That Saturday feeling

The weekend has arrived, which means that it's time for your weekly dose of WAYP. With the holiday season in full swing, much of our team are too busy beavering away on reviews to bring you witty asides, but we're sure that you'll make up for their absence in the comments section.

This one snuck up on me a bit because I hadn't been following it prior to release at all, but I've been absolutely hooked on Dragon Quest Builders since I tried the demo last week. I've never played Minecraft before, but this wonderful little JRPG/LEGO building hybrid is right up my alley.

This weekend I'm going back to 1996... Firing up Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour. I'm also planning on trying out One Way Heroics, playing some Shadow Blade Reload, and trying to net more Trophies in TMNT Mutants in Manhattan (still keep finding myself playing that game after all these months). Cowabunga!

As I'm in between playing some of the year's heavy hitters, I decided to purchase an indie game I'd been seeing a lot on social media: Clustertruck. It's not going to blow anyone's minds, but the twitchy first-person platformer has that addictive one-more-go factor keeping me hooked. I'll be attempting to conquer its slew of truck-hopping levels this weekend, alongside getting some practice in my PS4 mainstay, Rocket League.

I am heading out of town for the Portland Retro Game Expo, so besides playing tons of retro games and arcades, I will be bringing along my 3DS for Mario Kart 7 action.

That's us out of gas for this edition of WAYP, but what are you playing this weekend? You know the drill: outline your itinerary in the comments section below.
