We’d prefer it if you whispered it, but E3 is right around the corner. And this isn’t just your average annual showcase with a handful of game demos and the odd surprise – this is the big one. Not only are we set to get our first glimpse at the PlayStation 4 – you know, the box that you’ll be hiding underneath your television – but also a number of titles that will be available on said system ahead of its launch later this year.
For you, that means plenty of entertainment. For this anxious author, it means lots of late nights, cursing, and Pot Noodles. But, hey, we’re all here for the love it – and we’re genuinely jazzed to learn what the next seven days hold. In order to count down to the big event, Sony’s released the slightly cheesy trailer embedded below that ticks down to the platform holder’s big press conference on 10th June. We’ll, of course, have complete coverage of the whole thing; look out for details over the coming days.
In the meantime, though, we’d love to know what you’re most looking forward to seeing at the show. Is there a single announcement that’s likely to make you dance like Claptrap on crack? Let us know in the comments section below – and watch the trailer if you fancy a spot of ol’ dubstep.

My body is so not ready!
Dem wubz.
I'm expecting bad things to be said so I can't get hyped for either Sony's or MS' conference.
If you read the description of the video, it revealed that PlayStation will be showcasing over 40 games from the PS4, PS3, and Vita.
Um finally
Vita > PS4 to me in terms of excitement. Should be gould!
Sony seems a lot more focused than Microsoft for this upcoming generation. Honestly I'm more excited for the current gen PS3 games than anything I've heard for Xbox One.
*sob
I'm so easy...but I'm so excited for E3...even if we're going to hear stuff we don't want to (DRM and such), this is still the most exciting E3 in years for me. So can't wait!
@JayArr That was one of the most glorious next-gen gifs I've ever seen.
@ajay708
I agree with you about PS3, it's having one hell of a send off. I think it'll have the Game of the Year in The Last of Us, Beyond will be a serious contender and then there's the great third party games. Now if they could just get the Vita going. I love the system and have enjoyed lots of games on it, particularly from indies, but we need some more AAA reatil releases. Killzone, Tearaway and Rayman Legends are nice but what is really needed is GTA, Monster Hunter, Resident Evil and the like.
Iron Cerny!
@Gamer83 Sony just gets it now. If you want people to buy your consoles give them reasons. Right now their on fire and their timing couldn't be more perfect. What's even more amazing is that all of this is planned. Everything from the early PS4 controller reveal, the total focus on gamers, building a better development environment for developers which have led to nothing but praise, Sony's emphasis of continuity of the PS3 as demonstrated with the Last of Us, leading all the way up to E3 where the PS4 will finally be revealed as well as one of the greatest gaming lineups in distant memory. The Vita's success hinges mostly on the success of the PS4. Only time will tell for the Vita but you never know Sony may have a few extra tricks up there sleeve for the Vita at E3 which I'm almost positive they will.
If we are really good, we may even get to see the mysterious black box!
Hurt me, you slag.

There's an obvious MS vs. Sony joke in there somewhere.
It concerns me that Electronic Arts so readily dropped the online pass feature. Did they strike a deal with Microsoft and Sony prohibiting play of both used and rented games? It just feels like they know something and it smells rotten.
I know MS could care less about what gamers want, but I'm still holding out hope that Sony does the right thing here.
Before all of this anti consumer talk, I would NEVER have considered a WiiU, but I just don't know anymore. Maybe thats the real reason EA decided to pull all support for the WiiU; because Nintendo wouldn't play ball with used/rented game lock outs.
What does everyone else think? Is this a deal breaker for anyone?
@Gamer83 I'm with you. The used/rented game issue needs to be addressed!
I hope Sony sticks to their guns and blows away Microsoft with a well-managed press conference... I want them to remember why I buy their consoles.. I love the games.. And show me what the console looks like! It won't be the reason I buy one but its been bugging me.. And yea I'm pumped about the Vita stuff too.. I need something more than just Persona 4 Golden in my library..
@craigun
That's the most pressing issue. I also don't want to have to do that stupid 'check-in' crap every 24 hours like you will if you buy an Xbox One.
