. I wish I knew more about him a long time ago. Every time I hear about this guy, not only do I learn of more of his amazing feats, but I learn some really interesting things about the video game industry in general. He has an awesome way of "telling it how it is", as well as being honest and straightforward.

Re: Sony Tells GameStop to Open the Floodgates on PS4 Pre-orders

Grockumus

@ViciousDS
Definitely agree with you there. I've went to a few Gamestops where they were BLATANT Xbots. For example. I came to one to get Sly 4, and I think the guy said something like "I'm waiting for Gears of War: Judgment myself."
I mean, wtf kind of remark is that?! In NO WAY are those games alike! Then he checked behind the counter where they keep the actual copies and told me that they didn't have any more copies of Sly 4. I said something like, "Well, looks like it's a high seller." Never came back to that one, at least. I think it's been well over a year I've ever went back to a Gamestop because I have to constantly deal with their fanboy crap. Aren't you suppose to be unbiased working in a store that sells all platforms?
