@PuppetMaster Nintendo has also promoted monster catching games on their channel. What Palworld does is patent infringement which is totally different and uncreative
@Yagami bro what, Breath of the Wild saved the series đđ if we left everything up to the fans then Mario would never be more than a 2D sidescroller
@Tchunga Pushsquare doesnât allow links but I assure you if you look youâll see that he was counting âawardsâ given from twitter accounts with less than 50 followers and user-made brackets. That site also wonât be getting used again. He was rooting for Ragnarok hard and when it was getting more awards than Elden Ring he stopped counting. Thereâs that, and once his methods were exposed he went inactive on resetera and hasnât updated his site.
@themcnoisy You havenât played or paid much attention to Nintendo because they arenât just Mario and Zelda only like some people think. Theyâve had Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, Splatoon, and now Bayonetta, Advance Wars has also made a comeback & theyâre not âkiddyâ just because of the lack of sex scenes or cussing. Theyâre not the same game re-done for 40 years & itâs also worth noting that they have more variety than cinematic shooter Sony games. Itâs the truth.
It should also be noted that TLOU2âs awards are mostly fraud because the guy who ran that site is a huge biased PlayStation fanboys who counted any award he could find. This includes awards from social media polls, fan-made brackets, and twitter accounts. Once he got exposed for that he went inactive.
He was rooting heavily for Ragnarok over Elden Ring & he stopped updating the site once Elden Ring started winning way more awards. So TLOU2 probably has even less awards than whatâs currently seen.
@Grimwood If Sony is going to charge $70 for a remake of a game that was re-released before and even more for a special edition then the stuff shouldnât come in poor condition. Iâd be pissed if I were these people.
Sony doesnât care about you. They only want your money and loyalty. Quit blindly defending them
Despite me talking *****, I bought it, but I didnât pay full price. I got it for $16 because the most Iâd pay for this game is $50. It was a steal.
@Titntin Still, whenever a PlayStation game gets any sort of criticism the first thing people will say is âitâs Xbox fansâ. Or just bring up Xbox for no reason.
@Beerheadgamer82 why does it always have to be Xbox fans? Have people like you ever considered that not everyone, including PlayStation fans, is going to take Sonyâs *****?
@Gelly Dude, you need to relax đ youâre calling me stupid and swearing like a sailor all because I called out Naughty Dog and want more as a consumer? I do have The Last of Us Remastered. And how was my opinion uneducated or ill-informed? Did I miss something? Because all I heard was that theyâre re-doing the gameplay and graphics. I didnât hear anything about additional content that fleshes out the characters more (Resident Evil 2) or adds a few hours worth of playtime.
I had a good laugh reading your comment, but youâre the one who needs to grow up.
@Shinnok789 Iâve never seen a remake with this much outrage behind it. Naughty Dog fans think they can do no wrong so they assume itâs just people hating on PlayStation instead of looking at the logical reason that paying $70 for a remake with little to no additional content (compared to other remakes) and does almost nothing to reinvent the experience is ridiculous.
@Gelly Actually Naughty Dog does owe me and everyone else. If theyâre charging $70 for a game I could get for $20 and arenât adding anything new to the story or additional modes while also taking away multiplayer, youâre damn right Iâm going to complain. Thatâs a blatant rip-off.
Itâs the exact same story, same characters. This isnât a re-imagining or side story. They couldâve given us a Joel side story the way Ellie got one, but nope. They know most of their fans are suckers and will buy anything they put out. Iâve followed different remakes throughout the past few years and none of them have faced as much backlash as TLOU Part 1. Wanna know why?
Xenoblade DE was $59.99, not only did they upgrade the graphics but they added a new story thing to go alongside it. Resident Evil 2 was full priced as well, but it was a re-imagining of the game that felt like a totally new experience. Crash & Spyro were also remade but didnât charge an arm and a leg because they didnât add hours worth of content & just made it more modern. I could go on about remakes that didnât rip off their consumers.
Shadow of the Colossus, FF7R, Yakuza Kiwami, Resident Evil 2, Xenoblade Definitive Edition, Mafia 1. All remade while adding new things to the game that warranted the price.
The Last of Us Part 1. Does nothing other than change the gameplay and polish the graphics while adding nothing new & Naughty Dog charges $70 while the shills do a poor job of defending it.
@JJ2 Hereâs the thing. If we just sit back and let them fleece us, theyâll think itâs okay to do this. We call it a cash grab because theyâre just tweaking the gameplay and spit shining the graphics. They arenât adding anything new or changing the story up. Itâs still the same experience as the original one.
