Re: Poll: Will You Be Buying Red Dead Redemption on PS4?

F1at8mot0

I played it once and loved it and that’s all i need from it. And no matter how many times I’ve tried, I find RDR2 to impenetrable. I’ve tried to play it three times now. Every very time I get to my camp where the game actually opens up I just can’t be bothered.

This weekend I picked up F.E.A.R. On the PS3. I’m into it about four hours now and I’m quite enjoying it. For an early PS3 game the AI is really fun to fight. And on PS5 I’m working my way through Killzone Shadow Fall. I’m having a good time with that as well. I guess i was was in a shorter mood. And when I need a break I play a few rounds of MK11. Have a great weekend!

Re: Poll: Was This Sony's Best PlayStation Showcase Yet?

F1at8mot0

This is why i just play what ever feels like fun and on what ever platform. I’ve been gaming for so long that almost nothing they put out on any platform is truly surprising and particularly interesting. But when I do finally pick up a lot of games i find them enjoyable. But that’s due to having no expectations for any of it. Keep gaming and remember that it’s a fun hobby and not what defines our life. Keep gaming!! It will all be ok.

On Xbox I’m still working my way through Hi-Fi Rush. It’s still great. I’m also starting another play through of Enslaved Odyssey to the West. On PS5 I’m jumping between H Burning Shores and WRC Generations. And on Switch when I need something completely different I hop into Slay the Spire. Have a great weekend!

I finally decided to go back to Horizon Forbidden West. Id played It for about fifteen hours and it just wasn’t clicking w me. This time for some reason it clicked and I’m now 56 hours in and it’s all I want to do. I even play a good amount on my phone with my Backbone Controller with remote play. It’s finally hitting me like the first one did and the story is really getting interesting. Glad I gave it a second chance. Have a great weekend everyone!

Re: 60 Most Anticipated PS5, PS4 Games of 2023

F1at8mot0

@astro911 I miss the PS3 sony as well. Sony is a lot more fun when they are behind. At least third parties look to bring it this year. I didn’t like Forbidden west. I was not a big fan of TLOU2. And GT7 is the most boring GT ive played. And i have no interest in GOW Ragnarok. Soider-man 2 looks ok but I just can’t be bothered to be excited about. But over on the Xbox its even worse. I think it just the age of gaming we live in. I find myself doing a lot more retro gaming these days. Being 43 I find that i realy need games to be more than just pretty graphics and story. I want to “play“ games.

Re: Best PS Vita Games

F1at8mot0

I played a lot of Vita. But looking over this list and having played pretty much all of these games on this list, I have to say the Vita has the weekest library of all the PlayStation consoles/handhelds. Its not without some good stuff, but overall compared to PS1-5 and the PSP, it doesn’t even come close. It could’ve been something really cool. But Sony really didn’t give it a chance.

I put down Gotham Knights for a bit. Ill jump back in as i feel like it. Its fun but onky in short bursts. I’m now realky getting unti Deathloop. I never gave that game a chance when it came out. Now that I’m actually in it i really like it! Nice change of pace. Also dipped back into GT7 with the new update. Have a great weekend!

Re: Best Racing Games on PS5

F1at8mot0

I’ve played every one of these for many hours and I guess i would say GT7 is in the right spot. I find myself getting board with it really quickly. But it is good. I had a ton of fun with Dirt 5, WRC 9 and F1 ‘21. As fun as all of these can be. They just lack something that I cant quite explain. I had more fun with Drive Club on PS4 last gen than ive had with any of these. The last GT game I truly loved was 5 on PS3. And I can still go back to Ridge Racer Type 4 on PS1 and have as much fun or more than with any of these. I think Im just old.

On Series X I started a second play through of the Halo Infinite campaign the other day. That game feels so good to play. I’ll also probably get in a few matches online. On PS5 im working my way through Gotham Knights. Its a fun game to dip in and out of and i find it a nice relaxing game thats not too complicated or systems heavy. Have a great weekend!

