PlayStation Home

If you’re a proponent of digital avatar dancing you may want to apply a moody expression to your PlayStation Home protagonist, as Sony has announced that it’s to stop updating the virtual world in Japan from September. While you’ll still be able to access the online application for the time being, there’ll be no new costumes for you to wear or locations for you to visit. The content rollout will end in March in other Asian territories.

The platform holder assures that it will continue updating the European and North American worlds for the foreseeable future, but this sounds like the beginning of the end to us. The big question is: will the manufacturer eventually turn its attention to a new PlayStation 4 version of the online sandbox, or give up on the idea entirely? What do you reckon?
