The western AAAA games is disappointing this gen but fortunately games from japan/korea/china are really good and worth it.

@AverageGamer Oh now I understand, if he's good at his job at bamco maybe that's why bamco trust and bought his studio. Should at least wait for one game though, although maybe bamco think if the game is successful their studio will become much more expensive.

I heard that bandai namco bought the studio before it release a single game, just like concord studio. I'm beginning to think that sony, bamco and other gaming publishers are being tricked by bad developers 😅

In the end VR is just a niche gimmick, there people that like it but it's not as mainstream as pc, handheld, or console with tv, most people prefer to sit on a sofa and play games normally rather than strapping helm-like device on their head.

Already try the first psvr, it's fun but after two weeks I'm back playing on tv and never want to play vr again.

I'll buy it if the original games is good, bought gravity rush ps4 remaster, shadow of the colossus ps4 remaster, tlou 1 ps4 remaster, and uncharted trilogy ps4. I have no plan to buy ps5 remaster of ps4 games, that's just stupid.

The funny thing about helldivers 2 is nobody see it coming, you can't just "make" successful live service games, it nearly about luck (the games has to be good too of course), being at the right time and place, like fortnite pivot to battle royale, helldivers 2 success, or marvel rivals eating overwatch 2 launch.

The only sure success that I can think of is call of duty free to play game (cod warfare), and when some cod top people goes to EA and make cod rivals, apex legend. And maybe overwatch 1 since blizzard at that time can't do no wrong.

@Rich33 Yes, this 100%, sony should focus only on making the best console with the lowest price and best exclusives so many people bought it and buy 3rd party games, the more people buy games, the more successful sony becomes, receiving 30% cut of games sold.

That's it, no need to be greedy, looks at nintendo when making live service games, they don't copy other games, but making their unique games like splatoon or dlc for mario kart, don't make games if the only reason is "ceo like money, live service is money, so make live service games".

I like system shock 2 and bioshock 1, bioshock infinite is good too but its different than previous shock game, it's more action oriented, cod like game. I hope judas is a slower game like system and bioshock rather than faster pace shooter like infinite.

I didn't play this game but I heard the story of this new game is really bad and fans of its previous games is mad about it.

I think horizon is the Avatar of the videogames world, good games, sold a lot, but not many people think about it, there's no hype for it.

But of course, nature is healing I guess, japanese/korea/chinese game developers that make good games are getting raise/ps5 pro/money, while western devs that make bad games are getting layoffs instead.

@DennisReynolds Maybe, but tlou 2 which is a divisive game sells less than tlou 1 which is beloved by many, this new game come after tlou 2 which means gamers are more wary of ND games. I think it will sells about 5-10M, even less than tlou 2.

Also I don't care about some random people labelling me, maybe about 5 years ago I will explained why it's not the case but now I understand the tactics well, just slander slander slander and hope people back off and not criticised the games, that tactic doesn't work anymore.

@mountain_spider Modern western politics kill western studio. Gamers around the world is okay with normal politics like war (mgs series), clashes betweeen kingdom (usually big empire vs smaller kingdoms), etc, but they didn't care about identity politics, like who care what you identify is when there's frigging zombie apocalypse around you lol.

I already lost hope for western studio, their future is being bought by tencent or going bankrupt, the only exception is gameplay focused games like cod/fortnite.

I'm fine with ps4 power since nintendo games already looks great with switch power (mario odyssey, luigi mansion 3, metroid prime remaster, etc). The updated switch is more needed for indie games, since now even indie games started to have 30 fps framerate (like contra operation galuga).

NFS hot pursuit remaster is good, stanley parable is good but very old (already played it on pc way back then), and I don't even want to claim suicide squad, keep that out of my ps5 library, lol.

Just looks at marvel rivals vs overwatch 2 to see how much characters design is important to games, the games characters has to be pleasing to the eye, the west seems to have understand this before 2016, but now they we're deceived that gamers didn't want this, concord characters is the only characters design they want to make. Oh well at this point I don't care anymore since I only buy AAA asian games now.

It will be cool if ps portal has wii u like capability to connect to ps5 with direct modified wifi, no internet required, just 100% connection with no lag like wii u gamepad with wii u.

After soft modding it wii u is actually quite good as nintendo legacy machine, able to play wii and gamecube games natively direct from its homescreen. And it has folder too 😃

Maybe goverment should be involved if there's real gambling in games, it should be rated "Mature Only" if there's a real gambling on games.

The power of a good characters in hero shooter, I'm actually surprised the characters model are good for a western games, the male are buff as heck (like the punisher) and the female are surprisingly cute (like all of them). Until I find out the game is made by chinese developer (net ease) 😅

The game is looking really bland, like the default character of "create a character" model in some games. The best double dragon is double dragon advance, double dragon 1 arcade, and river city girls 2 double dragon free dlc imo 😃

Bought it on psn after looking at glowing gaming website reviews, absolutely hate it after finishing it, now I mostly looks at youtuber reviews (skill up, angry joe, yong yea, etc) when I plan on buying games, lol.

I think squareenix should release their games both on ps5 and pc at the same time so they can get the same hype, when square release this on pc most pc gamers will think it as "old game" and will wait for discount instead, only gta series can do this type of release now.

@MasterTanookiChief Western developer prefer going bankrupt rather than giving gamer what they want. Although maybe that's by design, china gave them money with string (esg/dei), and when the company stock fall because nobody bought the esg games, tencent buy that company at discounted price and fire all the problematic employee from dei hiring.

Keep in mind that china ban esg/dei from their own company, you won't find esg/dei from marvel rivals (net ease), genshin impact (mihoyo), and all the gatcha games from china company.

Man I'm hyped about this game back then, but it was way back when when ubisoft is still good (rayman origin & legends, child of light), I know the game is done the moment michael ancel walk out of ubisoft.

Man the future of free to play AAA games looks bright, started with genshin impact and years later, this. I hope the gacha is fair at least lol.

There's always place for console, cheap(ist) hardware that you put on tv and play games without doing any tinkering, and play exclusive games as an added bonus. But most console are expensive now, although it's been a few years but the price is still the same, and most of the exclusive come to other system, so yeah, I think steam console-like machine can replace console if valve (not 3rd party) the one that make it and seriously sells it worldwide.

I think the exception to this is nintendo switch, since it's cheap enough and have a lot of exclusive games.

I think what happens is there's a limited number of hardcore and normal console player, and it isn't enough for infinite growth that most corporation want, unlike, say, pc gaming, where they can say there's billion of potential customers, despite not all of it want to play games.

Just don't make it it's own platform, it must be like switch, getting the same games as the main non-portable playstation. If the portable can't play the latest playstation, just stream it, but it has to be able to play the old playstation games (ps1-ps4, psp and psvita games).
