Re: Poll: Are You Sold on Ghost of Yotei?

neoxmahi

What are you polling for? Because you don't know the industry and are so zapped by Microsoft and Xbox screwing everyone up that you're asking people to determine how you're going to write your articles? If it's popular good review, if nobody cares it's a bad review?

It's amazing. You can't get an honest information. You have to write to your crowd in order to get views, which gets advertising (which floods webpages like AOL ads were heavily criticized for back in the day) because that's what it's all about anymore. It's money. It's the same reason PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox has already done it, are sabotaging the industry. Because it's not about actual research (like Tom Kalinski did with SEGA) and making the effort to actually grow your product over time as it's needed. No, today it's about keeping a board happy with whatever they say, not because they care but because they want money. Where does it come from? Crummy charts and graphs compiled by someone who isn't a gamer nor has any real interest, it's just their job to do it. So, based off the casual gamer base that doesn't know anything about the industry either other than a quick dopamine fix rules the industry. They're interested in a hobby voiced by hundreds of thousands of gamers that actually played games and knew what they were talking about that fought for the formation of a foundation everyone has today, but that foundation is mostly ripped up and rebuild into a rickety shack casual gamers assume is what the cool kids of yesterday played..... But we didn't.

So, write your articles based on popular demand. You're no different, nor blazing a trail that's new and innovative conquering new mountains and building a name in stone. Instead, you're just like everyone else, to make a paycheck and you're name will be forgotten for not submitting or creating anything new or innovative but the same old dribble. Just another day, another article, another person. I already don't remember the name of the writer that did this article, because they didn't care. They just wanted to be caught up with everyone else. Ya know, trendy

Re: Sony Seemingly Readying Mobile Version of MLB The Show

neoxmahi

What are you talking about? PlayStation has done mobile off and on for a long time. The Sony Xperia is a prime example that looked like a PSP Go and had LittleBigPlanet as one of the games that first comes to mind.

If you're gonna report on something, do your research and make sure your facts are accurate. Your first paragraph is already misleading

Re: Halo the Final PS5 Holdout of Xbox's Historic Big Three

neoxmahi

@BAMozzy You got the idea. Xbox milked these cows dry, PlayStation audience is a new market to make more money off of. They overspent for Activision and Microsoft wasn't happy. I bet the acquisition didn't do what they thought it would and yeah, Microsoft wants the money back. $69 billion was way, way more but Xbox was stupid enough to pay it so, to pay Microsoft back, CEO said start selling our first party games, Phil. You don't have a choice, I'm the boss and I want that money back

Re: Halo the Final PS5 Holdout of Xbox's Historic Big Three

neoxmahi

Gears of War is the bigger franchise. PlayStation doesn't need Halo, it got the best IP Xbox ever had, that's when you know it's real, when Gears of War hits. Xbox actively went after it to acquire the IP as Epic Games Mark Rein was getting ready to port it to PS3

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Forza Horizon 5 on PS5?

neoxmahi

No physical copy, I'm out. Seems all Xbox titles will be that way going forward (that are ports) such as Halo and Gears of War so, nah. No physical copy, and I mean a legitimate physical copy, not Indiana Jones that only has 20GB on the disc that's a 120GB game. What a croc

Re: Switch 2 Exclusivity Concerns Surround Ys X: Proud Nordics as Plans for PS5 Are Undecided

neoxmahi

This is the game PlayStation should've kept playing all along, and haven't. Nintendo consistently shows confidence is their platform and their brand and the Switch 2 sold the numbers it did. The PS4 did in its time as well as the PlayStation 2 before it. Under Jim Ryan and Herman Hulst, however, as well as the young Japanese spineless CEO they have now, look at Nintendo today. Nintendo is the only company competing that if the industry were to fall apart, they'd be screwed. They'd have nothing to fall back on except making toys and trading cards. Sony and Xbox have much bigger markets to return back to so, if gaming were in such horrible shape, don't you think Nintendo would be showing the most concern? And, well, are they? They sure aren't and it paying off for them. Xbox has concern because they've done well enough to sour and sabotage their brand. Live in a dillusional world, but Phil Spencer is just as guilty as the rest of the crew that put out Xbox One. After all, it was Phil Spencer that walked on stage to announce the launch of Xbox One. He helped in making all of those decisions. Nevertheless, the brand is where it is because of him.

