Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 572

@EfYI Yup, I'm less hyped for switch 2 now especially after knowing the ergonomic will be the same, playing on flat back portable isn't a good experience for my hand lol. I'm still buy it for the exclusives but I don't think switch 2 has the power to play modern AAA games 60 fps unlike the portal.

I just wish the portal has direct connection to ps5 like the wii u gamepad to wii u console though, sometimes my internet died for about a couple of second and my portal disconnected because of it 😕

Just bought a lot of discounted ps games for my ps portal (along with 1TB ssd expansion for ps5), including some games that I still play on switch and pc but want to continue playing it on ps portal now (since ps portal has better dpad & analogue, speaker, and bigger screen compared to switch).

Bought the 1st octopath traveller, gal guardian demon purge, astalon tears of the earth, narita boy, wonderboy the dragon trap, tmnt shredder revenge, and timesplitter future perfect since I just watch matt mcmuscles let's play on youtube and it looks super fun

Re: 58 PS5, PS4 Games You Should Buy in PS Store's Mega March Sale

I recommend the mummy demastered ($8), lost ruins ($10), granblue fantasy relink ($30), live a live ($20), valkyrie profile lenneth (psp port, $10), vengeful guardian moonrider ($10), warhammer 40k boltgun ($11), and powerslave exhumed ($9)

Also just bought ridge racer 2 (psp port, $10) a couple of days ago. I also recommend sword of the vagrant ($4 or $3 with psplus), a 2D action rpg with art style that looks like dragon crown.

@Flaming_Kaiser We don't have to play the game as a job though, I don't like collecting the daily reward or whatever that is in genshin impact, the moment the game feels like a slog, I leave it for another games. Yes the brainwashing isn't good but most new AAA games from western publishers already cost $70 but still have mtx (looking at you diablo 4) 😕

My backlog is so large that I don't have time for free to play games right now though, I'm mostly playing indie games on my pc and ps portal.

Re: PS Portal Keeps on Defying Odds, UK Makes It a Best-Seller

@Cornpop76 If valve can make portable that run ps4 and some ps5 games why sony can't? Expecting that isn't wanting a jetpack, that's the portable device that valve, a company that smaller than sony mind you, can make. Of course the price should be more expensive than ps portal if sony made that.

Re: PlayStation Struck by More Layoffs in the Aftermath of Multiple Cancelled PS5 Games

The new hotness right now is china gaming developers, there's suddenly a lot AAA games from china emerging from playstation showcase, like tides of annihilation. I think most investors will stay away from western and goes to china/east gaming now.

@Godot25 Maybe because those devs isn't the one that made those billions revenue, they're the one that made negative revenue on the company.

@get2sammyb Like me lol, I hate it with a passion back then, but now I love this thing. I play ps5 a lot more now with ps portal, playing 2D games on it is like playing on psp/psvita successor. Oled screen and native wifi connection to ps5 will make ps portal 2 a hit I think 😃

@Cornpop76 It's not a handful, it's a new sony portable but it only can do streaming while most ps users want a true portable system like the switch, of course the discourse will be negative.

At first I'm a hater of ps portal, but now I'm the biggest supporter of it. It's like wii u gamepad on steroid, just add native wifi compability to ps portal 2 (like wii u and it's gamepad, no internet needed) and it will be perfect I think 😃

Also the system looks weird but it's very comfortable to hold (again, just like wii u gamepad), and the midnight black version is really good.

@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare Yup, they can't make skeleton enemy in chinese version for example, or excessive blood, but tencent is pretty chill for their western games. Kind of sad but now I prefer chinese censor compared to usa (california) censor, I mean just looks at marvel rivals, what happen if it's made in usa, all the characters design will be butchered, all of the characters will be concord-like lol.

Re: Classic Turok Game Upgraded for PS5 with New Features and Fixes

@DennisReynolds Thanks for the info, still undecided whether to buy turok trilogy or unicorn overlord (discounted to $30 on psn). Already have turok 1 & 2 on steam but want to play it on tv (ps5), and I already have unicorn overlord on switch but I want to play it on ps portal 1080p & 8inch screen

Trying playing 3D heavy games on my portal, elden ring and high on life (got it from psplus). This ps portal thing is amazing, just for fun I tried playing elden ring while my ps5 is downloading a couple games, the result? I can't find the difference between playing natively on ps5 or streaming on ps portal, it's even better than playing 2D games, it's kind of crazy. I still prefer playing 3D games on tv though, with big tv and 5.1 surround sound, but it's so nice playing 3D games at 1080p & 60 fps while I'm on my bed before sleep. My ps5 has become my wii u 😃

Also just bought dualsense 30th anniversary edition, it's so good 😁

Re: Steam Deck's Install Base Estimated to Be About a Third of PS Vita

wiiware

I had steam deck (non oled) about a year or two ago, it's a nice system for playing pc indie games (which there are a lot) and emulation, while it's a bit heavy, it's really comfortable to hold and use.

The problem is the price is the same as ps5, there's no way I can justify that, not when I already have nintendo switch. And now with ps portal, I didn't want steam deck anymore since I can play / stream 2D and 3D games on it. Playing elden ring at 1080p and smooth 60 fps on handheld is a pretty cool experience 😃

Maybe if valve made cheaper steam deck lite oled without all the extra bells & whistles (no trackpad, etc) I'll be interested in it again.
