I just want a go-kart to collect trash, play the real estate market, meet beautiful ladies and kick some ass without hearing “so itchy” every 5 minutes.
Seems to be a generation gap with this one. As a Gen X I find this stuff hilarious and fun to play. Of course we grew up with C64, so games pushing the PC envelope are refreshing.
Played this on C64 or my first PC, was 30 years ago so I don’t remember. It was part of the many puzzle games that came out like Phantasmagoria, Blown Away, to name a few. Such insidious puzzles with no internet to look up hints, fun times.
@NotSoCryptic Bigger world, synergies with every character that can each be leveled up, materia search. The giant explorable areas that give the player the ability to ignore the plot. It’s a FF game, there’s always a grind.
Playing a little of CP now, can see why it didn’t agree. MC has the personality of a brick and walks like a robot. The robots remind me of the one from Black Hole, the evil one.
Gen Zero was an ok game with you vs never ending robots in the hills of an archipelago off of Sweden. Why a kid with zero experience survived when nobody else did is a real head scratcher. Good game, too big of a map and unnecessary added mechanics.
Saints Row is a nice reboot with some questionable progression and a mostly boring map. Very few vehicles to play with only 1 or 2 air/sea things. It’s fun to a point, and misses a lot on the comical that made the others fun.
The MMO I didn’t touch, Extra is enough without another subscription game.
@Darylb88 Did that, the maelstrom boss in the prologue really packs a punch now. The driving is even worse, the NCPD, while being everywhere, are still a pain.

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Player Finds Unconventional Way To Free Roam as Venom
Same movement and attacks of prototype.
Re: The Last of Us 2 Remastered's Bonus Levels Incorporated into TV Series
It makes sense. Tv needs that touchy/feely aspect while the game didn’t need that added baggage.
Re: The Last of Us 2 PS5 Remaster's Anxiety-Inducing Lost Levels Revealed
The sewers. A dark, moist environment perfectly suited to molds, fungus and spores. What fun.
Re: Oh No! Ubisoft Appears to Be Testing In-Game Ads in Old Assassin's Creed Titles
Anarchy Online did this to go FTP. Although it was mostly just limited to monitors in game, it also blended in enough to be safely ignored.
This updated version would be better served as a banner or a splash page at title (DL2 does this).
Re: Players Point Out Destiny 2's New Crossover Cosmetics Probably Cost More Than The Witcher 3 and All Its DLC
Probably will end when the Sony Digital lawsuit gets going.
Re: The Last of Us 2 PS5 Remaster's Roguelike Mode Reportedly Comprises 12 Levels
I’d go with 12 different environments rather than levels.
Re: Forget Kong, GameMill's The Walking Dead: Destinies Could Be Amongst 2023's Worst
The only positive is the “What if?” Storyline. Oh and shooting someone in the face 20 times with a shotgun, to no effect.
Re: Magical PS5 FPS Immortals of Aveum Is Probably Coming to PS Plus at Some Point
Expect this, the other desert/magic title (for something), Gollum, and good ole Superman 64.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for November 2023?
Always nice to see how quickly I can lose at Nobunaga’s Ambition.

@Jireland92 In this scene we need you to mercilessly beat this old man..
Re: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth ESRB Rating Teases Swearing, Alcohol, Impalement
All I want is to impale a Marlboro. A nice Flare, and we got a vegetarian delight.

How will Dragon Age ever top BG3 with the romance of characters?

Re: Konami Is Creating a New Silent Hill Production Team
I’m going to hold my breath. Then I’m going to get into my air car and goto my job at the 10 star resort where I do nothing. Konami is a pipe dream.
Re: PS5, PS4's Monthly Active Users Is Increasing
That’s a lot of PS plus users.

Re: Assassin's Creed Mirage Patch 1.0.5 Finally Adds Option to Disable Chromatic Aberration
Depends on game, film grain tends to work better in samurai games where the environment works with it.
Re: All PS Plus Members Handed a Movie Discount on Sony Pictures Core
Why bother? It’ll all be on some streaming platform in a few months or on YouTube after a year.
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for November 2023 Announced
4/10, and 2 6/10 games. Hard pass, pitiful choice.
Re: Still Wakes the Deep Is Dripping with Atmosphere in New Gameplay Trailer
Hopefully something other than the Rapture where, memories and anomalies are the mystery. Looks like a more horror based walking simulator.
Re: What the **** Is This Insane Animal Crossing-Style Game in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth?
What if all the mini games are this in-depth? Could be that you’re able to take an active part in the real estate business.
Re: Rumour: This Might Be Assassin's Creed Red's Main Character
So which character is this on Ubisoft’s anime Laserhawk?
Re: Skull Island: Rise of Kong Given Just a Single Year of Development
A one year development cycle is akin to ET for the 2600’s 8 week development cycle.
Re: Rewrite Fictional History in The Walking Dead: Destinies on PS5, PS4
I think it best to leave the team behind Kong out of the picture.
Re: 'Gollum-Like' King Kong Game Is Getting Torn to Shreds Online
Guessing that developer will soon be no more.
Re: Interview: Star Ocean The Second Story R Devs on Remaking an Underrated PS1, PSP RPG
Just make the text bigger. That’s it, text size matters. I’m too old to squint.

The grind is strong with this one.
Re: Roblox Is Already Tangling with Call of Duty, Fortnite as the Most Played Game on PS5, PS4
Made the news in Philly, as a predator successfully met an underaged kid via Roblox. He was arrested. Never tried it, had Lincoln logs as a kid.
Re: Gollum May Not Be the Worst PS5, PS4 Game of the Year After All
Might need a new shovel for this, and a deep hole.

Can’t wait to find that one traffic light at a crossroads of alleyways.
Re: Rumour: Assassin's Creed Red Could Go Head to Head with Rise of the Ronin on PS5 in 2024
Red AC, Blue AC, One AC, Two AC.

Re: PS5 Game Empire of the Ants Will Be Riddled with Bugs
I’m too old. Saw the giant Anteater at the end and thought of the Pink Panther cartoon.
Re: Lords of the Fallen (PS5) - A Killer Mechanic Elevates This Average Souls-Like
Well the game better get some good updates soon or it’ll end up like this months 7/10, The Callisto Protocol, and be on Extra next year.

Still weirding my way through the west, had no idea the bounty hunter was part 1.

Re: 8 PS Plus Extra Games for October Leaked Early
Dead island was great with exploring and killing zombies without the parkour. Looking forward to that paradise again.
Re: Poll: How's Your Hype for Marvel's Spider-Man 2?
Nope. Zero interest. Not into playing super heroes.

I just want to know what happens if you get controller drift?
Re: The Last of Us Multiplayer Game Is 'Basically on Ice' Right Now
A murder-stealth simulator of PvP, yes, I could see how that would fail. Everyone stays hidden and the match goes on forever.

Playing a little of CP now, can see why it didn’t agree. MC has the personality of a brick and walks like a robot. The robots remind me of the one from Black Hole, the evil one.

Looks like Borderlands VR except without the loot and the world seems like Bioshock.