PlayStation, however, isn't in that boat. Far from. PlayStation still has consumer trust, though their inability to keep their developers on task is starting to hurt them. Their first-party developer talent is a good distraction.

Part of the problem with PlayStation right now IS their brand confidence, or their executives leadership in managing funds. They've been too liberal rather than tightening up the screws and showing some responsible parenting. I don't think the well loved PlayStation crew was always so YES ABSOLUTELY! But knew how and when to say NO and enough is enough. And maybe that's how every empire eventually falls. PlayStation doesn't need to be going the route of Xbox. Xbox is going the way they're going because they lost consumer trust. Do you see Nintendos work on PC? Communicating consoles are dying? No. Nintendo says they're as strong as ever! And within three minutes of their direct were already pushing EXCLUSIVE TO SWITCH HARDWARE. Nintendo, who should be the most concerned about the industry ISN'T, so why is PlayStation? Xbox spent $69 billion they obviously couldn't cover and Microsoft is calling back what's owed.

Yeah. Jim Ryans inability to stand up for the industry was an omen when The Show went multiplatform. That was telling of something bad. Phil Spencer never stood up for the industry either telling MLB "That's not how we do business in this industry, sorry." No. Phil Spencer wanted something to move his hardware in desperation. He got a small taste from Insomniac with Fuse and Sunset Overdrive, but it was short lived. Which, where is that by-the-way? I think we've been lied too because it isn't going to cost much of anything to port it to PS5 seeing as how PlayStation hardware and Xbox hardware are so similar these days, it wouldn't take any more than a week.

Yeah, Nintendo isn't concerned. Why can't PlayStation retain its IPs on its own platform. There's no need to be anywhere else. Cost? Look at Space Marine 2. Isn't gaming supposed to be easier since Mark Cerny took over? The PS3 was supposed to have been the nightmare. PS4 and PS5 were supposed to be significantly easier, no? So, what's the hold up?

Re: Rumour: Gears of War Could Finally Be Revealed for PS5 at the Xbox Showcase

neoxmahi

@Nakatomi_Uk Oh yeah..... I forgot about that. They're saying the MP won't even exist. Single-player and co-op which is just right. Assuming it's true. Imagine a platinum trophy for Gears of War. Achievement score isn't as fun.

But I'm presently stuck on Ratchet & Clank (2016) one friggin trophy away from a platinum, you guessed it, stuck in the Rilgar race that's sluggish and broken. They had one person get the best time and said that's the trophy. It's preposterous. I was one second away and they wouldn't have mercy. They also have large gaps that should have barriers but, that's not my fault, that's the designers fault they didn't put a barrier there. I can use a jolt and hop that gap. Stupid

Re: Rumour: Gears of War Could Finally Be Revealed for PS5 at the Xbox Showcase

neoxmahi

Anyone can keep saying that until it comes to fruition.

And if it does, it's digital only. Xbox doesn't have the spine to release it on a physical disc, which seeing as how we got Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, only 2/3s of the game was actually on the disc and you had to download the final 1/3. That's stupid! The Last of Us Part II had two discs. Final Fantasy VII Remake had two discs. We've reached the point where that just happens, it's not a big deal. That was the running joke when Xbox was still using DVD and PS3 had Blu-ray.

Betcha it won't see a disc release, that's what I'm saying, and that's IF they even announce it which someone says every time

Re: Sony Reiterates Major PS5 First-Party Games Will Launch in 2025, Anticipates High Performance

neoxmahi

Death Stranding 2 isn't a first-party PlayStation game. Kojima Productions kind of was and Death Stranding was a PlayStation IP until it was announced for Xbox and then showed up on Xbox the very same day. Kojima isn't really a very smart businessmen. Xbox's hardware is dying just as he decides to support it.

Why do you want an Xbox when you get everything for the competing console, but you can't play everything on an Xbox? People are trying their damnedest to keep the Xbox relevant and pretend nothing is really happening but, some of us were there once and to this day, Sonic still doesn't feel right on a Nintendo console, but Xbots don't have an issue with that, but SEGA fans from that era know and ought to have an issue with that. I still do

Re: Shuhei Yoshida: If You Want New First-Party PS5 Games, You Should Support Remasters

neoxmahi

@IMustardMitt Isn't that why everyone demanded backward compatibility? What Xbox made a huge fuss after for so long, where people were blinded by the Xbox 360 and PlayStation was nearly executed because they griped and complained about the price, then when Sony removed backwards compatible chips to bring the price down, they nearly crucified the PS3 and PlayStation over NOT having backward compatibility. What's the point of arguing for backward compatibility when you're just being remasters?

