Not sure what to expect or hope for to be honest. Final Fantasy IX, VII remake 3 or Kingdom Hearts 4 might be a nice surprise, but seem unlikely. Would be nice to see more first party games being revealed, you would think they at least will try to take some spotlight away from the switch 2.

I'm not sure what I would do if PlayStation does stop with physical games. If you would ask me right I would abandon the platform and move to the one that does have it. I can't bring myself to buy digital games that sometimes have the ridiculous price of 80 € on the store.

Would be nice to have it released. Hopefully the multiplayer is good to and not a season pass, buy to win, fps like call of duty.

@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare exclusives are needed for a console, it's why people buy a console and what pushes a platform.

I grew up in the 90's and started with the NES all the way to the current consoles. What each new console had up to the PS3 was that each console had much better graphics, and could do a lot more. The jump from 2D to 3D was amazing. Each console brought something new. Xbox delivered online, and PS3 took storytelling to a new level in games.

With current consoles there's not much difference, Wich makes it harder to be excited for a new console or game. Wich makes it harder for developers as well to bring that newer unique game, especially for those who grew up with each console generation.

@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare to be honest, it's mostly this site and community that act so negative towards every bit of news. The regular negative articles written here do not help either to stop the negative vibe. Not that we shouldn't be critical ar all at some points, but does it need to be all the time. Just look in the archive of news, mostly is all doom and gloom.

I do agree that Sony should just show more of it's first party, even if the games are a year away.

I get why they would want to make this in a movie or series. The story seems very interesting and if done right could be incredible. Time will tell if it will be and if an adaptation would even work. It could also be a prequel or something, of a previous expedition.

I can see Microsoft releasing a device to hook up on the tv for gamepass and just become a third party publisher with their own subscription service at this point. This would also allow them to buy more studios in the future.

I'm more worried about the size of my SSD.

So can you really only play this game with two or can you also play this game alone?

I almost bought it this week but went with Tekken 8 instead. Glad I made that choice.

And 2025 gets even more expensive. Great news.

I wanted a really big Christmas tree this year. My wife asked me why. I told her so a PS5 pro could fit under it, then I got the look.... Guess I'll be getting socks.

I'm happy for them. If they get so upset over an award that doesn't affect them personally, then that must mean that this is the only thing bad happening right now. At least I hope that's the reason.

@Ainu20 @Dom_31 yeah same here. Seems like everything needs to have a negative spin all the time on the internet. This looked good for me. If you would have told kid me playing on the NES that games will look like this I wouldn't have believed you.

@nessisonett those are valid points. The Porsche placement is a weird choice as it doesn't make any sense. But I guess it doesn't bother me that much, just happy Naughty dog is releasing a new game. This has been done in games for as long as I remember, especially in the 90's. Games like DKC, with the giant Nintendo logo's and the N64 console, and countless PSone games and N64 games.

What a world we live in that people get offended because they see logos on products.. do you hide all the logo's in your house when you have visitors.

This is most likely to create that 80's vibe. And even if it isn't I can't blaim them. I used to work on film and by just placing a logo somewhere it brought in alot of money to finance the project. Most people don't even notice it.

So they have real fist fighters like Zell and Tifa that would fit in a Tekken game. And yet, they choose Noctis and Clive who are fighting with swords?? If this was Soul calibur it would have been the perfect match. Well I guess Square doesn't want Tifa in another game.

Looking forward to it but also hoping the last of us 3 will make it this gen. Not willing to buy a PS6 just to see that story finished.

@breakneck that's the real problem these days with every event and showcase. So much hype is generated that it can only disappoint.

Every time they say get excited, I get less excited. I'm not expecting any new major announcements until early 2025. With the announcement of the switch 2 coming, PlayStation needs to show games in return to keep eyes on the PS5.

At this point they should just release a app with VR2 support and additional controllers. They will hit those PS2 sales

Abby's arms will go full God mode in the Last of Us 3.

@PuppetMaster I get your point, and let me first say I love both vii games because I love the VII world and characters. Remake and rebirth are amazing games, but at least 60% is filler content that's not in the original. They didn't have to do that.

They didn't have to make midgar as big as it is, they didn't have to create multiple timeliness, or add completely new stories. I'm not complaining, because I like it. But for them saying they need to put it in 3 games is basically because they add so much new content. They could have made VII in one or two games max, without all the extra content that wasn't in the original. And in the end profit more.

Well if they released VII remake like everyone expected and wanted it to be. They might have hit 10 million easily. Except they butchered big moments in the story and are making a trilogy Wich will impact sales drastically. Some lost interest and others are waiting for the complete trilogy. Love both games though.

I enjoy watching retrospectives about my childhood era (90's), pretty much the history of gaming. And videos of old games that I couldn't get back then and now on current consoles.

As for current games I like watching playstation acces and gameplay of games if I'm not sure if the game is for me or not.

I was lucky to own both the N64 and PSone back in the day. Even though I loved the N64 I played more on the PSone. Final Fantasy VII and FFVIII, Alundra, Metal Gear, Tomb Raider, Tekken, Mega Man X4, Klonoa, Resident Evil 2, so many amazing games and great memories. To this day the PSone is still my favourite console with the SNES on a second place. Nothing can beat that library of games.

@TeiGekiLord that's the dumbest thing I read this week. Why should Nintendo only be allowed to have contenders for platformers.

That's like saying Metroid prime 4 should not be allowed for next year because only Microsoft is allowed to have contenders with first person games.

@bazchillin odyssey is a great game, but the realistic parts put me off like the T-Rex and real humans. There were also to many moons to be collected, you could easily get to the end with not much effort. Reason why I personally prefer Galaxy over Odyssey

We reached a point where every game can be called a ripoff. Almost everything had been done before.

If it has a better story then the last two movies it will be a win. If the gameplay is good then the camera point of view won't matter.

As it should be. Now people who don't own a premium subscription can enjoy these classics. Wish they would add more like during the PS3 time. You had more classics like Alundra, Crash, Spyro, etc.

Would be great if true, would also be a great way to boost those holiday sales of the consoles. But I highly doubt a showcase is coming, not expecting much for the game awards either.

I highly doubt Lego games ever do that great on PC. It's a fun game to play, but the only reason it excists is to draw kids and casual gamers into the Horizon franchise. That's why the remaster is also released so close to this.

My guesses: GOW tv series, GOW remaster to tie in the tv series and a spinoff with the boy.

If it's online only then I'm not buying it anymore. I learned my lesson with concord. The only online game that can draw me back is Warhawk, that was good fun on the PS3.

Isn't Fast and Furious 9 the worst of the series... It had so much potential with the entire franchise cast being in one film.

Off course it doesn't mean that this will be evenly bad written but it does not bode well.

Third party games will benefit the most from the pro. First party games will always look fantastic even on the base. Maybe the upcoming first party games will have a major boost. I'm not buying one yet as there are to many games I want to buy and since the disc drive is sold out everywhere I won't be able to use it anyway.

So one more generation to ga with discs, after that we won't own the games we buy anymore.
