Re: Elden Ring Dominates God of War Ragnarok in GOTY Awards, Breaks The Last of Us 2's Record

Akurusu

@Tchunga Pushsquare doesn’t allow links but I assure you if you look you’ll see that he was counting “awards” given from twitter accounts with less than 50 followers and user-made brackets. That site also won’t be getting used again. He was rooting for Ragnarok hard and when it was getting more awards than Elden Ring he stopped counting. There’s that, and once his methods were exposed he went inactive on resetera and hasn’t updated his site.

@themcnoisy You haven’t played or paid much attention to Nintendo because they aren’t just Mario and Zelda only like some people think. They’ve had Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, Splatoon, and now Bayonetta, Advance Wars has also made a comeback & they’re not “kiddy” just because of the lack of sex scenes or cussing. They’re not the same game re-done for 40 years & it’s also worth noting that they have more variety than cinematic shooter Sony games. It’s the truth.

Re: Elden Ring Dominates God of War Ragnarok in GOTY Awards, Breaks The Last of Us 2's Record

Akurusu

It should also be noted that TLOU2’s awards are mostly fraud because the guy who ran that site is a huge biased PlayStation fanboys who counted any award he could find. This includes awards from social media polls, fan-made brackets, and twitter accounts. Once he got exposed for that he went inactive.

He was rooting heavily for Ragnarok over Elden Ring & he stopped updating the site once Elden Ring started winning way more awards. So TLOU2 probably has even less awards than what’s currently seen.

Re: Poll: Is The Last of Us: Part 1 Really a 'Cash Grab'?

Akurusu

@Gelly Dude, you need to relax 😂 you’re calling me stupid and swearing like a sailor all because I called out Naughty Dog and want more as a consumer? I do have The Last of Us Remastered. And how was my opinion uneducated or ill-informed? Did I miss something? Because all I heard was that they’re re-doing the gameplay and graphics. I didn’t hear anything about additional content that fleshes out the characters more (Resident Evil 2) or adds a few hours worth of playtime.

I had a good laugh reading your comment, but you’re the one who needs to grow up.

Re: Poll: Is The Last of Us: Part 1 Really a 'Cash Grab'?

Akurusu

@Shinnok789 I’ve never seen a remake with this much outrage behind it. Naughty Dog fans think they can do no wrong so they assume it’s just people hating on PlayStation instead of looking at the logical reason that paying $70 for a remake with little to no additional content (compared to other remakes) and does almost nothing to reinvent the experience is ridiculous.

Re: Poll: Is The Last of Us: Part 1 Really a 'Cash Grab'?

Akurusu

@Gelly Actually Naughty Dog does owe me and everyone else. If they’re charging $70 for a game I could get for $20 and aren’t adding anything new to the story or additional modes while also taking away multiplayer, you’re damn right I’m going to complain. That’s a blatant rip-off.

It’s the exact same story, same characters. This isn’t a re-imagining or side story. They could’ve given us a Joel side story the way Ellie got one, but nope. They know most of their fans are suckers and will buy anything they put out. I’ve followed different remakes throughout the past few years and none of them have faced as much backlash as TLOU Part 1. Wanna know why?

Xenoblade DE was $59.99, not only did they upgrade the graphics but they added a new story thing to go alongside it. Resident Evil 2 was full priced as well, but it was a re-imagining of the game that felt like a totally new experience. Crash & Spyro were also remade but didn’t charge an arm and a leg because they didn’t add hours worth of content & just made it more modern. I could go on about remakes that didn’t rip off their consumers.

Re: Poll: Is The Last of Us: Part 1 Really a 'Cash Grab'?

Akurusu

Shadow of the Colossus, FF7R, Yakuza Kiwami, Resident Evil 2, Xenoblade Definitive Edition, Mafia 1. All remade while adding new things to the game that warranted the price.

The Last of Us Part 1. Does nothing other than change the gameplay and polish the graphics while adding nothing new & Naughty Dog charges $70 while the shills do a poor job of defending it.

Re: The Last of Us PS5 Remake Is Meticulously Built and Crafted, Not a Cash Grab

Akurusu

@JJ2 Here’s the thing. If we just sit back and let them fleece us, they’ll think it’s okay to do this. We call it a cash grab because they’re just tweaking the gameplay and spit shining the graphics. They aren’t adding anything new or changing the story up. It’s still the same experience as the original one.