This weekend I finally got around to finishing the Iki Island DLC for Ghost of Tsushima. It took me way to long to get to it. But it was very good! Now back to working my way through Ollie Ollie World, such a fun pick up and play game for short sessions. On Series X I’m working my way through Forza Horizon 3. As of now i like it much better than 4 and 5. Have a great weekend!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 444

F1at8mot0

This week and this weekend its been Ollie Ollie world. I loved the first two and played them to death. Its fun to jump back into those mechanics. I also downloaded Dead Cells off PS+. I had a really long run with that game on Switch. But this time I’ll get to grab some torohies along the way. And when I need a break from those, I’ll hop back into GT7 for some grinding and podcast listening. Have a great weekend!

Re: Poll: Did You Buy The Last of Us: Part I?

F1at8mot0

I played it on the PS3 the day it was released in 2013. And then My PS4 came with the remaster when I bought one in 2015. I just dont feel the need to go through that story again on PS5. But im glad those who have never played it get a chance to experience it in such high quality.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 440

Finally picked back up Miles Morales. I out it down awhile ago for whatever reason. Im back in now and loving it. Im about 65% through at the moment. I also picked up Rollerdrome. Its fun but I’m tired of it. Im not sure ill go back to it. But the real star is Wave Race 64 on Switch Online. Its one of my favorite games of all time. And its still just as fun as it was in 1996! Have a great weekend everyone!

Re: Video: Top 10 PS5 Platinums for Beginners

F1at8mot0

I can see how those would be ok to go for. I only have three Platinum trophies. The Walking Dead, Horizon Zero Dawn and Astro’s Playroom. Who knows if i ever go for any more. But we will see. Maybe Miles Morales could be a good fourth one. But i dont really care about platinums im more concerned with trophy level.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 438

Ive been picking at Bright Memory Infinite. I like it! Its a fun silly shooter with some arcady powers. Its an actual video game that would have felt at home on PS3. Im also dipping in and out of my carrer in WRC 9. This last week I also finally went through and used the in system guides and finished up the Platinum for Astros Playroom. Still think its the best PS5 game. Over on Series X I’ve been having fun with Lonely Mountain Downhill. And playing through Gears of War Judgement for the first time. Its been a fun week and weekend of some chill gaming. Have a great weekend!

Re: Sony to Take Action as PS5, PS4 Owners Play Less Than Anticipated

F1at8mot0

Ive started pretty Horizon Forbidden west, Miles Morales, Returnal, Gran Turismo 7, and several other PS5 games since I oicked one up in February of this year. And ive not finished any of them. They’ve all been disappointing. Im not sure what im looking for on this new machine but what I’ve played so far has not impressed. The one saving grace of the PS5 was Astros Playroom. That was charming and colorfull and just super fun! I hope it gets better from here. But to be fare everything i got the Xbox Series X for (Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, Game Pass) has all heen a let down as well. So I guess it might just be early days, but this generation has not been what i hoped it would be.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 435

F1at8mot0

I tried Reternal this week. I gave it a few hours but that game is definitely not for me. So I decided to jump into Astro’s Playroom. I started it up once when I first got my PS5 and moved on to other things. But this time it was exactly what I was looking for and I found everything and finished it in two sittings. It’s now my favorite thing I’ve played on the PS5. It’s pure joy in video game form. Have a great weekend!

Re: Reaction: We Need to Talk About PS Plus Premium

F1at8mot0

So far it’s a little rough. I’ve played a few things but only for a few minutes each. I payed for the too premium level for a year. But after it’s up I’m going to go back down to the base level just to get the free games a online play. I already have game pass and I find that I don’t use that enough either. I have a problem being paralyzed by choice. I do better when I buy the games that I’m interested in as they come out or go on sale. Maybe if it gets better down the road I will feel differently but as of now. It’s not great.