Re: Shuhei Yoshida: If You Want New First-Party PS5 Games, You Should Support Remasters

neoxmahi

That's absurd! Why would you say something like that? Wasn't the purpose of the design of the PS4 after all of that complaining about the PS3 to make games easier to develop for? Now, you're saying they're too expensive and developers just keep photocopying games and we buy them over and while developers just sit there waiting until the cash rolls in to finally get to work, five years later?

So, now we can only expect 1 game per console generation from first-party developers. You got Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games, you'll have to wait until PS6 for their next game. Sounds like a Non-denominational Pastor asking you to fill his collection plate.

All feels like a con game. PS3, first-party devs developed a game every two years, and that was on the console that had the most innovation in its hardware Id seen in a long time. With "easier more streamlined hardware" made from off the shelf common generic parts, you get a game every five years.

Don't believe me? Go back and watch the launch of the PS3 and how the media responded to it where PlayStation nearly went the way of SEGA at their "mercy", then watch Mark Cernys presentation on PS4 and tell me we're not getting conned

Re: PS5's Super Promising Phantom Blade Zero Confirms New Gameplay Deep Dive

neoxmahi

I don't really believe anyone when they say "Innovation", especially Xbox or Microsoft that live on fantasy island in a dillusion that they're innovative in anything.

But, when they say we'll show you gameplay to demonstrate innovation, all I'm seeing is FromSoftware Demons Souls that spawned Dark Souls when they felt confident about the idea received by PlayStation fans that supported the idea but to get around the lab rat situation they had to make Dark Souls. There's just no loyalty anymore, different subject, but before FromSoftware, last I checked Team Ninja lay claim to that title of innovation as an evolution from their side scrolling and brutal gameplay of Ninja Gaiden became Ninja Gaiden on the original Xbox. So, how is a Gaiden-Souls-like game going to be innovative? Just seems like another Gaiden-Souls-like game.

...... Or did Devil May Cry 3's punishing gameplay beat them both? (In terms of 3D, obviously Ninja Gaiden existed on the NES long before, but NES had NES hard anyway attributed to Mega Man, Ghosts N Goblins, and Castlevania that chewd you up and spit you out. Where does it all really begin, I honestly doubt it's starting with Phantom Blade 0

Re: Rumour: Halo: The Master Chief Collection Coming to PS5 This Year

neoxmahi

@RubyCarbuncle - But, don't you think if they really wanted to they would've by now? You really think putting them on PlayStation is going to make a difference? You might see an uptic in sales, like people did when Sonic first appeared on Nintendo, yeah, people did it just to give the finger to Sega fans, or to say it finally happened and they have archeological proof of it now, but if you haven't played it by now, you're likely going to never. I held off my whole life until last summer, I popped the disc in to see what all the fuss was about, a middle-aged man and I wasn't the least bit impressed. The controls were horrific, whoever designed the warthog needs the waterboard and that's the final boss, are you serious? HOLY CRAP! I've never battled such horrendous controls under so much distress and anxiety through the roof! There were cheap deaths all over the place, I was yelling in a pillow and nearly broke my first controller playing Halo, it was that bad. I'd be well off if I did a let's play if Halo, it would've been entertainment value you couldn't find anywhere else. Maybe I could do it with Halo 2 if my PTSD would ever go away from Combat Evolved to even want to try. It's so bad! I don't understand the hype, people didn't know how to play real shooters.

I don't see it's fan pool expanding much, if at all this way. If you wanted to play Halo, you did it by now. This is the Sonic on Nintendo, I still can't get over to this day, it's the middle-finger to Xbots, plain and simple. This is Microsoft now telling their fans to ditch the Pampers and grow up

Re: Rumour: Halo: The Master Chief Collection Coming to PS5 This Year

neoxmahi

Alright, I think we're letting this get out of hand. Why is Xbox going to release hardware and then release their games that are their bread and butter to other consoles, to move no hardware? Why do Xbox loyals even want Xbox hardware when their selection is so limited, now, and everyone else gets to play it all? Xbots are left out in the cold while everyone's sucking up all the fun? Xbox has to have something to hold to it's chest to keep them knocking and Gears of War is it. It's the game they went far out of their way to keep out of Sonys hands when Mark Rein was getting ready to start working on PS3 development because Epic had made all the money they were going to make, Microsoft wouldnt have it. I'm convinced Xbox values Gears of War more than Halo and you'd see Halo make the Spartan Jump to Sony before Marcus Fenix would curb stomp his way there, he'd rather be held in a San Jacinto prison on Sara for another some odd years.

