Re: Don't Expect a Resident Evil Requiem Demo, Capcom Has 'No Plans'

Beerheadgamer82

@Moj500 RE was made on survival horror when ammo can be low surviving every corner and planning roots to sometimes save on ammo and health which ramped up the tension within itself and all the variation in enemy types and with the occasional puzzle. Something RE5, RE6 and RE8 lacks which actually started with the no scares actiony RE4, they're just no scares nonsense over the top checkpoint after checkpoint wave after wave action of mostly the same non scary enemies. Just my opinion on the RE mainline is all

Re: Don't Expect a Resident Evil Requiem Demo, Capcom Has 'No Plans'

Beerheadgamer82

@Moj500 I was originally on about if Requiem ends up like Village full of samey filler action with rarely any actual scary horror then it's not a day one for me personally. The quite scary Requiem gameplay footage we've seen with that tall big footed monster could just be an extremely small slice of the entirety of Requiem

Re: Don't Expect a Resident Evil Requiem Demo, Capcom Has 'No Plans'

Beerheadgamer82

@amatmulisha same here 7 was great scary fun throughout. The only best part of village was the doll house but sadly that's barely less than 3 or 4% of the entire game. Who knows tho Requiem might have loads of scary tense scares yet. Huge RE fan here still and can't wait to see what they do with the Zero and Code Veronica remakes

Re: Disappointment As Tekken 3 Is the Latest PS1 Classic to Launch without Trophies

Beerheadgamer82

It's nice having dedicated communities specifically for just trophies/achievements like on youtube and forums or something like playstationtrophies.org to help out with a certain trophy or overall platinum. It just adds a whole new layer to gaming as a whole for me. While many couldn't careless about trophies and obviously agree they're not required when looking at a games overall quality but on the opposite side there's also so many that adore a good trophy hunt. Hazard a guess there's been so many boosts to a certain games overall sales due to a well known really good fun put together platinum

Re: Disappointment As Tekken 3 Is the Latest PS1 Classic to Launch without Trophies

Beerheadgamer82

In 1995 or in 2005 for example don't mind not having trophies on my PS1 or my PS2 because obviously they simply didn't exist yet back then while I was enjoying the games. PS3 ,PS4 and PS5 all have trophy support tho. I dunno It just feels super ancient to me now that in 2025 releasing games on new consoles without trophies regardless of how old the game is is just super weird

Re: Disappointment As Tekken 3 Is the Latest PS1 Classic to Launch without Trophies

Beerheadgamer82

One of a few reasons went back to Essential after a couple years on Premium. Can buy RE1, RE2 and 3 on the store if or when trophies get added instead. Literally don't see the point in Premium at all imo. If every single Premium classics have to have trophies then it's a completely different story making Premium tier way more juicy. Can't be underestimating the power of trophies it's 2025

Re: Site News: Where's Our Days Gone Remastered PS5 Review?

Beerheadgamer82

@nomither6 it's certainly up there so far, cant argue with that much. Gen ain't over yet though with at least a few years left so who knows what's up their sleeves. It's a weird one when genuinely enjoyed my PS5 so much. Just think it could have been a far better gen so far without the gaas desicions and cancellations, money put elsewhere kinda thing instead

Re: Site News: Where's Our Days Gone Remastered PS5 Review?

Beerheadgamer82

Genuinely Days Gone again over those other two games mentioned all day long. Honestly and there's nothing wrong with this. Horde mode and horde in game alone is far better fun than what many other games will have to offer. Will always adore Days Gone and proud to say so regardless of whatever releases before it or after, that's irrelevant

Re: Forza Horizon 5 Will Require a Microsoft Account to Play on PS5, Raising Preservation Problems

Beerheadgamer82

Its a given game prices will be going up soon, physical won't be a thing down the road?, AAA taking longer and subscription costs will have another monthly and yearly increase again. Are these smaller inconvenient account requirements an issue, yes they are because it's part of painting the whole bigger picture of modern gaming frustrations. All the crap little annoying things in gaming add up on top of the bigger crapper things, like in game purchases. Many retro gamers ain't stuck in the past, they just don't give a s**t about all this online requirement bo****ks

Re: Forza Horizon 5 Will Require a Microsoft Account to Play on PS5, Raising Preservation Problems

Beerheadgamer82

It's annoying enough having to agree to those little terms and conditions in some games nevermind signing up to make accounts and s**t. We've already gone through all the install downloads and day one patches before we've booted up our new game. Just let gamers play the game.🙄

Wouldn't mind checking out FH5 heavily discounted at some point. Love all type of racing games but do get annoyed at the complete lack of sim type closed circuit racers like GT or Project Cars in comparison to the loads of arcade racers

