There’s little over a week to go until the PlayStation 4 officially deploys in Japan, and that means that platform holder Sony is starting to put its launch marketing campaign into gear. Fresh from cruelly teasing Eastern gamers earlier in the year, this brand new commercial makes the next-gen console’s release look like an excuse for the best bash ever.
Backed by a synth pop soundtrack, the clip shows a gaggle of grinning partygoers getting drunk on the DualShock 4’s eye-searingly bright light bar. Throughout the 50 second short, you’ll glimpse a couple dressed as pirates and a man wearing a Solid Snake-esque eyepatch. It also appears to be compulsory to perform the victory sign at every opportunity, because that’s what people in Japan do.

V 4 victory, Vic Boss.
Why is no one Banderas'ing?! They're wasting perfectly good opportunities.
And I'm still not seeing what was so bad about the other video, I think most people are just looking for something that isn't there.
So, we're not expecting a big boycott of the PS4 b/c of the delay?
I am getting excited about the Japanese PS4 release to and i am not even from Japan
@Carl-G Same here
@CrazyOtto @Carl-G Me too I already have a japanese account ready to browse their services lol.
I like this video. Their cosplay of the PS4 launch titles is cool and the Japanese in general make everything look 50 times more fun with their excitement.
Wonder how it'll sell after the launch dies down in 2 or 3 months time.