This has got to stop until someone official actually says something. My Google feed is blowing up with ad bloat like an AOL Online disc, its gotta stop and people need to report on fact, on real news. This is all absurd

Re: Expect PS Portal's Glacial Rollout of New Features to Continue

neoxmahi

I don't want a streaming device. Heck, I don't even want digital. My wifi went out on me and my PS consoles were unusable. But if it's between digital and streaming, I'll take digital only over streaming any day. Today's internet still isnt ready for streaming. The tech. Is still behind

Re: PS Portal Owners Spend More Time Playing PS5, Says Sony

neoxmahi

And Xbox wants to jump into the handheld business and think they can survive? Seems like that market is more cutthroat and there's more competition will all the PC makers making their own handheld and Nintendo with the Switch 2? Xbox is just now releasing and updated controller. It's how Xbox has always been, behind the curve always trying to catch up rather than innovating their own tech and going their own way bringing gaming into a unique direction, they can't do it, they don't have the minds and they're always going to be dead last.

I honestly don't know how the gaming community respects them, obviously there's a sizable smart consumer class out there that doesn't and doesn't trust them but, Xbox still thinks they know gamers, that they can exist. Gamers buy their hardware that are collectors, but they'll go right back to Nintendo or Sony for their games. Xbox just isn't innovative. Microsoft hasn't been and never will be. Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer ran their business always just doing what the other guy did not making their own. They've never had the minds to think or do or be that way. Xbox's handheld? Will be just like the Asus Rog but run an Xbox OS. Maybe they'll mimic the PS Portal with their own haptic feedback Xbox controller with the screen in the middle too, I can imagine Xbox doing anything innovative to change the market.

Re: PS5 Fans Willing to Pay a Pretty Penny for a Steam Deck-Like Portable PlayStation

neoxmahi

Only if it follows the path of the PS Vita, minus the proprietary storage problem and AT&T exclusive deal. Those both hurt the Vita. Also, if Sony is to do it, they need to commit to it long term, not just to see how it does and then back out like the Vita. Their strongest development teams didn't even make anything for the Vita, that's a problem. It also needs to run alongside the PS5 and PS6. Finally, it isn't a clone of the Switch, Sony needs to go their own way and do it their own way with their own innovations. Why do we want the same handheld as Nintendo twice, especially one first-party will ignore like the Vita.

Sony owned the handheld market with the Vita, so much so Nintendo dropped the price of the 3DS because they were legitimately concerned. Sony also needs to focus on immersion. One thing they can do, in regards to audio, is using their 3D audio style with the PS5, but they need to be in talks with DTS to do a DTS:X audio collaboration similar to what Razor did with haptic headphones. Very few games actually used it but those who actually have the headphones and have used it, it's hard to play games without it. Not only are their haptics in the unit itself, but in the headphones. As the helicopter circles around you, you feel it move throughout the headset, with actual haptics, as it hits the ground, you feel it in the haptics on the unit itself. Again, immersion. Razor did it at one time but, the experience came and went. Those lucky enough to have the headset, I don't know if you can even find them anymore but, again, those whove been able to try it, a shame more games didn't use it, it's cool. Sony needs to do that with the Vita 2. Again, immersion

Re: After a Tough Few Months, Sony Says It'll Keep Making PS5 Live Service Games

neoxmahi

What morons!!!! We've said we don't want them. It's gotta be the industry trying to tell us it's what we want. Cheaper to make with a higher return on investment through stupid people that pay for microtransactions on mobile, Sony wants more money through cheaper games, but gamers don't want them.

If Xbox wants to take hold of a rock and start climbing to advance on Sony, this is where they pull a PS4. "We're listening to you and on your side. You don't want Live Service Games? Done! You want cinematic experiences? Let us lead the way." Does it threaten Xbox Live? Yeah, it does but what's going to get them back on the map? What can put them ahead of Sony to regain ground they lost to PlayStation? Start pulling the curtain on the industry to show the industry has been trying to play consumers, like the Masked Magician revealing the tricks.