Re: 'Don't Bet' on The Last of Us 3, Warns Neil Druckmann

Beerheadgamer82

There's definitely gonna be a part 3, there has to be right. Guessing if any big new story it'll be expanded on another tv season, which would be so lame if you ask me. Hopefully they've already got a part 3 game story all planned out but not working on it because of Intergalactic and are just teasing that part 3 ain't happening for when they actually reveal it in a few years from now for shock values after we were all expecting nothing for a part 3 ever again

Re: Monster Hunter Wilds Eclipses All Expectations on Launch Day

Beerheadgamer82

@Fishmasterflex96 yh I've come to realise this now, especially now they're doing Onimusha again, one of my fav series from the 00s. My brain forgot it and had a brain fart today. And just because MH or DD2 ain't my cup of tea doesn't mean Capcom aren't doing good things, they clearly are. Being a passionate RE fan I'm just disappointed to many times with the RE mainline, 5 , 6 and 8 truly underwhelmed me

Re: Monster Hunter Wilds Breaks Records within Hours of Releasing

Beerheadgamer82

Guessing Capcom are doing far better financially than what they were 10+ years ago and it's nice to see tbf but I'm not one on board with Capcom as much as everyone as seems to be. RE7 was very welcome return to form mainline wise and the RE2, 3 and 4 remakes are great even if 3 was on the disappointing side. Outside of that the rest of what Capcom have been doing is not for me and that's OK though as every game ain't gonna be for everyone. An actual scary RE9 thats nothing like Village and I'm back on board with the Capcom love again and also the Zero and Veronica remakes would be even better, and yh why not reboot Dino Crisis again, and while they're at it port the 90s Resident Evil classics to modern consoles instead of forever ignoring them, similar to how the classic Tomb Raiders recently have been

Edit. I keep forgetting Onimushas comeback what an idiot. Guess I am on board with Capcom afterall like nearly everyone else is. Silly me

Re: Despite Strong Criticism, Days Gone PS5 Is Climbing Up the PS Store Pre-Order Charts

Beerheadgamer82

Totally get some of the remaster and remake hate with some PS gamers. What I don't get is many 3rd party games don't always get the same hate for it, it's a weird one if you ask me. Take the The Witcher 3 remaster for example it's roughly the same age as the Horizon Zero Dawn remaster but W3 got zero backlash for being a remaster like HZD did as far as I'm aware, same with Days Gone being not far off the same age as Witcher 3 remaster too. Think the difference being PS doing so many remasters and not quite enough new 1st party or new sequels inbetween the occasional remaster, and this gaas thing hasn't helped much at all either

Re: Despite Strong Criticism, Days Gone PS5 Is Climbing Up the PS Store Pre-Order Charts

Beerheadgamer82

And honestly, we hope Days Gone gets a fairer shake of the stick from critics and fans alike this time, because it's a damn good game

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on this. Couldn't agree more. Was already a great game on release other than a few minor glitches here and there

Would I like that little bit more new single player 1st party from PS yes of course but it is what it is atm. All about the waiting game a bit more unfortunately. Expecting some 1st party bangers a little later on in the PS5's lifecycle?

Re: PS Plus Members Are Upgrading to Higher Tiers on PS5, PS4

Beerheadgamer82

Had Premium for 2 years, while it was nice and all for what it is, I was massively overwhelmed with where do I start or can I fit those games around the backlog and other PS Plus titles I'm currently playing, it was to much, not to mention the limited time we only get sometimes. I like to finish and platinum games too rather than jumping on so many all at once. There's not much tempting me back to upgrade from Essential atm but Jedi Survivor currently does quite a bit. Maybe if theres a Dino Crisis 1 and 2 and Resident Evil 90s trilogy 1, 2 and 3 all with trophy support I'd be back on Premium?

Re: Resident Evil 6 Appears Set for a PS5 Port

Beerheadgamer82

@Shigurui a classic collection of sorts of the 90s originals themselves. Didn't mention anything about the remakes. I get they've put a lot of love into the remakes these past half a dozen years and I've enjoyed the 1, 2, 3? and 4 remakes but I'm specifically on about the 90s originals being completely ignored. Next week we probably get another street fighter 2 turbo collection or something

Re: SEGA Is Pondering a PS Plus-Esque Subscription of Its Own

Beerheadgamer82

Nah I've had enough of subscriptions. PS Plus Essential does me perfectly fine these days. Enjoyed the couple years on Extra and Premium for what it has to offer but ultimately never have enough time to enjoy a majority of what's on offer when on Premium. PS Plus Essential offerings have some good months combined with a huge neverending purchased backlog of games seems to be a comfort spot rn and going forward. Adding more subs to that just makes things messy or rushing games just for the sake of quickly starting the next

Re: You Can Get Excited for The Game Awards, Says Reputable Journalist

Beerheadgamer82

Imagine if it's MGS6 and Kojima has been secretly working with Konami on and off occasionally for a while. Does sound almost impossible with OD and DS2 being worked on tho. If it's not 1st party TLoU3, doggies new IP or Insomniacs Wolverine then hope one of them is RE9 in a brand new scarier direction than what RE8Village went on
