Rumour: Gears of War Collection Will Be Revealed for PS5 This Summer

I almost had a heart attack over clickbait! ITS JUST A RUMOR! 😂

It's Rare Replay I'd love to own on PS5 the most, just for some of that sweet N64 nostalgia. Wouldn't mind enjoying the Gears series at some point but it's not really something near a top priority rn or going forward, rather wait for a huge bargain sale for it, if it were to make the leap over

Please please be true, outside of RDR Gears of War is my favorite Ip in gaming. I have waited so long to see this collection in Unreal engine 5. I still play Gears 5 and it looks better than most next gen games. Really hope Xbox and PS gamers get to battle online with PC. The multiplayer isn’t for the faint of heart. It is brutally hard. I have thousands of hours in it and am still not anywhere near as good as I’d like to be. The single player games stand alone as one of the best trilogy’s ever. Really hope this is the year we see this long rumored title. Makes sense as it will give newer players on Xbox and first timers on PS the story before GOW E-Day. Please be true!!

@nomither6 ...? Yes but it's probably happening, and it's being reported because the leaked has been correct before. It's a rumour because PushSquare can't independently verify it but definitely warrants reporting

I just want them to officially announce this. The original gears trilogy was my favourite series on the 360. Countless hours after school every day playing gears 2 grinding to the max level on multiplayer. Guardian game mode was superb. This will 100% be a day one purchase when it releases.

I've always thought about buying an Xbox to play these games so it's great news that it's coming to PS5! I actually own the original trilogy on 360 because the games were like 1 euro each, but never got the machine itself 😅

If the collection includes remakes of 2 and 3 (like what was done with 1), I will happily part with whatever sum of money they ask for!

I'll quite happily buy this day one..no hesitation as I love the gears games and we really need these on the ps5. Outside of evil west and space marine 2 I struggle to name any other games that come close to the gears series.

Great! Though, I need this to have a physical release in order to buy.

I hope this isn't a split collection but actually all of the gears games.

@Sarcasmatwork HAHHA right! Still my favorite game ever. Too bad Rockstar won’t throw us a 60 fps patch to make us RDR fans happy. Then again GTA 6 will be 30 fps on console and only 60 fps on PC when it releases.

Played them back when they came out. Great games.

If it has a remake/remaster of Gears 1 form the other 2 then I'll get it first remember playing split screen coop with with my friends on his 360 in Gears 1. It was absolutely awesome especially when doing the hardest difficulty I couldn't be bothered with online though I know a few friends who got the 10k kills achievement lol.

I got my own 360 and we both Gears 2 across Xbox Live again it was brilliant we just never got to do 3. Unfortunately time is thin with work and family not sure if I will be able to do it all again as my friend plays gotcha games

This will literally print money. The sheer novelty alone makes people buy it. Hopefully it's on disc.

If it is on the UE5 engine I would literally give my kidney to play these on PS5.

Didn't Epic show the first game running on the PS3 way back when?

It's interesting to see how Epic has evolved from then to now.

Day one for me, gears 1 & 2 are my most favorite games on xbox 360 back then, and I never played gears 3 since I'm back to playstation (3) ecosystem back then 😃

I wonder how long we will have to wait until E-day comes to PS5...

Gears of war is the only reason I had an Xbox years ago so I'm definitely down to replay them on PlayStation... IF rumours are true 😅

I missed out on the third game, so I would love to revisit the series as the first two were some of my favourite games on the 360.

I would buy it day one on ps5 if it wouldn't be on game pass

@HonestHick RDR2 is my all time favorite game as well. I recently started another play through. Been a couple years since I played it last. Figured it was time.

This game was the entire reason I got an Xbox 360 at the time, and stuck with it through 3 of them RROD'ing.. one of my all time favourite game franchises. Definite physical copy buy for me or may put it on my Christmas list. It is the game I miss the most having gone from Xbox to Sony.

I’d rather have Lost Odyssey on PS more than Gears though, Microsoft should actually keep some games exclusive to the Xbox to get people to actually buy an Xbox

If there is a physical edition then I'll buy it, if only just to look at it knowing I never thought the day would come when Xbox killed itself. Already have them on Xbox but I assume that whole ecosystem will no longer be operating in 10 years so I suppose it's time to rebuild my catalog.

if this is really true, then I´ll be there day1 but only if there will be physical release this time around...I strongly believe that to release FH5 digital only is a big mistake

Does this mean we'll get:

• Collection 1 (Gears 1-3)
• Collection 2 (Judgment, 4,5)

Hopefully Sony will have fixed trophies on game collections by then to allow platinums for each entry.

Otherwise I'll play the PS4 versions.

The trilogy is all I want and I'll be playing day one when it inevitably arrives.

Regardless of your opinion on Microsoft and Sony and any console allegiance, I think it's very clear to see that Xbox are going to make and absolutely ***** ton of money over the next few years.

As good as GamePass is, it doesn’t exactly make money for the companies as people are just downloading games off there day one instead of actually paying for the game.
GamePass won’t make people choose to buy an Xbox the exclusive games do and if every new game coming out for the Xbox now is going to be released onto PS as well not everyone is going to go and buy an Xbox

@Dragoon1994 LRG are king and I love their releases so yes if they do, I will buy it! Been supporting them since 2015 and never had issues... never understood all the cry babies.

What’s GamePass got to do with the rumoured PS versions of Gears?
I already have all of the Gears games physically for GOW1-4, then 5 via GamePass same with Tactics.
PS won’t ever get access to GamePass