Hulst is a complete idiot. I don't know how he ran Guerilla Games so well and then turned into such a schmuck. But, this is Microsoft's chance to capitalize. Show Sonys playbook (what the industry wants us to do) and delay the inevitable long enough to win over consumers but, it's gonna cost them but, what makes more money, just giving them what they want, or fighting against the grain, swimming upstream, or running against the win making a nickel here to a dime there.

This is pathetic. The people have spoken, but Sony wants to be stubborn to tell us what we want, their studios still just sitting there wasting time and money, that's what's costing them money. Rather than devs working, their just sandbagging the job

Re: Xbox Fans Really Want a Port of PS5, PC Hit Helldivers 2

neoxmahi

Not gonna happen. It's Sonys IP so I don't know why they're saying it "could" happen. The only way it could happen is with a rebrand. That's like when From Software developed Demons Souls for PlayStation 3. From Software, at the time, didn't have a lot of confidence in that style of game so it was an experiment. Lo and behold, however, it took off but From Software couldn't port the game to the Xbox 360 because Sony then owned the IP, Sony took the gamble while Microsoft likely turned them down playing it safe (as tends to be the case) so, From Software sidestepped around Sony (kind of a jerk move if you ask me for a company that believed in your vision and brought it to fruition you would t have gotten any other way) and made Dark Souls. So, Arrowhead COULD do the same thing and reskin and change the title and keep the gameplay mechanics the same and do that and have a similar type of thing.

Re: There's a Damn Good Reason to Buy Astro Bot Physically on PS5

neoxmahi

Sony bought the distribution rights for Disney Blu-ray...... If they're gonna do that, why would they think otherwise for their gaming? I kinda hope it goes the route of Nintendo, however, with high storage capacity game cards, but that's just wishful thinking. I'll take this while we got it. I ain't complaining

Re: Talking Point: What's Next for Xbox Games on PS5, PS4?

neoxmahi

I was thinking about this while reading an article about FORZA, GEARS OF WAR, and HALO coming to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles and, honestly, while it's available on other consoles, for the duration of time Xbox has left to make consoles Ill always think of those as Xbox games, just as I do with older SEGA games or how I associate Final Fantasy or Metal Gear Solid or Resident Evil more with PlayStation than any other consoles or Dead or Alive more with Xbox as it seemed like a SEGA follow-up, I have a tendency to associate games with brands they originated on so, while games are available on all platforms, you only have so much space on your consoles HDD and a lot of Internet providers still have data caps that if you exceed those you're bill goes up, even if you use less data the next month so, I associate those franchises with those platforms. I'll NEVER buy a Tekken game on a console other than a PlayStation because it was always on PlayStation, which maybe other games think the same way which speaks to what Xbox has forgotten about, as far as their IPs, that they haven't revised. The Xbox, when it first came out remember was seen as a small PC so PC gamers expected PC franchises to be on it. Should Xbox decide to release Killer Instinct, that would be strange as it started on SNES but I suppose I would get that for Nintendos console at that time, even though these days it would fit more with PlayStation where PlayStation is now the fighting game console also associated with EVO that's big with tournaments now so, just because Xbox goes multiplatform and considers throwing in the towel on Xbox hardware (as I believe they should as Sony just makes better more reliable hardware and has an end-to-end ecosystem to support their hardware, and that Sonys services are more considerate of the customer saving them money and maybe finding other ways to entice the consumer rather than picking their last pennies they have) but there are still brands associated with Xbox and thus what I will buy for

Re: Microsoft Exec on Helldivers 2: I'm Not Sure Who It Helps By Not Being on Xbox

neoxmahi

Because Phil is still envious of PlayStation and he can't figure out how they do it. The simple answer is because ITS PLAYSTATION'S IP!!!!! He wants and expects solid PlayStation games and thinks he can buy PlayStation off by publishing four old uninteresting games on PlayStation, and expects to get PlayStation's best? If we're figuring math on this, figure that. You want God of War, but you think that Hi-Fi Rush or Sea of Thieves is an even trade? PlayStation isn't even that desperate to want to be on Xbox. MLB The Show is only there because the MLB forced Sony to do it, and you didn't stand up to the MLB on console exclusivity then, you just desperately wanted something good on your platform that you took it, oh and gave what wasn't yours to give away, and your platform still suffers today.

