Re: Why Hasn't Sony Done Anything with Bloodborne? Shuhei Yoshida Has a Theory

I played Elden Ring first, loved it, and then played DS3 and Bloodborne and found both inferior in many respects (respawn points were particularly tedious and annoying....felt like 10% of the game was walking back to the place I died. Elden Ring was a huge improvement in this regards). I get the love but agree with some comments above about way less mass appeal outside the enthusiastic fan base.

"Wish me luck. It’s my first FromSoftware game"

It was my first too and still remains the best game after several years of catching up on top tier titles. I also went back and tried Sekiro (too hard) and Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne that I found inferior to Elden Ring primarily from the extremely annoying respawn points when you die (felt like 10% of gameplay was walking back to the area where I died).

Never forget losses are just as essential as profits in a free-market since market efficiency stems from its capacity to reward success and penalize failure, creating incentives for improvement and innovation (the famous economist Joseph Schumpeter referred to this profit and LOSS process as "creative destruction"). That is my positive spin.