If they added some different modes or maybe a story showing what it was like for Joel during the first few years of the outbreak then Iâd say itâs probably worth the $70. But this is basically a remaster of the remaster. Worth $40-$50 at least. $70 is ridiculous.
@Porco thatâs totally fair bro. I thought it was like DLC because they overhauled the original to the point that I canât go back and play vanilla Persona 5 because there is way too much to do in Royal.
From my understanding the story is completely unchanged, there is absolutely no new content, level designs are remaining exactly as they were, and even the voicework is remaining identical. While it's likely true this remake took a lot of work to rebuild the game in the sequel's engine, what is really boils down to is that this is a remaster with extra steps. And one of a game that absolutely nobody was asking for another remaster of, since the last remaster did such a good job of updating the original. So while the people working on it may not consider this a cash grab, because they're working hard on it, the fact is that this isn't really offering anything significantly new that isn't already available for $20 (less during a sale). Charging $50 more for the same experience sure sounds like a cash grab to me.
Look at Persona 5 Royal or Resident Evil 2, those were remade/re-released and added a lot of stuff that made the price tag justified. Or Final Fantasy VII Remake. But all youâre getting here is tweaked gameplay with prettier graphics. No added content or story changes. Now tell me again why $70 is justified.
@Northern_munkey That doesnât apply to every Elden Ring player. Iâm a Souls fan but Iâm talking about the people who donât see daylight and ridicule people who make the game easier on themselves. Like the ones who belittle people for making the games easier by using summons or bleed weapons. I once read a post about a guy whoâs girlfriend seemingly left him or got into an argument because he told her she was playing the game wrong.
And I said virgin as a joke. Itâs not trolling nor is it meant to be taken seriously. I use that word the same way people on here use terms like chad or basement dweller alongside it
@Stocksy The Xbox fanbase usually leaves people alone until you bother them. Nintendo fanbase causes problems within their own fanbase. PlayStation fanbase tends to go after and attack other people and mention Xbox when theyâre not even relevant to the conversation. There are tons of Pro PlayStation accounts that mock everything that isnât on PlayStation. Thatâs how you can tell who the virgins are.
I am absolutely disgusted. Iâve been seeing Cory Barlog tweet about this and other game devs. This is why 90% of gamers are either virgins or havenât touched grass in a while, theyâre too busy obsessing over games and harassing developers.
@UltimateOtaku91 get real. Sony fans need to be held accountable for this kind of behavior and itâs generally said that of all the fan bases Sony is the most toxic
Folks, this is why you shouldnât pledge your loyalty to one system because you will miss out. And I say pledge loyalty because itâs one thing to be a fan or not be able to have all consoles at once (which is totally fine because there are more important things), but a lot of people behave as if PlayStation is the most important thing in life and adopt this mentality that Sony is their savior. In reality, they just want your money.
@Zenszulu I actually hate how some people on this site have a complete meltdown whenever a PlayStation exclusive title goes somewhere else. PlayStation is just a piece of plastic. Itâs not a religion or a king.
So glad I bought an Xbox Series S a few weeks ago. I played it on PlayStation, and I canât wait to show my Xbox friends what theyâve been missing out on.
Letâs not do the blind fanboyism. Theyâre charging $70 for a remake of the game when thereâs already a remaster that looks great on PS4. Unless they add a ton of new gameplay features and extra add-ons I donât see a reason to spend $70. $40 would be better.
@nomither6 How can say youâre not a fanboy of things when youâre calling a video game console a fisher price toy just because itâs not your cup of tea? That sounds like something a fanboy would say. Sales say that despite your dumb comment, Nintendo is doing well despite all of the naysayers who thought they were going to become third party developers or said the Switch would fail.
There are obvious reasons the Switch is selling so well but Iâll let you figure that out.
Oh no. I hope not. Because Sonyâs censorship policies have been ruining games lately. If Sony buys Square Enix then we might as well forget about playing games the way devs intended.
Furthermore. Square Enix titles sell across all four platforms. And Sony needs to focus on getting their ***** together in other areas before they buy studios.
@Master_Shake Thereâs a difference between ignoring negativity and straight up ignoring criticism. Thatâs why they think they can get away with everything because their fanbase never holds them accountable. And the people who do criticize Sony are just dismissed as Xbox trolls.
Iâve beaten three story bosses and itâs cool but I canât stand those wizards at the academy who bombard me with magic. Itâs frustrating and very annoying, I had to turn the game off. If the game added an easy mode I donât think the world would be turned upside down.
In fact, the only people you see defending the lack of an easier mode or pause feature are the basement dwellers who think beating a hard video game is a real life achievement.