Xbox just can't be trusted ever! And his negotiation skills are pathetic.

Re: Microsoft Employee Inadvertently Adds More Fuel to the Xbox Multiplatform Fire

neoxmahi

Yup, that's damning. If it wasn't that big of a deal, or it were less than what people really think it is, there wouldn't be all of these sudden moves to try to retract all of these whoopsies. It just goes to show, I guess, how large corporations are also hiring incompetent people with no common sense. This isn't a "I'm only human and make mistakes" sort of deal, these are morons that you not only wonder how they got a job with reputable companies (THEY HAVE COLLEGE DEGREES) but they're executives that can't do anything as simple as keeping their mouth shut until an unveil. They ALSO have no integrity. In a law-enforcement job you swear an oath to maintain your integrity, meaning you can't be bought. All of these people have no integrity or we wouldn't see all of these leaks, they're bought off, you can't trust people. This isn't a whoopsie, this is incompetent and he wouldn't be posting anything on LinkedIn unless he was unhappy with his job and was hoping someone else would offer him a better. Figure the math on that, why would you update your LinkedIn if you're happy where you're at?

There you have it ladies and gents. Next week is going to be a devastating day for Xbox loyalists. I've been there with the fall of SEGA and watching Sonic Adventure DX show up on the GameCube and I was furious! But we get over it. Sony also makes great hardware so, while it's frustrating it feels Xbox betrayed you, PlayStation will take good care of you and competition is still out there with Valve on PC and Nintendo getting ready to launch their next gen system.

This is why having such a thick shroud in the gaming industry rather than being transparent is so dangerous, look at all this damage that's unfair to consumers that just want to be treated fairly, it's poor customer service. If this all wasn't such. a big concern, because Minecraft and Doom and such are still on PlayStation, he could have left it and said "Well, there's other Bethesda and Activision Games on PlayStation, right?" But even Xbox's PR staff suck. Don't try and hide it, it only makes you look more guilty.

If this goes otherwise next week, then I guess you have to really give Xbox's Marketing Team props for pulling the best David Copperfield they've ever done to generate attention, like good TV, but it doesn't look that way

Re: Sony Suggests MLB Made the Decision to Include MLB The Show 21 on Xbox Game Pass

neoxmahi

If I were Sony, Id walk. Who are the MLB to tell Sony what they have to do when theyre fronting all the money? Seriously, if thats how they wanna be and I were Sony, then Id tell them develop your own game then and goodluck getting that kind of quality from Electronic Arts that cant appease their Madden and NHL fans.

Bytheway, Microsoft got a rare gem, its a legitimate game from Sony and Microsoft sees it at a victory, not a favor or anything like that, theres no "Hey Sony, you scratched our back, so we'll scratch yours." Phil Spencer took an opportunity and PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan and now Executive Herman Hulst were STUPID enough to fall for the bait trying to play it safe rather then using their brain and taking a gamble with a threat to pull the deal altogether, and wouldve won, and now their own fans are and should be furious.

Xbox are NOT going to rotate the only MLB game they have, and a game from Sony let alone with that kind of quality out, they see tremendous value in getting an IP from Sony that requires nothing of them but the pocket change they paid for it out of their sight. This ones staying in the catalog as a personal Trophy (no pun intended) for Microsoft from Sony. Jim Ryans a spinless idiot and Herman Hulst, the once king of Guerilla Games really screwed this up. Can you imagine seeing Master Chief on Switch or Mario seen on PS5? Thats not good for the company's that own those IPs. Gears of War trilogy doesnt make money on Xbox anymore, what, are we gonna see Microsoft port Gears, Gears 2, and Gears 3 to PlayStation? No, because that would be equally as stupid a move as what Jim Ryan just let happen, what a putz.

Re: There's Been a Big Scandal About Whether PS5 Can Run Games in 4K

neoxmahi

Let's be real here, consumers are going to get a PS5 over and Xbox Series X for one simple reason, first-party games. Sony have proved they know how to find developers that know how to make their games work and tell great stories and provide great gaming experiences, it's already over, Microsoft again comes riding in third, original Xbox came in last, Xbox 360 came in last (Red Ring of Death sure helped console sales), and Xbox One came in last so, tradition will continue but, honestly, 1440p is not 4K, it's what PS4 Pro is doing now. Either way, Sony will still impress with the PS5 and Microsoft and Xbox are done for.