If they added some different modes or maybe a story showing what it was like for Joel during the first few years of the outbreak then I’d say it’s probably worth the $70. But this is basically a remaster of the remaster. Worth $40-$50 at least. $70 is ridiculous.

Re: The Last of Us PS5 Remake Is Meticulously Built and Crafted, Not a Cash Grab

Akurusu

From my understanding the story is completely unchanged, there is absolutely no new content, level designs are remaining exactly as they were, and even the voicework is remaining identical. While it's likely true this remake took a lot of work to rebuild the game in the sequel's engine, what is really boils down to is that this is a remaster with extra steps. And one of a game that absolutely nobody was asking for another remaster of, since the last remaster did such a good job of updating the original. So while the people working on it may not consider this a cash grab, because they're working hard on it, the fact is that this isn't really offering anything significantly new that isn't already available for $20 (less during a sale). Charging $50 more for the same experience sure sounds like a cash grab to me.

Look at Persona 5 Royal or Resident Evil 2, those were remade/re-released and added a lot of stuff that made the price tag justified. Or Final Fantasy VII Remake. But all you’re getting here is tweaked gameplay with prettier graphics. No added content or story changes. Now tell me again why $70 is justified.

Re: God of War Ragnarok Dev Sony Santa Monica Demands Respect After Unsavoury Week

Akurusu

@Northern_munkey That doesn’t apply to every Elden Ring player. I’m a Souls fan but I’m talking about the people who don’t see daylight and ridicule people who make the game easier on themselves. Like the ones who belittle people for making the games easier by using summons or bleed weapons. I once read a post about a guy who’s girlfriend seemingly left him or got into an argument because he told her she was playing the game wrong.

And I said virgin as a joke. It’s not trolling nor is it meant to be taken seriously. I use that word the same way people on here use terms like chad or basement dweller alongside it

Re: God of War Ragnarok Dev Sony Santa Monica Demands Respect After Unsavoury Week

Akurusu

@Stocksy The Xbox fanbase usually leaves people alone until you bother them. Nintendo fanbase causes problems within their own fanbase. PlayStation fanbase tends to go after and attack other people and mention Xbox when they’re not even relevant to the conversation. There are tons of Pro PlayStation accounts that mock everything that isn’t on PlayStation. That’s how you can tell who the virgins are.

Re: Persona 3, 4, 5 Coming to PC and Xbox, No Mention of PS5, PS4

Akurusu

Folks, this is why you shouldn’t pledge your loyalty to one system because you will miss out. And I say pledge loyalty because it’s one thing to be a fan or not be able to have all consoles at once (which is totally fine because there are more important things), but a lot of people behave as if PlayStation is the most important thing in life and adopt this mentality that Sony is their savior. In reality, they just want your money.

Re: Nintendo Switch Has Now Outsold PS1, Targeting PS4 Next

Akurusu

@nomither6 How can say you’re not a fanboy of things when you’re calling a video game console a fisher price toy just because it’s not your cup of tea? That sounds like something a fanboy would say. Sales say that despite your dumb comment, Nintendo is doing well despite all of the naysayers who thought they were going to become third party developers or said the Switch would fail.

There are obvious reasons the Switch is selling so well but I’ll let you figure that out.

Re: 'Multiple Sources' Said Sony Is Buying Square Enix, Allegedly

Akurusu

Oh no. I hope not. Because Sony’s censorship policies have been ruining games lately. If Sony buys Square Enix then we might as well forget about playing games the way devs intended.

Furthermore. Square Enix titles sell across all four platforms. And Sony needs to focus on getting their ***** together in other areas before they buy studios.

Re: Reaction: Sony's Biggest Problem Is Consumer Relations

Akurusu

@Master_Shake There’s a difference between ignoring negativity and straight up ignoring criticism. That’s why they think they can get away with everything because their fanbase never holds them accountable. And the people who do criticize Sony are just dismissed as Xbox trolls.

Re: Elden Ring Easy Mode Isn't Happening on PS5, PS4

Akurusu

I’ve beaten three story bosses and it’s cool but I can’t stand those wizards at the academy who bombard me with magic. It’s frustrating and very annoying, I had to turn the game off. If the game added an easy mode I don’t think the world would be turned upside down.

In fact, the only people you see defending the lack of an easier mode or pause feature are the basement dwellers who think beating a hard video game is a real life achievement.
