Re: God of War Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7 PS4 Versions Confirmed

Denni5m

So last gen game engines for both, I knew when I saw the GT7 trailer that it looked like the GT sport engine with better reflections. This is disappointing GT is normally a show piece for the console when it eventually comes out each gen, this time we will look at it and be, meh.
They haven't released a full game since GT6 on PS3 and this is the best they could do?. Gt sport eventually got there with content after a couple years but it's not a full game still in my mind. The single player side was worse than asetto corsa ( a game that gets shunned for how shallow the single player experience is) .
Sony really give Yamauchi way too much freedom to do whatever he wants, no other studio would be allowed to take up to 6 years in some iterations between game releases of a pre-existing franchise. For instance if codemasters were making this game to the same level of detail and quality it would be out every 2 years.

Re: Talking Point: Did Sony Lie About PS5?

Denni5m

We as long as their cross gen games look like current gen games in ps5 then I don't see a issue, i highly doubt this will be the case on those games though. Its already apparent on the new horizon game, that looks pretty much like the PC version of zero dawn that was released last year. So we can already see it's held back that game most likely, but more likely that these games that are being rushed out the door or made on old engines are ripe for the PS4 picking.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Crash Rates Charted in Official CDPR Graph

Denni5m

I played it on a high end pc and even with no visual issues and good frame rate, the game is just too shallow and I didn't even get 20 hours in before abandoning it. There is really no sense of exploration you just go from one story mission to the next and everything is the same in between. Thats the real crime with this game, it should have been such an easy setting for them to smash this out the park with interesting weapons, skills, gameplay loops and mini games. But instead it's all just very meh... 7/10 game even when working fine.

Re: Aloy Trends As Fans Discuss Horizon Forbidden West Hero

Denni5m

More important is that the game looks like the PC version of zero dawn on ultra settings, it's not really next gen, That said the game looks great still.
About the model:
Haha the fan version looks ugly.
And I think all this sjw bs has to stop, and we need to stop feeding it.
For this particular game this character fits the world perfectly, in my view she is a hard ass archer/hunter and this is what I expect this kind of person would look like. Its not like she would be a petite girl with clothes that show off her assets.
But I get the point it comes accross like they made her slightly fatter just to appease the sjw crew which is most probably a more accurate reason as to why she gained some weight. Because I don't think Normally a studio would change the main character appearance like that.

Re: Bethesda Title Dishonored 2 Leaving PS Now on 1st June

Denni5m

@palmab I never use kB and nouse you can use a Xbox controller on PC, windows 10 on a powerful PC isn't like xp and the old days, it's pretty much a Xbox but with much better graphics generally for every game. Also you need to learn to read, I did say I prefer playing on PS5...

Re: Bethesda Title Dishonored 2 Leaving PS Now on 1st June

Denni5m

This is why I have a PC, anygame I miss on PS I get on PC. Dishourned 2 has been on PC gamepass for over a year. You are going to need a Xbox or PC more and more in the next couple of years as this war heats up games will start coming out on team green or blue only instead of both like they do which means we all lose in the end. Personally I would rather play a game on ps5 over my PC even though the graphics are usually worse just for the better control and lack of crashes and other annoyances.

Re: Sony on Upcoming PS5 Games: Wait Until You See What's Coming from Our Third-Party Partners

Denni5m

Im not impressed so far, in terms of next gen quality games all we have had so far is basically a DLC (spider man) and a remake (demon's souls). Returnal is too expensive for a game im not that in to, and I refuse to pay more than $100 aud for a game out of principal especially on a Sony console (massive user count and therefore sales). The rest have been on PC as well or PS4 already like Yakuza and watch dogs, Valhalla etc...
I don't understand how you can be impressed by essentially 3 big games in almost 9 months, I'm having a hard time finding anything decent to play that is not on PS4 as well. If we take off the fan boy hats (of which I have a big one for ps5 don't get me wrong) then you seriously can't sit here and tell me you aren't in the same boat as me in this regard? If so what are you playing lol?
At least it's even worse on team green side at the moment as well, I haven't even bothered buying one yet as everything is on PC anyway.

Re: Days Gone Refuels with Nearly Half an Hour of PC Gameplay

Denni5m

@Scoobijohn yeah it's a bit weird sometimes but I didn't even think twice about it because I never properly read a review before playing the game. I think he is just got a death wish because he does it when you are trying to be stealthy. When I played I thought he was just a crazy bad ass with a death wish and it suited the game lol.

Re: Days Gone Refuels with Nearly Half an Hour of PC Gameplay

Denni5m

@Scoobijohn I think this thing about deacon talking to himself not feeling real just came from IGN or something, and a snot nosed young journalist bagging it out as he has never truly been angry at the world like Deacon is. If your fiancee was split from you and the world turned to ***** you would be ranting like that as well, at least I would.
The game is great, it's made for a more mature audience like death stranding which is why we get this polarised view on it, the young action junkies don't like it.

Re: Judgment (PS5) - A Truly Gripping Detective Thriller, and One of the Best Yakuza Games

Denni5m

@_seneka
Like a dragon looks much better as it was made for current gen PCs running 3070, 3080s (RT reflections for instance), by the looks of it to me for this "remaster" of Judgement they just added some higher graphics settings for ps5 because the they had to scale it back to run well for PS4 anyway when they released it. I don't think they went back and produced anything new for this, looks like everything was there already but they just stripped it back a bit before for performance. Not saying it's not worth it if you hadn't caught it on PS4 but there isn't much here for us that already own it. And to try and charge us again for it is pretty harsh.

Re: Oddworld: Soulstorm (PS5) - A Tough Game to Love

Denni5m

Great review! I agree let's stop rewarding Devs for crappy remakes and rehashes. Games this clunky don't belong in 2021!
I never understood the appeal of these games, part one back in the day was ok but not great, and every game after it hasn't been as good as the first. It's a bad sign when a game is included on PS plus on day one as they must have known it was trashy and would score low.

Re: Sony Wins Many BAFTA Awards, But Hades Takes Game of the Year

Denni5m

Never even heard of Hades, it looks like an indie from those pics. For me the best game of 2020 was "Like a Dragon" or ff7 remake. All these games in the list made for casual gamers like tlou2 getting awards is annoying to me, that particular game had one of the most shallow skill trees and gameplay depth of all the games I played last year. Sure it had awesome production and was very slick but the core gameplay was boring it was like playing a graphical novel after a few hours and the freshness wore off, how something like that gets such high praise is a sign of how shallow these awards and the people dishing them out are.

Re: Over Half of Players Completed Ghost of Tsushima's Campaign

Denni5m

I lost interest after the second half the map opened up, I had taken my time and I was way over powered all ready by then and the missions just became repeative at that point. There was nothing gameplay wise to pull me through the rest of the game, if I was to carry on it was only for the story and by that point it was just a bit meh. Great game while the new car smell was around but after that it just got too repeative. It needed some more weapons customisation and deeper RPG elements.
Looking forward to the next one if they expand on everything. If they followed Nioh and had the same polish as this and as well as all of Nioh's awesome depth of loot and customisation it would be a perfect game.