Re: Naughty Dog Explains Why It's Excited for PS5

neoxmahi

PART II
What are the odds or the likelihood Microsoft and Sony construct the same machine when everything is done in such secrecy behind closed doors and Microsoft feels the need to hold their cards so close to their chest and wait on Sony to make their big reveal before Phil Spencer comes out and says he feels more comfortable with their machine and that it can challenge the PlayStation or is more powerful, but the biggest thing this generation is a SSD in every console whether it's Sony's machine or Microsoft's. What happened? Where did the corporate sabotage happen? Someone talked because the consoles are near identical, not like the PS3 and Xbox 360 were, or how totally different the Switch is, or how different the Xbox, PS2, GameCube, and Dreamcast were. Or the N64, PlayStation or Saturn, or the Genesis and Super Nintendo. Other than the appearance of the console itself, the Xbox Series X and PS5 are far to similar to think it's coincidence. Microsoft was just afraid and wanted claim to most powerful console, even though history has shown that the most powerful console has never won a console generation. The Xbox One X, still, lost this generation. PS3 lost the last generation to the Nintendo Wii. The Xbox lost to the PS2 before that. The N64 lost to the PlayStation that generation, yet Phil Spencer still ignorantly does what he does and loses and has never once had an Xbox exclusive claim Game of the Year but Sony have pulled it off twice with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and God of War while Nintendo have even done it once with Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. How am I the only one asking this question? Sony, I'd start looking through your security to see what happened, especially if the developers you were asking what they want in a next gen console told you an SSD from first party devs. Something's up.

Re: Naughty Dog Explains Why It's Excited for PS5

neoxmahi

There's so much speculation in the news today about what's going to happen here or there and it creates rumor mills that confuse people. It's great to see an article like this, honestly, that reports on fact but, there's a single question that nobody has ever bothered to ask or take the time to explain and why do we not know the answer to this question? Are we afraid to ask? Does it affect our getting review copies if we tap that nerve? But you've got to admit, this one question holds a lot of mystery and could tell an amazing story that could bring a lot of money and views, I just don't have the influence or the resources to be able to find the answer to this question, but I feel I may one day bring myself to ask a certain YouTube Channel if they know if they would ever be willing to answer me if I asked the question is prefaced and then asked as this, ready? It's:

The PS3 and Xbox 360 were completely different pieces of hardware and thus totally different to develop for. Ken Kutaragi was a genius when it came to hardware and thus frustrated developers because they couldn't wrap their head around it. Naughty Dog loved it. It was a challenge and a game for them to figure it out and master the hardware to drain every ounce of performance out of it and max the hardware out. The end result was The Last of Us that blew people's minds they just couldn't comprehend. I would dare say Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was the same. Both games were not possible on Xbox, and not just because of Blu-ray Disc storage space. So that said, the question is this: "What happened?"

The PS4 and Xbox One are very similar and suddenly out of nowhere Xbox Series X and PS5 both sport a Solid State Drive?

You make a good point with Bluepoint games, they remaster, that create from the ground up but, if they did, that would be a neat tool to have in your toolbox. As for Housmarque and Supermassive, I think Sony had their chance with these two and they didn't so they went multi-platform so I think that deal is off the table. Your article title is misleading though because some you stated flat out wouldn't be the case, so why? Quantic Dream should've happened and it didn't, Sony had multiple chances and blew it though I'm sure Quantic Dream are grateful for the opportunities afforded them by Sony and David Cage was always very vocal about this. Insomniac, honestly, just completed the Trifecta. Everyone knows Insomniac just belongs at PlayStation and it just feels right, and I think a lot of their staff enjoyed working with Sony, just made sence completing the Trifecta of Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Insomniac. It was a really smart move for Ted Price finally having his head screwed on right and getting his multiplatform need out of his system, Microsoft is NEVER good to work with, I feel bad for Obsidian, they must've been really despirate and Ninja Theory is on it's way out.

It wasn't mentioned, but Sony--honestly--needs to seriously consider Ready at Dawn. I don't know why this hasn't happened yet already, 1887 anyone?

Man, I wonder what's going to happen when this game releases and Obsidian thinks to themselves "what were we thinking betting on Microsoft? It seemed so awesome at the time to make all of that money but look at Sony's pool. Now we get why Insomniac only made one game, why Bungie left, and why Remedy quickly went went multi-platform.... This was a bad business decision."
